The Inland Empire Gaming Community is Hosting one BIG Tournament for the following games:

Super Smash Bros. Wii U
Super Smash Melee
Mario Kart 8
Call of Duty: Black ops 3 (PS4)
Mortal Kombat X (PS4)
Pokemon OR/AS

The Tournament will be held at a house, again this is a HOUSE tournament

The house is located at: 10373 Beaver Ave, Phelan California 92371

The Tournament will be on Saturday: Jan. 23, 2016

Doors open at 3:00 PM, There will be free to play games, and warm up matches for the tournament you want to participate in

Tournament registration starts at 4:00 PM, ends at 5:00 PM for the games that start, we cannot register you in after the official start

Certain games will start later so If you are going to be late, contact me ASAP to register you in, my contact info will be at the bottom

Official Game Tournaments will not begin until 5:00pm

Registration: $5 pot for every tournament you would want to enter,

Venue fee: $5, you will pay at the door of the event, spectators will also be charged $5

No age limit

Smash Bros. Wii U Rules:

We have 4 setups, we are welcoming people who bring setups. If you bring a setup, your venue fee will be waved.
(A setup consists of a Nintendo Wii U AND a T.V.), more setups for smash will make this go smoother

We are allowing Gamecube controllers, Pro controllers, Wii U Gamepad, Classic remotes, and 3DS

Rules: 1v1 Singles (Double Elimination), there will be a loser's bracket
there will be doubles if enough teams are interested
2 stock, 6 Minutes, Items off, Equipment off, No Customs, No Amiibos
(we are allowing DLC Characters)

Stages allowed: Final Destination, all Omegas, Halberd, Lylat Cruise, Town and City, Battlefield, Smashville, Miiverse, Duck Hunt

Smash Bros. Melee rules:
  • Game Settings: 4 Stocks, 8 Minute Time Limit
  • Items are disabled.
  • Stalling with moves such as Jigglypuff's Rising Pound or Peach's Wall Bomber is banned
  • Pause option is disabled in the game menu. If left on, accidental pausing mid match forfeits a stock.
  • You may not choose any stage you have won on during a set, unless agreed by both players.
  • A tie is determined by most stocks, and then if still tied, by percentage. If percentage is tied, the match is fully replayed.
  • Playing as Master Hand is banned

Mario Kart 8 rules:

4 players play a cup, top 2 advance until to next round until final cup then final winner will be determined with highest amount of points

Mortal Kombat X rules:

  • Game version: PlayStation 4
  • Game Settings: Versus Mode, 2/3 Games, 99 Seconds
  • Predator and Tremor are not legal for tournament play.
  • Winner must keep same character and variation.
  • Stage is always random, unless both players agree upon it.
Call of Duty: Black ops 3 rules:

Game Version: PS4
Game Setting: Team Deathmatch (1v1) and (2v2), best of 3 sets (must win 2/3 games to advance)
Stage is decided first by rock-paper-scissors, then after that loser gets to pick next stage
All Weapons are allowed
All Maps are allowed
All Classes are allowed
Customization is limited to 10 points
First person to score 15 points wins
First team to score 25 points wins

Pokemon OR/AS Rules:

Bring your own console and cartridge
Single Elimination (there is a match for 3rd place in tournaments with 16 or more participants)
Matches are best of one
30 minute time limit (matches that go to time will be ruled on by a TO)
6 pokemon per team
Players are team locked for the entire tournament
Players must check in their team before any matches
Battles are flat level 50 unless both sides have full level 100 teams and agree to use their actual levels.
Players who do not check in or inform a TO they will be slightly late within 30 minutes of the official starting time will be automatically disqualified.
Players cannot leave the official room the tournament is taking place in. (Usually the main room at small events and the Nintendo room at large events)
Disconnecting is equal to forfeiting. If it is unknown who disconnected, a TO will make a ruling.
Notes, coaching, and other resources are allowed up until the opponent takes an issue. If the two sides cannot come to an agreement, a ruling will be made by a TO.

Baton Pass Clause: Only one Pokémon per team may know the move Baton Pass.
Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are not permitted in play.
Moody Clause: Pokémon with the ability Moody are not permitted.
OHKO Clause: A Pokémon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
Sleep Clause: Only one Pokémon may be put to sleep on the opposing team at a time, if not induced by a move such as Rest.
Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
Pokémon may be up to level 100.

The times for the Tournaments will be:

Free to play, Warm up matches: 4:00pm

Mario Kart 8: 5:00pm

Pokemon OR/AS (3DS): 5:00pm

Mortal Kombat X: 5:00pm

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (1v1): 6:00pm
(2v2): 7:00pm

Super Smash Bros Melee (Doubles): 6:00pm
Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Doubles): 6:00 pm

Super Smash Bros. Melee (Singles): 7:00pm
Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Singles): 7:00pm

Streaming Equipment will be there, so be prepared to Stream!

We do have about 4 Setups alone for smash only. that means console (WiiU, Gamecube Adapter, lastest update) and TV, but feel free to bring in your own set-up if you want, if you do, your venue fee will be waived

Times may vary depending on how many people show up

All Tournaments will be Double Elimination, meaning even if you lose in one game, there will be a loser's bracket

Cash Prizes: 1st place 60%, 2nd Place 30%, 3rd 10% for each Tournament

This is a House tournament, so please be respectful, we want this to be a biweekly event

Food will be sold at the event, such as tacos, nachos, chips, sodas, water, etc

If you are doing something that puts not only yourself or others around you in any harm, you will be escorted leaving the venue, please be aware that we will have security at the event, so if damaging or stealing any property will result in being DQ'ed from every tournament you signed up for and being escorted out of the premises.

If I go to this I would be going for the Smash WiiU singles. Are the registration times for that the same as everything else even though it starts the latest?

yes you can register at 5 or you can register 5 min before the official time for singles, i say this just to leave alot of time for friendlies and warmups

Well due to interference with another tournament (which i will take into account next time), weather aspects of my venue, The High Desert Tournament i posted earlier will be postponed to another date, thank you guys for at least showing interest but i want the people who are going to go not freeze to death, so yea ill postpone the tournament to a later date
