How To Do The Yoshi Ledge-Egg

The ledge-egg maneuver is a somewhat advanced technique where you drop from the ledge, throw an egg, and re-grab the ledge. This seems easy in concept, but is very difficult in execution.

The first step is to grab the ledge(shocking I know).
Secondly, drop from the ledge and jump.
Finally, once you clear the ledge, use up-b to throw your egg. After you do that you should re-grab the ledge.

This may sound simple, but it is pretty hard to accomplish with all your stocks. For instance, if you throw your egg to early, you won't be able to grab the ledge and you'll fall to your death. If you throw your egg to far above the ledge, you'll lose your super armor and can be gimped easily. The best demo I can find to show you this technique in action is the Yoshi master aMSa taking on M2K: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDnKE5J7ki8

So, in conclusion, the ledge-egg maneuver is simple to explain, yet hard to execute. So don't give up and keep trying it and you'll get it.

its a gimmicky way to use the yosh. her speed on the floor and power in the air are his key benefits. having little recovery doesn't phase yoshi based on her destructive smash and air tail. you do not need to resort to this edge
I'll rate it as average. It isn't that informative, seeing that all recoveries sweetspot the ledge.
You could go into depth about the specific inputs and frames/hitboxes of Edge Canceled Eggs, with the aid of animations, as well as the pros and cons of using certain methods ie. using down to let go of ledge vs. using away, using the control stick to jump or x/y, what the pros use, whther there is one right way, or multiple ways to get a perfect ECE, etc. I know that's what I had trouble with when first learning ECE.
