The super moves look aweasome, but what I'm really hoping for are some pre-programmed team combo moves. Say if you got Link+Y.Link or Link+Zelda/Shiek you could do something aweasome.

As incredible as it seems, Nintendo did NOT debut their #1 franchise at their pre-E3 press show, but rather, revealed it to IGN today:

Virtually nothing is known other than the fact that Solid Snake is in the game (I know, WTF???) along with several other highly-anticipated characters.

Seeing as how Snake is in the game (WTF???), this lends a LOT of credence to the fact that Sonic can now be in the game. In fact, I'd expect it. If third-party character Solid Snake (WTF???) is in the game, it's pretty likely that Sonic, a much more likely candidate, also made the cut.
