After 5 successful events (Cosmic Smash and Rivals), we've decided to change the name since the name of the venue is no longer cosmic oasis, and we wanted a name to reflect the importance of these events to the Central Kentucky Melee Scene. So welcome to CKYM - RaM 1 !
This event will be different than our previous monthlies because of the $10 entrance fee for the Melee tournaments.
We have a full downstairs area at TCG Realm, and it's right next door to an amazing board game cafe with great food called Cafe Meeples

11:00-12:00 Registration for Melee
12:15 SSBM 1v1 Pools
2:00 : Melee 2v2 and 1v1 Bracket
4:00 RoA Bracket
10:00 Venue closes
Events have typically ended by 6:00.
Rules for Melee
4 stocks with an 8 minute time rule
Double Elimination Bracket
First round with Round Robin Pools. The top 2 of each pool move into Winners bracket, the rest move into losers bracket
Every match is a best of 3 games until Winner / Loser bracket finals, which are best of 5
Rules for Rivals of Aether
3 Stocks
If few players sign up, it will be a bo3 round robin, otherwise, it will be a double elimination bracket
Bo3 until Winner/Loser bracket finals, then bo5.
Entry fee:
Venue/Tournament : $5*
Rivals of Aether - $2
Melee Singles - $10
Melee Doubles - $10 per player
*If you bring a Melee Setup (CRT TV, Console, Melee), this fee is waived. Post here if you can bring a setup: we may need every single one we can get!
Singles Prize Payout :
1st - 50% of prize pool
2nd - 25%
3rd - 15%
4th - 10%
(in case of 20 or less signups)
1st - 50%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 20%
Doubles:
1st - 50%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 20%
(in case of 6 or less teams)
1st - 65%
2nd - 35%
