Zelda Matchup Guide vs Captain Falcon

Although Zelda ranks 22nd on the tier list in F tier, she has the tools to stop Captian Falcon in his tracks if played well. Zelda has a lot of strong KO attacks (such as the lightning kicks), and other powerful attacks with transcendent priority.

What Zelda lacks is speed, so it is best to play a campy, defensive playstyle against Falcon, who has no projectile. Captian Falcon is easily edseguarded with lightning kicks and Nayru's Love (which can be used as a pseudo-shinespike).

Captian Falcon can combo Zelda very well. But Zelda combos just as hard. Zelda can chaingrab Falcon with up throw if he doesnt DI. And nair strings can add up to 69%, just end with "The Kick" as we Zelda mains call it and you'll be good.

Just remember, Captian Falcon is just as unviable as Zelda, if not more. So there's no pulling the "tier *****" John. Falcon mains are dumb, they will try to go for numerous Falcon Punches, knees, and dair spikes offstage. Take advantage of this and simply get out of the way, sd if you have to. Even though they may have won. they will feel as if they lost because they didn't style on you and "swag on you". It is better to crush his sprits than his character. This matchup is an even 50-50.
