i wasn't intending to do a complete list, there's just toooo many Peach players around who're somewhere on that level (MacD / Vanz might have been ahead at some point, but since they've been slacking off lately... :D).
haha. Every couple of months or so, a Peach player does well in their region and people begin to wonder in they're ready to take the throne. I encourage this discussion. But at some point, after everyone's had their fun and the hype wears off, lets be real.

*****es. Don't. Want it.

:colorful:

lets be real

Discuss about Pikachu? This matchup is seriously scary. When I'm getting comboed, I don't know where to DI, and edgeguards hurt as well. Also, is there a specific way to get out of the Thunder Flip?(DI wise), or is it guranteed? I WILL TAKE ANY KIND OF INFORMATION FOR THIS MATCHUP, i cant find good info anywhere.

- Edit: Why is FD bad vs Pika?

Pikachu has a good upsmash that's about everything you need to be scared of, if you can dodge him jumping out to tailspike you (he will be kinda predictable, since his air control isn't that good, just focus on floating back a little / hitting him before he hits you).
His combos may include a couple of hits, but his the damage of each individual move is super low (or the move ends the combo for sure), so it doesn't hurt too bad.
Regarding up smash: be sure to DI away not towards, unlike fox the upsmash of Pikachu is slightly angled away from him, so if you DI toward Pika you end up helping him kill you earlier. Also: Don't be too scared of it, it does have power comparable to the fox version (or hurts even more I think), but at least it has rather reasonable hitboxes. With fox it can be super hard to beat up smash with fair, but never happened with Pika for me.
CC tends to work fine against most pikachu approaches, just don't get too obvious that you're looking for it ;)

I think if you just treat Pikachu like a ****ty version of fox, you should be doing fine ;) (although there's quite a few gimmicky things that you need to watch out of (rapid jab stuff, the thunder thingy when you're near the top blast zone and probably some more I've forgotten).

Don't worry about it, I'll just ask in the tourney thread.

Also, oh my goodness, clawing with Peach makes her feel like a different woman, I want to do dirty things with her.

I've always loved her, I've never looked at any other woman, but now that I have done this with her, everything is different, it's better.

Also, playing against KK's Sheik is like bondage. I'm strapped to the floor unable to do anything while she brutally tears off my clothes and does things her way.

It was really nice being able to play Fox and Sheik at a comfortable speed. I really have to stop neglecting my practice routines / doing a warmup.

edit:

Just watch Armada or MacD for how to beat Pikachu. Either play gay or be gay. They both work.

spent the morning comboing sheik again, had two questions.

1. at what percent can sheik jump out of upthrow on FD before you can hit her with an upair?
2. when sheik lands on the ground she goes into this squat animation. when she stands up and is grabbable, does she instantly exit lag or are there frames of lag? if so, how many?

I always assume people post what they want in either of the threads and if other people feel like joining that becomes the new topic :D

Then we should talk about Sheik and how to beat her. I have no idea.

More specifically, my issue with her is at neutral. I know how to DI to minimize her hurt, comboing and edgeguarding are simple enough, and if I hit her shield, I can get something out of it. My issue lies with getting to her and getting the hit.

I'd rather not have to switch to bird for this if I can help it, but this MU has that distinct feeling of hopelessness (for me).

I will try to respond to this as well as I can later.

Not approaching sheik will help your neutral game immensely. What I mean is: by holding forward you allow a plethora of deadly and basic sheik combos: ftilt/dtilt/utilt->fair/uair chains, and needle->grab games. Even while approaching be ready to DI away on reaction, and watch closely for where you can nair out of combos.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ1_vGK8SlQ&t=6m25s example of holding in (badddd)

Sheik can counter obvious FC fairs because she can move from ground to air with a rising fair so easily. She also has a great shield and shieldgrab and can easily get you to approach her with dashattack and early FC fairs for easy shieldgrabs.

For platformed stages, note the areas where sheik can waveland off the platform into a quick aerial, because they're one of sheik's most common ways to swipe in safe attacks.

The MU isn't that bad(it's certainly challenging, the way marth is), but it requires a certain understanding of sheik's strong points.

Okay, vs Sheik in the neutral game: I would have to agree with Atma in saying that camping is a strong point in this matchup. Might just be me, but I usually wanna bait a little more than I camp. Just by chucking turnips, I feel like I never get anywhere, i prefer wavedashing and dashdashing, using a few jabs or FC nair in place. Another I like doing is at some point, when they jump or are moving a little closer, i like to run up and lightshield/shield in general over them and see how they react. If they were gonna come down with a move, the position I shielded might have messed up the spacing they were trying to get at. Also, you just capture more space. If she doesnt fastfall/double jump, I usually guess that they are not going to do anything, but you can experiment with this by nairing OOS. I'm starting to think that jumping out a little higher and FC nairing is better in this matchup than FH nairing, because of the laggyness. But if you mix it up, you can react to how to get in. For actually getting the hit, I like to crouch cancel and wavedash back, setting up for the dtilt. I have a bad habit of always wanting to do the combo from Armada vs Amsah 3 off the dtilt, but im gonna learn out of it. I usually dtilt, FC Uair, and then what ever move makes her go to the ledge, where I can techchase easier with FC Fair(covering get up attack, standard getup, tech in place) into dsmash(covering ways they could have rolled). If they shield, i just grab with the instant Fair>Grab. The from there, I toss turnips at the ledge, at that point, they just wanna come back so it's easy to punish once they do once you get back. The distance I like to stay is right at the end of the platform, to cover any waveland stuff. Besides that, like what Atma said, use nair OOS carefully, its easy to punish, and some things look like it would hit. I probably missed some stuff, I'll get back to other things if you have questions!

-Damn do i need to work on my paragraph structure
