Location: Side Scrollers, 116 Park Avenue, East Rutherford, NJ 07073.
Time & Date: 2:30pm, Saturday, 12/15/18 - please arrive between 2:00pm - 2:25pm. Do not arrive before 2:00pm since we have a private event from 11:30am-1:30pm.
1 vs 1, Double Elimination Tournament
Matches will be Best of 3, with each Winner's Finals, Loser's Finals, and Grand Finals being best of 5 contests.
$10 entry fee. Prizing determined by # of participants. Further details further down the post. In between matches, Super Smash Bros. Melee will be provided for casual matches.
BYOC - Bring your own controller.
If you do not bring a controller, then our venue can rent a GameCube controller to you for $2, in addition to the $10 entry fee.

Loser's pick for stage selection. First stage selection must be determined in a timely fashion by both competitors. If a consensus cannot be reached, then both players will determine which player chooses stage via rock-paper-scissors.
Allowed stages: Smashville, Town and City, Lylat Cruise, Yoshi's Island (Brawl), Pokemon Stadium 1, Pokemon Stadium 2, all Final Destination and Battlefield stages (except Big Battlefield) or any triple platform stage with hazards turned off. Please bear with us since this game is still fairly new and the stage selection might change in future tournaments for balance reasons.
Changing the rule settings before a match begins will result in a Stock Loss to the offending player(s). Second violation constitutes a game loss to the offending player(s). Third violation will lead to disqualification, no exceptions.
Players who use wireless controllers may not interrupt another's match. Caught doing so leads to an automatic disqualification and leave of the venue.
No coaching is permitted and any form of cheating will lead to an automatic disqualification and possible ban from site.
If you're not competing in a current match and interrupt the current game, you will receive a Game Loss. Second offense will lead to Match Loss. If the offense is severe, then disqualification and ejection from venue will be issued.
Players must abide by the Spirit of the Game. Thus pot splitting is strictly forbidden. Offenders will be banned from future tournaments at this venue. We seek to make this a fun tournament to encourage attendees to join future events.
Prizing is dependent on how many competitors are in attendance:
4-7: 1st Place is $20, Second Place is a Free 1/2 Hour Pass to our gaming lounge*
8-15: 1st Place is $30, Second Place is a Free 1 Hour Pass to our gaming lounge*
16+: Each participant in top 4 receives a Free 1/2 Hour Pass, 1st Place is $40, Second Place receives an additional 1/2 Hour Pass*
*Outside of tournaments and other events, we offer a full gaming lounge with 8 Flat Screens TVs, 2 CRTVs, hundreds of games, and dozen of home video game consoles ranging from the Atari 2600 to the Nintendo Switch. The Free 1/2 Hour and Free 1 Hour Passes grant free access to our gaming lounge.
