Hey, guys this is our third Project M/Melee weekly at Game Centre Lexington. Our first weekly we ran a PM singles and doubles tournament. Our second weekly we ran PM singles and Melee singles with Amida taking both tournaments for the extra pot bonus and Tyler getting second in both. This weekend we are trying to get our name out there and expand even more by just having free Melee/PM friendlies at Game Centre. If people are interested a free tournament can be set up for people to play. Please invite your friends. Anyone can come practice or just have a great time. This is a great opportunity for people that haven't played before or don't have that much experience in the game.

General Information:

Venue Fee: Free

Events:
Melee Friendlies
PM Friendlies

Schedule:
12:00-6:00: Friendlies and possibly free tournaments for both games

Food:
There are a Jimmy Johns and Dominos next door and other restaurants nearby. If you tell Dominos you are from Game Centre you can get a discount.

•Delfino's Secret

Counter Pick Stage List:
•Wario Ware
•Fountain of Dreams
•Final Destination
•Yoshi's Island

General Rules:
•Items are set to Off and None.
•Auto L cancel Off
•Input assist Off
•Stock and Time are set to 4 stock and 8 minutes
•Regular sets are best of 3 matches.
•Losers/Winners Semis and Losers/Winner Grand Finals will be best of 5
•The Tournament Host is the arbiter of all disputes.
•Either player may call for a double blind character selection the first match.
•Modified Dave's Stupid Rule: No player can counter pick a stage he or she has previously won on unless agreed upon by both players.
•Gentleman's clause: any stage may be played on so long as both players and the Tournament Host agree to it, including banned stages. This can be used in tandem with the Modified Dave's Stupid Rule (MDSR).
•Timed out matches will be determined by the remaining number of lives, then percentage of the current stock. In the event of a percentage tie, replay that match. Any Sudden Death match is strictly not to be played.
•If a player pauses a match without good reason (as determined by TO) then the player or team that the player is on must lose one stock if the opposing player or team so chooses.
•Quiting out of a match before it's over will result in a match loss for the quitter.
•If a match goes to sudden death due to a suicide move (ex: Ganon's side B) then the player that initiated that move wins the match.
•No excessive stalling (this is determined by TO)
•No coaching midgame (only in between matches)
•Giga bowser and Wario Man are banned

Additional Doubles Rules:
•Life stealing is allowed.

2. Starter Stage Striking: Players strike stages form the starter stage list until 1 remains. Stage striking happens in a 1 2 2 1 order. To determine striking order both players can agree or play rock papers scissors
3. The first match is played
4. Now the stage list is expanded to both the starter stage list and the counter pick stage list. Winner bans 2 stages form this 8 stage list.
5. Loser picks the stage verbally
6. Winner has the opportunity to switch characters if he/she so chooses
7. Loser has the opportunity to switch characters if he/she so chooses
8. The next match is played
9. Repeat 4-8 for each consecutive match until the set is complete
Notes: To strike all non-playable stages press Y on the stage select screen and then use X to strike each stage.

Match Procedure
1.Players select their characters. Either player may choose to Blind Pick. In this case, each player secretly tells a third player their character before picking with the third player verifying their selections.

3.Players take turns removing stages from the Neutral Stages list above based upon the results of the previous rule. The first player to strike removes one(1) stage from the list, the second player removes two(2), and the first player then chooses from the remaining two(2) stages.
4.The players play the first match of the set
5.Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage from the full list of stages, both Neutral and Counter-Pick. Does not apply to Best of 5 sets.
6.The Losing player of the preceding match picks a stage for the next match. Cannot choose the stage banned in the previous step, nor a stage they've already won on during this set, unless agreed.
7.The winning player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
8.The losing player of the preceding match may choose to change characters.
9.The losing player of the preceding match may change their controller port.
10.The next match is played
11.Repeat Steps 5 through 10 for all subsequent matches until the set is complete.

Remember to be courteous to your fellow players, the venue and venue owners, and most importantly, have a great time.

Set ups:
Please bring setups if you can. A full set up contains a CRT TV (or TV with no lag) + console + game. If you plan to bring a full setup or a partial set up please post below. If you only have a partial we will try to find whatever you need, so please bring it. We would like at least 6 pm setups and 6 melee set ups, but more would be great.
