Altsynth
I've been playing Smash in the purgatory between Hardcore and Casual since the release of 64. I'm one of those cliche "Oh, I'm the best of all my friends" stories, where the lack of any real competition kept me stagnating without any motivation to really get into the meta. I played in a few local tournaments, usually placed high but rarely won. I loved the game, but never really had the drive to seek out any local communities outside of friends and parties.
Like many people, The Smash Brothers documentary brought a lil masculine tear to my eye, and motivated me to try and actually connect with the community in some way. So, over decade later, here I am.
Also, I suppose it's worth mentioning that I'm a professional Video Editor/Multimedia Designer, and I'd love an opportunity to use that knowledge to contribute to the community somehow. If you need some video/graphic work done for your YouTube channel, stream, etc. let me know and I'll see if I can help out.
tl;dr - Pretty cool 17 year Pikachu main with a lot to learn seeking out other cool kids to play videogames with. Even if you aren't all that cool, I'm sure we can figure something out.
