Running off the ledge without snapping

Requiring a buffered aerial is bad, because it can easily lead to bad flubs if it's too early/late since you might use a dash attack at the edge or end up using a fair or bair too late and end up having trouble actually hitting your opponent and getting back to the stage after the long animation...

A few ideas on Thunder edgeguards

When I see Pikachu players use Thunder off-stage, it usually seems to be a rising Thunder, trying to get the meteor smash. This is great and all and I use it all the time myself, but there's more to Thunder's strength than that, and I wanted to share some of the less common ways I like to use...

Pikachu needs a buff (ESAMvs Zero)

Yeah, ESAM didn't play his best. It was weird, probably the huge pressure of it all going up against ZeRo. The whole time I was watching him, I just kept yelling "That's not safe!" at myself. Didn't help that he didn't get much opportunity for QACs. This can be done, it just needs to be...

Skullbash is So terrible! - any reason to use it?

Yeah, I love doing this. I've had it backfire a little once or twice, but it usually works out alright. Because Skull Bash is so bad, people aren't familiar with it, so they have a hard time predicting and punishing it, even when it's totally punishable.

Nintendo didn't fix that because it was broken. They fixed it because it was unintended. That's all. If it was just the infinite combo, that's all that would have been removed. Instead, they fixed the jab cancel altogether, because that unintended tactic was actually what they didn't like.

Skullbash is So terrible! - any reason to use it?

If they're screwing around and letting you fully charge it, there's a good chance they'll shield it and get a free punish while Pikachu is lying on the ground taking a nap after the attack is done. I like using Skull Bash offensively though. Just always uncharged. For reads and mix-ups. One...

Project Playhem Weeklies #3 - Livonia, MI (3/12/15)

I noticed that some people started in round 2 of the winners bracket. This was due to the weird number of people and not being worth it to do pools or something, right? Is that decided by RNG? Also, what's up with the points listed there? Is it like a frequent flier thing?
