Rosalina & Luma Boost Grab Guide
This Guide Will Show 3 Variations of Rosalina's Boost Grab, how to do them & Their applications. The ones that will be shown are the Regular Boost Grab, Pivot Dash Boost Grab & Standing Dash Boost Grab
Rosalina's Boost Grab is the most useful boost grab by far in the game as when performed you will get a luma dash attack still, giving all the different variations different uses in game.

1: Regular Boost Grab
Overview:
The Regular Boost Grab will be the most commonly used of all the types of boost grab, it has the luma dash-attack directly in front of you allowing you to get a few extra % and a few other little tricks.
How To:
There are a few ways to do this, I'll list a few below,
Start off with a dash in either direction ( Or )
Then, after the dash has started, during the dash press quickly followed (Almost as if pressing them at the same time) by any of the shield/grab buttons, , or .
Or as an alternate method you can use during the dash (Can be other directions except ) shortly followed by , or again.
If done incorrectly you will get a Dash attack (Took too long between A and the grab/shield button) or a Dash grab
If done correctly you will get something that looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIU7iKqT30M
And hitting the dash attack just before the grab resulting in 3% damage and a grabbed opponent is a practical use of this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-IieBOVBB4
Application:
Can be used to grab knocked down opponents when you hit the dash attack first and have the momentum to have the grab reach where they are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iekc5DdcqF8
Overall: this is a much safer way to dash into a grab due to Rosalina's bad grab range so using this method covers the space in front of you in case of a whiffed grab, hitting the opponent away slightly, giving you follow ups.
With the dash attack by itself, can lead to follow ups of a low knockback move instead of the relatively large knockback of the full dash attack (Rosa's included) or the single dash attack can knock off the edge, leading to an edgeguard situation where you can get a stage spike or gimp to take out the stock
2: Pivot Boost Grab
Overview:
The Pivot Boost Grab is an alternate version to the regular, it covers both sides of you unlike the regular one.
How To:
There are a few ways to do a Pivot Boost Grab, just like before, start with a dash going right or left, next you have to hold the stick in the other direction ( if you were going right & if you were going left) when changing direction, press either & // like in the first one, with the slightly before, unlike the previous one does not work at all from my testing.
If executed incorrectly you can get a forward smash (if a grab/shield button if pressed too late), a roll (if a is pressed too late) & regular pivot grab.
If executed correctly it should look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=388BLz8NODk
Application:
Main use will be covering roll and/or getup options, doesn't seem to be the most optimal but it is still a mixup nonetheless, this and the next one will need people to see what it can do as I've not had much practical testing with these yet.
Standing Dash Boost Grab:
Overview:
This Part will be smaller as it is very similar to the regular boost grab as the animations are similar but not the same.
How To:
This one is the hardest of all 3 to perform, first you want to push you control stick in one direction and quickly flick and hold for half a second in the opposite direction ( then to do it going right & then To go left) then straight after you will want to let go and do or then do , or in the same timeframe as the others, it should appear similar to the regular one when you do pull it off but if pulled off correctly.
In the end it should look like this (Full standing dash grab then what the regular standing dash looks like after) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m1iWjjR5Mw&feature=youtu.be
Application:
Main use is as a mixup tool to catch some off guard more than anything else, more situational than the rest but still worth having in your library of techniques.
Thank you for reading my guide on Rosalina & Luma's Boost Grabs, excuse any grammatical/spelling errors and I hope you can find use for these techniques in matches.
