Atlantic South Quality Smashing (Jasper Alabama)

Hello, I am going to be hosting a Smash 4 tournament at the local gaming store Quality Collectibles in Jasper, Alabama. January 16, 2016 at 2 PM to 4PM

There are fast food restaurants within 5 minutes in each cardinal direction of the location. (Taco Bell, Lee's, Papa John's, Pepitos, Guthries, ect.

Entry price will be $10 for a double elimination singles tournament 2 Stocks 2-3 matches wins (3-5 for Grand finals)

Sorry this is a recent post however I copy pasted the date and such from an older post. The event will take place January 16, 2016. Thanks for posting, and reminding me. I've edited it in the event description.

You might need to put Jasper, AL in the title of listing. It's pretty vague as to what state it is in exactly. Also, is there only going to be a singles, not doubles? I was also wondering if there was a venue fee or if it is included in the price listed.

I will be sure to be more specific next time as to the state of the tournament next time, or if I can fix it here. Also if enough people show up and want to stay for doubles I've talked to the store owners and they would be happy to allow a second tournament if that is what people want to do. The price includes everything except for food, you will be allowed to hang out in the store, compete, spectate, or whatever. Actually hanging out in the store is free otherwise, competing is all that costs you the $10. Also the pool split will be 50/30/20.

Hey the time has been changed from 4pm to 6pm. It is now 2pm to 4pm to accommodate for a Magic the Gathering Pre-Release. Sorry for any inconvenience.

have you thought of doing a mini event during the tournament like amiibo pit fight? amiibo pit fight's rules are almost exactly like singles other than custom moves are legal.(custom equipment is still illegal)

If time is allowing and everybody wants to do that, and not something else I see no reason the 10$ entry fee would not cover that. I will also say that the store has three televisions with two consoles, one of which is mine, so bringing a setup would give us more leverage for doing side events during the tournament between rounds or whenever we have time.
