Toxic City Smash 7!

-Introduction-

Welcome to Toxic City Smash 7! This is a biweekly event held at the AWESOME Toxic City Comics, allowing for friendly competition for those who decide to join in on the fun! This tournament in particular hosts doubles and singles tournaments for Super Smash Bros for Wii U. If that sounds like it's up your alley, you should definitely consider joining this Friday. -Event Times-

(Note that these are subject to change)

~Venue Opens: 3:00pm

~Doubles Registration: 3:30-4:50pm

~Doubles Tournament: 5:00pm

~Singles Registration: 5:30pm-6:00pm

~Singles Tournament: 6:00pm

-Payouts-

~Singles (20 or more players):
1st- 50%
2nd- 25%
3rd- 15%
4th- 5%

~Singles (less than 20 players):
1st- 50%
2nd- 25%
3rd- 20%

~Doubles:
1st- 70%
2nd- 30%

-Fees-

~Venue Fee: $5 (waived if a full setup is brought; ex. TV/Game/Console)
~Singles Fee: $5
~Doubles Fee: $3 (per teammate)


A BIG thing that should be noted is this is typically a double elimination bracket. However, should less than 20 players arrive then the venue will partake in a round-robin. Players will be split into two groups, battling each other in that pool. The top 2 or 3 players in that pool (determined by game wins) will move on to a double elimination bracket.

-Stage/Character Selection-

~Players determine first stage by r/p/s, coin flip, or mutual agreement
~Players ban in 1-1-1-1-1 manner to pick a stage
~Winner of a match must decide on their character before the loser picks
~Winner of a match bans 2 stages, then the loser chooses from the list of others
~You may NOT pick a stage you've previously won on unless mutually agreed to

This is the first time I've ever made a real post on Smashboards, so any advice for future iterations of Toxic City Smash would be great!
