The UP's biggest smash tournament ever! Come join us this November 14th and 15th to compete for a great cause.

GENERAL RULES:

- Winner's, Loser's, and Grand finals will be best out of 5 while anything else is best out of 3

-There may be pools depending on the turnout of the event. There will probably be 4-5 people/teams per pool where 2-3 people advance if we do end up having them.

-Please have respect for the venue and don't damage anything. The Cancer Awareness Committee was nice enough to work with us and we want a positive relationship moving forward. In the event that something were to be damaged, report the damages to a TO.

-Housing: There's a good chance players on campus will allow people into their rooms, however, if you are unable to find someone who will house you, there are plenty of hotels in Marquette with decent rates not far from the event.

-Entry fees: $7 per singles events and $5 per team ($2.50 per person) per doubles event

-Venue fee: free! Please bring setups though. We'll need lots of them.

-Setups:
>Melee: CRT + Wii/GC. Any copy of Melee is fine.
>Project M: CRT + Wii. stock 3.6 will do, but there will also be a custom Blizzard build at the event for you to use if you wish. Just ask a TO about it.
>Smash Wii U: Your setup must have all customs unlocked and have the movesets from the first 8 custom moveset project movesets saved on your Wii U and have flatscreen + Wii U. The last 2 moveset slots will be left blank for players who use a moveset other than the 8 that are listed.

-Winnings:
>25% of the pot goes to the cancer awareness committee to be used to improve the comfort of cancer patients at local hospitals. The other 75% goes to the top 4.
> of 75% left, 50% of it will go to 1st, 25% to 2nd, 15% to 3rd, and 10% to 4th.

MELEE:

We will use this ruleset for Melee singles and doubles:http://smashboards.com/rulesets/melee/

SMASH WII U:

-Game Settings:
Singles: 2 stocks, 6 minutes
Doubles: 3 stocks, 8 minutes, friendly fire enabled
Both: items disabled, customs on, pause function disabled

-All equipment is banned.

-Dave's Stupid rule (winner's variation): You cannot counterpick a stage that you've won on during the set (unless agreed upon by your opponent).

-Both players may use a gentlemen's agreement to play on any stage outside of the normal ruleset.

-When a suicide move such as Ganondorf or Bowser's side B is initiated and both players are on their last stock, the player who initiated the move is the winner of that game even if the game goes into sudden death. This rule overrides the game's decision of who wins the game.

-In the case of a timeout, a game is determined by most stocks and then percentage. If percentage is tied, the game is fully replayed.

-If Battlefield is stricken by an opponent, Miiverse is also stricken (and vice versa). Also, if Battlefield has not been stricken, Miiverse can be chosen instead of Battlefield (and vice versa).

-Stage List:

Neutral:
Battlefield/Miiverse
Smashville
Final Destination
Town & City
Dreamland 64

Counterpick:
Lylat Cruise
Delfino Plaza
Castle Siege
Duck Hunt
Halberd
All omegas (if Final Destination isn't stricken by your opponent)

Match Procedure:
1. Players select their characters and customs. Either player may choose to Blind Pick. In this case, each player secretly tells a third player their character and customs before picking with the third player verifying their selections.

2. Players play Rock-Paper-Scissors. Winner chooses between striking first or second.

3. Players take turns striking stages from the Neutral Stages list above based upon the results of the previous rule. The first player to strike removes one(1) stage from the list, the second player removes two(2), and the first player then chooses from the remaining two(2) stages.

4. The players play the first game of the set.

5. Winning player of the preceding game strikes 3 stages from the full list of stages, both Neutral and Counter-Pick.

6. The Losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next match. Cannot choose the stage stricken in the previous step, nor a stage they've already won on during this set, unless agreed.

7. The winning player of the preceding match may choose to change characters or movesets.

8. The losing player of the preceding match may choose to change characters or movesets.

9. The next match is played

10. Repeat Steps 5 through 9 for all subsequent matches until the set is complete.

-If time runs outs, the tie is determined by most stocks, and then if still tied, by percentage. If percentage is tied, a 1 stock, 3 minute match is played.
