Arc Way Gaming will be coming back to Chase Con Expo 2016 hosting video game tournaments from 4/23-24/2016.
Now for the tournaments we are in the process of figuring out the best tournament experience for the community. With that being said at Chase Con Expo 2015 we did the following:
Day Time Tournament Size
Saturday 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM SSBM 8 Players
Saturday 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM SSB4 16 Players
Saturday 6PM-7PM Free Play -
Sunday 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM SSB4 8 Players
Sunday 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM SSB4 8 Players
Sunday 3 PM - 5 PM Free Play -
Rules:
3 Stock, Best 2 out of 3, Single Elimination. Omega stages only and no items.
No amiibos or custom characters.
Cost:
$5 ($3 to the pot, $2 for the vendor fee). Also 1st and 2nd place received official Chase Con Expo Trophies. 3rd Place received a official Chase Con Expo certificate.
Now keep this in mind this was our first time ever being an official TO, and I loved every second of it. But moving into 2016 we are now moving into a larger room in chase con that supports 3 TVs/Monitors (before we only had one) and have 60 seats available for viewing. We will be dropping the stock down to two. Our major concern is the tournament sizes we should run for 2016.
Our time at Chase Con is:
Saturday 10 AM - 7 PM
Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM
If anyone has some ideas of what we should do/better tournament sizes it would be appreciated. As of right now I personally own just 1 Wii U with SSB4 with all DLC, a GC with SSBM with all characters, and one TV that I could take out. Note I am willing to purchase more before the con and take it out, I just want to make sure what I am purchasing will support the community in the best possible way.
