The first if a series of monthly tournaments for the Eastern KY and surrounding communities.

Schedule:
Registration Begins at 12pm, noon.
Melee tournament begins at 2pm.
Smash 4begins as soon as Melee is finished.

Entry:
$5 entry fee per tournament (singles)
$5 Venue fee

Rule Set:
------Melee Rules------

•Sets between players are played best 2 out of 3 matches
•Winners, losers, and Grand finals will be best 3 out of 5.
•Double Elimination.
•Each match is played with timed stock, with 4 lives and 8 minutes.

•In the case that time runs out and both characters have an equal amount of lives, the character with less damage wins the match. If both characters have equal lives and damage, the match must be replayed; Sudden Death is strictly not to be played.

•Items are turned off.
•The first match is played with a Random "neutral" Stage.

•The neutral stage list is as follows:

Yoshi's Story
Fountain of Dreams
Battlefield
Final Destination
Dream Land (N64)

•Players are given the option to "strike" stages from the random select. In this case, the two play rock paper scissors. The winner gets to either select their controller port first, or strike first. Whichever they pick, they forfeit the other option to their opponent. Whoever was selected to ban first, bans 1 stage. The other player bans 2 more. Then the first player bans 1 more stage. Leaving only 1 stage left to go to.

•For the first match, characters are chosen double-blind - at the same time, so that neither player knows his opponent's character beforehand. In practice, this rule is often ignored, but players always reserve the option to force a double-blind pick.

•The loser of the first match (and of successive matches) chooses the next stage, and then the winner chooses his character, and then the loser chooses his character.

•The loser's stage select options are any of the neutral stages or the counterpick stage (Pokémon Stadium.) This now makes the stage list:

Yoshi's Story
Fountain of Dreams
Battlefield
Final Destination
Dream Land (N64)
Pokemon Stadium

•The loser can also not choose any stage that has already been played earlier that round. This rule is known as "Dave's Stupid Rule."

------Smash 4 Rules------

Game version: US Nintendo Wii-U
Game Settings: Singles: 2 Stock, 6 Minute Time Limit, Items Off, Equipment Off, 2/3 Games (3/5 in losers, winners, and grand finals)

Legal Stage list:
Battlefield
Final Destination
Smashville
Town & City
Dream Land
Castle Siege
Delfino Plaza
Duck Hunt
Lylat Cruise
Note: All Omega stages are banned.

Additional Rules:
Custom moves are DISABLED.
Amiibo’s are banned.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to. (Dave's Stupid Rule)
You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
Order of events:
Pick characters, then stage striking.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1(1)-P2(2)-P1(2)-P2(2)-P1(1) order.
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
