Captain Falcon Moonwalk Guide + Challenges

My point is that, if the character is facing left, the Dash animation begins on the 2nd frame of the smash input Right, whereas if your character is already facing right, the Dash animation begins on the 1st frame. This means the input for B1 is different than A4, because when the character is...

Captain Falcon Moonwalk Guide + Challenges

For B1, why is the first input only 1 frame? A 1 frame input in the opposite direction causes a smash turn, not a dash. Unless you're counting Frame (1) as the first frame of the dash instead of the first frame of input

    Neon's Match-up Discussion

I think it's more accurate to say that some characters have approaches that require a much lower skill level to perform than the skill level needed to counter their approach without spamming projectiles/camping/playing "gay"

    How to beat Lucas

I mean, this is the PM forum. And for better or worse, Lucas has had some pretty significant changes from Brawl

It sounds like you're talking about Brawl

    Wave-Psi?

It really depends on how fast you are with waveshining. You can pretty much waveshine as fast as you can do the input, but with Lucas's magnet you have to wait for the startup animation to finish, as well as the first frame of the release animation.

    Wave-Psi?

You can jump cancel shine sooner than magnet, so waveshining is a faster input

    Wave-Psi?

You can jump cancel psi magnet after the release hitbox disappears, which only exists for one frame. If you hold the magnet, you can jump cancel on the frame after you release B (if you release B and press jump on the same frame, it won't work). If you just tap B to get a quick magnet, you can...

    Lucas General Discussion

Yeah, if you use a momentum changing move, like magent or airdodge>zair, to get out of hitstun, you'll get a boost in the direction you were hit

    Having trouble with speed

It's just a good wavedash out of magnet. If you have the control stick just slightly below horizontal when you wavedash, you'll go pretty far.

Watching Little Boys: A Lucas Video Thread

Just some frame data stuff: The lowest possible (closest to the ground) DJC PKF is done by jumping, double jumping after 6 frames, then using forward-b after another 6 frames. This means you begin the PKF on the 12th frame after the initial jump. The lowest possible short hop PKF is done by...

    Out of Shield Options

Yeah, you can zair out of an airdodge by hitting A during it, but you have to let go of the shield button before you do the airdodge if you don't use the same button (I use R to shield and L for airdodge). I feel like it would be a good OoS option, especially if you mix up the timing and...

    Toon Link Neutral Air

Tink's nair definitely has its uses, and I personally think it's a great addition to his moveset. The hitboxes appear on frame 4, making it one of his quickest moves. It also gives him an extended hitbox that's viable in neutral game. You might want to try using it out of shield, as shield...
