    Nintendo Switch GCVC

Melee is not confirmed for VC. Nintendo has been very silent on VC for Switch and even launched the console without support for it. Personally, I think it is unlikely due to some hardware limitations. Melee makes use of analog triggers which the Switch lacks. They could add support for the Wii...

    Floaty problems

Falco does well in the floaty match-ups, but you need to go into them with a different mindset than non-floaty match-ups. Normally, Falco is looking for that one opening that is going to lead to a massive combo, but against floaties you are mostly only going to get 2 or 3 piece combos. Falco can...

Why is Young Link so low on the tier list?

I've played a bit with YL. I'm no expert, but I'll give you my thoughts. He has some good tools. He has one of the better nairs in the game, decent projectiles, and confirms off of those projectiles. He is mostly lacking in quick options. Additionally, he relies a lot on keeping his opponent...

Data All Aircraft Report! - Fox MU Discussion Thread

I can't find where I wrote about it earlier so I'll just sum up my thoughts: Fox never has to fight on Ryu's terms. They both have the tools they need to absolutely demolish the other, but Fox has superior mobility and neutral so it is easier for him to get an opening to use those tools. I...

Data All Aircraft Report! - Fox MU Discussion Thread

I actually think Fox beats Ryu. I wrote about it earlier in this thread. As for Luigi, there is no way that match-up is even close to even. Luigi was genetically engineered specifically to kill Foxes.

Data All Aircraft Report! - Fox MU Discussion Thread

How does Fox deal with Bayonetta? His lack of guarenteed follow-ups off of grabs makes it hard to get good damage in, and all of his recovery options lead to a free Witch Time.

Data All Aircraft Report! - Fox MU Discussion Thread

Fox is easier to combo because he is a fast-faller, the opposite of a floaty. As far as kill power goes, Fox has tons of set ups for upsmash alone that aren't to difficult to get, especially on someone like Charizard who has a big frame. Reads are not necessary to get kills.

Q&A Generic Fox Matchup Q&A (See the MU discussion thread for in depth talk!)

I've never had trouble with Ryu. Maybe it's because I've never played a really good Ryu, but I think the MU is even or very close to it. They both combo each other very well but Fox has an easier time getting in with his superior mobility. He has a reflector for hadouken and lasers for long...

Question: How do you cancel landing lag on short hop u-air?

You have a very small window to input the up air. The most reliable way to do it is to buffer the up air after you press jump bit before you leave thw ground. I recommend setting your c-stick to attack if you haven't already as it elimnates the possibly of doing a JC up smash instead. If you're...

    Fox Ditto?

"f-air trades with up-b and it spikes them" I didn't know this. Are there any other recoveries you can do this to?

    Why do you play fox?

Beside the fact that I mained him in Melee so I feel somewhat of a loyalty to him, I like playing fast, technical characters. Fox is easily one of the fastest characters in the game and there is no shortage of tech to learn. On top of this, Fox doesn't get anything for free, so playing him has...

    Double Sticking with Tap Jump

Okay, I guess I'll just practice it more. Do you use double sticking for bair to or just the traditional method?

    Double Sticking with Tap Jump

I've recently been experimenting with double stick buffering to perform Fox's SH AC Uair more consistently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHnTF4GQQDA This technique makes it extremely easy to pull of the otherwise difficult AC Uair. The only problem is that it require tap jump to be on. I...
