So I found the very vague outline of what may be Greninja in the Direct Trailer.
I'm really having doubts about this, and thinking that this rock formation is actually Greninja may be a bit of a stretch.

True, but Greninja was in the clouds in Melee.
Therefore, Ridley and Mewtwo are likely to be cut.
The real newcomer is an Ice Climber like team of "Cloud & Rocks" from the Direct.

As I see you guys are talking about about DLC then I'm gonna give my opinion about it
DLC should be used for
a) Semi clones
b) Characters that didn't manage to make it, for example in the original 1 we would have gotten mewtwo, king dedede and bowser, in melee we would have gotten king dedede, in brawl we would have gotten mewtwo, roy, pusle and minun, etc
c) Extra characters that Sakurai wanted to add but never got time to work with them, basically extra characters
Characters like KKR, Mewtwo, Ridley or Palutena should be in the game since the beginning

My hope for Ridley keeps going up and down. Sometimes I think he's likely, and other times it's the opposite. But every time I read this thread, my hope increases (unless *gasp* a TROLL APPEARS!). So, I will try to keep up more and post along.

Oh wow, that's really just grasping for straws there. Why would Sakurai hint at Pac-Man through a reveal trailer for a Pokemon newcomer? I would've thought the Namco-Bandai items shown in the Direct would be good enough.
Then again, I'm finding myself worried about Sakurai's sanity regarding the constant hints and nods towards Ridkey's presence in SSB4.
