Prelude To Smash Presents: The Low Tier Zone
This is the 5th tournament of Prelude To Smash. The Low Tier Zone is exactly what it sounds like. There will be absolutely no high tier characters in this tournament, except for friendlies matches. It will also feature a randomly paired 2v2 team event, and of course a traditional prize drawing.
Venue:
This event is at the very nice Wyndham Hotel meeting room, with great AC and space for a huge amount of set ups. The event is located off of highway 249 right next to Dairy Queen. Please see the map for location. Yes, Dairy Queen is right next door to us. But, that does not mean you won't get disqualified for being late to your match. If you get something to eat or drink, please keep in mind that if you are 5 minutes late to your match then you will be DQ'd. Also, I will issue warnings for wireless controllers of any kind that is not de-synced after a match. After this warning you will be sent to losers bracket. if this still persists for the same person causing the issue. That person will be disqualified from the tournament. Same rule applies for being late to your match.
Prize Drawing:
We will continue our traditional prize drawing. You will receive a free ticket upon registration. Any other additional tickets will be $1. The prizes include:
1. Jigglypuff amiibo
2. $20 Game Stop gift card

Schedule April 30th:
11:30 p.m. - Venue opens and setting up begins
12:00 p.m. - 1v1 and 2v2 Registration
12:30 p.m. - Random 2v2 Tournament begins
2:00 p.m. - 1v1 Tournament begins
Venue Fees and entry:
$8 Venue fee ( Half off if you bring a FULL set-up)
$5 for 1v1 entry
$5 2v2 entry
Please bring set ups! So far there is no limit, if it gets crowded with set ups then we will have to turn some down. Come early to guarantee a spot for set ups. You will get half off Venue for bringing one!
Full set ups include:
-TV/ HD monitor
-Wii u adapter
-A copy of smash brothers along with all the DLC characters. You must have all the DLC characters for your venue to be waived!
Tournament Rules:
- Team attack is turned on
- Game Settings: 3 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, Items Off, Equipment Off, 2/3 Games
-If time runs out, the player with less damage wins the match.
- Game pad is not legal. Also If you do not de-sync your wireless controller after a match you will be DQ'd and sent to losers. If it persistes then you will be DQ'd from the tournament. I will give warnings of course.
- And most important if you use a high tier character, you will be DQ'd and sent to losers bracket . Yes, even in 2v2s.
