There was a thread a while back about this. When Pit hits you with the start of his dair, it throws you diagonally up rather than straight up. This is an SDI anomaly.

I noticed this with Pit as well, you can do a really short foxtrot and therefore a shorter dashdance. However, it is really hard to do; about the same as neutral b-sticking.
