    Riivolution Q&A and Help Thread

Well, there's no real reason it would need to be, since it can do any patching stacksmash would do before the game starts. Even so, it should be compatible as long as you're not patching anything from the SD card (same as what I said above, RiiFS or USB).

Sorry for being away for a while, I'm still busy with exams right now... >.> You're missing a </patch> on the line just after "<folder external="/ssbb/Main Hacks/Fighter/Sonic" disc="/Fighter/Sonic" />" You also might want to check out this, it makes it really easy to find XML errors...

Basically, once the game has loaded, there are two restrictions: 1) You cannot add a new file to your folders after having launched the game. 2) The same filesize rules that apply to the FPC patch apply to your files on network; you can't make them larger than they were when the game started...

That's not a problem, it just means it's looking for XMLs in two places rather than one. It doesn't affect anything. And... no. >.> I meant delete the XMLs from your SD/USB/whatever, except for the small network XML with your IP. Then you set up your PC folder as you want to, with SSBBtemplate...

It's searching for apps just because it always does that; in case someone fails to follow instructions and put XMLs in /apps/riivolution rather than /riivolution. Anyway, it seems to be working fine then. Once Riivolution connects, do you see the options in the menu? You should be able to see...

    Riivolution File Directories

Are you putting SSBBtemplate.xml in the /riivolution/ folder in your SD root? If that's set up fine, then... You basically put the files in /ssbb. You can throw them in there just as their filenames, like /ssbb/FitMarth00.pcs, etc... Or you can use the disc structure, similar to the FPC's old...

I believe that XML is specific to the NTSC version, because of the over-256 line gameconfig hack included in it. If your codes are under 256 lines, you can use the generic Ocarina XML pack here. Otherwise, uh, I guess there's a gameconfig for PAL floating around somewhere? Akuma2120, the...

No, you don't; that part is wrong. There shouldn't be anything in that XML besides the network line. No options, nothing. All that goes in the RiiFS server folder instead.

    Riivolution Q&A and Help Thread

Depends where the file is. Assuming it's at root/codes/RSBE01.gct on your SD/SDHC/USB/whatever, then yes, change it to "/codes/RSBE01.gct"

Do you have Python installed? This script will download the needed files to your SD card for Riivolution to install properly: http://filebin.ca/zkfajz/IOS37Downloader.py

Well for one thing your param names aren't consistent with the names you're using in the patch paths, {$whatever} Use whatever works, any of them should. Ocarina / Gecko OS has the same option AFAIK. Choosing any of them means it's enabled.

That means that you don't have the right files in /apps/riivolution. From the Riivolution download zip, you need at least /apps/riivolution/banner.0, /apps/riivolution/banner.1, and /apps/riivolution/boot.dol for it to install properly.

Is what uploaded anywhere? The current version out is indeed 1.01 I'm going to need to know what the error number is if you want to get it installed :)

    Riivolution Q&A and Help Thread

Yeah, filezilla deleted my entire source right before I was about to release 1.01 so I missed a few things as I was rewriting the changes it deleted :/

Actually, with SSBBtemplate.xml, it's set up to replace either /ssbb/FitKoopa00.pac or /ssbb/fighter/koopa/FitKoopa00.pac So whatever works. You also might want to check out this, if you have an editor or program that supports XML schemas it will generally tell you whether your XML is valid or...
