We're back with the Sixth Monthly Wii-U Smash Bros Tournament here at Paradox Emporium!
We've been out of it for a few months due to other big tournaments happening around the time of the month we usually run ours, but dont fret, we are back on April 23rd with our 6th monthly tournament for the Kankakee area and Southside of Chicago.

Register at the door but make sure you hit going on the event page and share it out so we can get as much of a crowd as possible. It will be a singles and doubles tournament, and will be held right here at Paradox on Sunday, April 23rd. Friendlies will start around 12PM(noon) with the actual event starting by 1pm. We will be having the doubles tournament BEFORE the singles begins, so plan for that to start by 1:00pm. This will serve to help everyone get to know other players, and get warmed up.
We ask that you bring a controller to play with, as we will NOT be able to provide one for you! Legal controllers include: Gamecube controllers, Wii-U pro controllers, and Wii-motes(with or without nunchucks). The gamepad is not allowed and no controller can have macros or shortcuts.
All ages welcome to come and spectate, but you must be at least 15 years old to participate in the tournament.
It will be $10 to enter the tournament($5 entry fee and $5 venue fee) and payouts will go to 1st(50%), 2nd(30%), and 3rd(20%) place, as it is double elimination.
As well, the doubles tournament fee will be $3 per person($6 per team) and the winner of that will get 100% of the pot.
If you bring a full setup along with you, you'll get $2 off your entry fee!
Full setups include: A monitor/TV, Wii-U, power cable, hdmi cable, the game, gamecube controller adapter, and something to start the game with. Please shoot Paradox Emporium or Joe Gross a message directly if you are able to bring a full setup!
We will be bringing the livestream with commentary back as well! We're looking to have dedicated commentators that will not be participating in the tournament this time. So, if you're interested in doing that, please shoot us a message or post on the event page and we can work that out!
This time we will have drinks and snacks for sale like water, pop, chips, and other snacks to keep that energy up!
We do ask that no outside drinks are brought into the venue please.
