Since it doesn't specify "newcomers", veterans from previous Smashes not in the latest game are also elligible.

Can not be from Melee or Brawl; must be completely new (Unless they're Assist Trophies, Pokemon, a boss, or items from those games)

Okay, personally, I would love to see the Pokemon Trainer having Pokemon from every region, as since Generation 3 was so huge and influential, they could have Swampert, Sceptile and Blaziken. (They would get tired easily). For Gen. 2, Bayleef (it doesn't look ridiculous in most's eyes), Feraligatr, and Cyndaquil (Because he's so damn cute). 4: Infernape (because of popularity), Grotle, so he won't be impossibly slow, and Piplup (same reason as Cyndaquil). I read on a poll that snivy's the most popular starter of gen. 5, so Serperior, Samurott, and Tepig (Must I bring the Cyndaquil reason up again?). Generation 6 will be theirs to decide, as we do not know how they will end up. Also, Pokemon Alliance: Cubone, Pikachu, and Dragonite (2nd trio of elements). For the ones with multiple Pokemon of the same evolutionary level, just make them tire differently to even it out.

Other than that, I really want Arceus to be the final boss, maybe a customizable version of Lucas so you don't have to play as a kid when you're 20. Petey Piranha makes a good first boss, and POSSIBLY the Ender Dragon would be a good boss. Pikachu should still be a solo character as well. I have wanted Mewtwo to come back with better speed and gravity so he doesn't suck. I don't want Jigglypuff, she's too hated. I want for the waddledees, pidgeys, bidoof, all of those things to be enemies in the storymode. The story behind the Pkmn Alliance is that some wild Pokemon decided to join each other.
