This is the Tips of the Tricks guide, telling a few good tricks you can do in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Many people on this site already know these tricks, but if you just started, let's begin!
(And it's directions) Means Right Stick (And it's directions) if you use the Standard Controllers. (E.x. GamePad, Pro Controller) On non-New 3DS systems, nothing simular to the can be used.
PERFECT PIVOT: To perfect pivot, tap , then IMMEDIATELY tap . If not facing left, these two directions are swapped. You can do nifty combos using this if the is set to "Attack".
JUMP CANCEL GLIDE TOSS: This will have you holding an item so you can do some cool things. One of two methods can be used: METHOD 1: Hitch foward or backward, then jump (default controls have , , and .) (If hitching backwards, immediately turn around.), then IMMEDIATELY press Attack (Default controls has .) at THE SAME TIME. You will toss it forward, but you can also throw it upward or downwards by moving the or . METHOD 2: Before doing this method, set , , or (On GameCube controllers) to "Jump". You can then use the to throw the item instead of . When hitching backwards, you don't need to turn around, and just turn the or to throw upwards/downwards!
