Ok, it seem you guys managed to put me at ease again :)
I'll naturally just chance it. If it DOES by any odd chance wreck my Wii with a future update, it just means I won't get that new computer I am saving for as fast as I would like ;)

i don't think it's risky at all, but i wouldn't do it, simply because it's useless.

EDIT: i was answering to the guy who mentioned he should update his wii to 3.2E
Seriously, every1 is posting 20 posts in like 5 seconds xD

Lol, do you have to enter the Disc Channel after inserting the Freeloader for those lines to appear on the screen? Do you have to enter Disc Channel every time you insert the Freeloader to make it work at all?

Psyniac? What do you mean by Apple? =S
If you mean a Mac, I have a PC, not a Mac xP

Has anyone else with a copy had problems with lagging cut scenes in SSE? Or horrible loading times?
I've heard Americans talk about this, but I've yet to experience any kind of lag, or horrible loading time.
Is it just me?

You think thats bad. Mines been shipped but it can arrive at ANY time. 1 to 14 Business Days via airmail...I mean knowing you wont get it til a specific day is one thing...but knowing you may get it today for every day...that just gnaws at ya :p
I'm in the same boat, also ordered via airmail, but I'm assuming it arrives monday, and wednesday maximum.

Any recommended shipping places for Freeloader which don't use PayPal?

And, good that it's working for everyone :)

Does anybody have a tracking number from codejunkies for the freeloader? Because I haven't and the site says it was shipped 07-03-2008, BTW: my order number was somewhere around 4200

Well Brawl has horrible loading times and there's nothing you can do about it. Don't know about the lagging, might be cause dual-layer discs are harder to read. Some future update on the dual-layer thing might just increase the reading performance.

Edit: My Freeloader was also shipped form Codejunkies on 7.3. and no tracking number. But I live in Finland so that might be why there isn't. My order is also around 4200, just below. I didn't get any confirmation by email also so that worries me a little.

No, you don't need to be in the disc channel, it works from Wii Menu as well.
I copied the entire leaflet that is inside the freeloader case on page 63, it gives a pretty detailed guide on how to use it and the dangers of firmware updating.

Ok, the user giude and FAQ is up. I think that you've already asked some questions, but if you want them up in the OP, I'll have to ask you to ask the questions again. And if there's something that's wrong or that I've missed in the user guide, then please tell me.

I'm from the Netherlands, just above order 4200, and also no confirmation e-mail
I guess I can expect the freeloader anytime this week then?

Oh, ok. I think I'll add that leaflet to the user guide as well.

Mine is completely fine.
I've heard other people moaning about it though. I'm not experiencing any of it.

Thanks to those testing it for the updates. Sounds like the update on the disk is not actually touching the firmware, which is great news. Now I just need to wait for my beautiful copy of Brawl to arrive, Freeloader came today.

They didn't put the freeloader in twice or their lens is dusty...
It works, because I believe those who have tested it here.

EDIT: I don't even had a mail from UPS with a tracking number yet...

Dirtyposion: Sorry, I can't reply to private messages because I don't have any of the smashboards images.

I had 3.2 E when I put in Brawl, and my Brawl works perfectly. I don't know if it works with 3.1 E or not.

3.2 however definitely works.

Yes. But now they said they put it in twice.

BUT has someone tried it with 3.2E and has it worked?
Ok. good to know. could you make a video showing you doing it? For confirmation and so I know how to do and when to eject the freeloader.

do you have to swap every time
Man some people really have to read :p Same questions are like asked 10 times on each page.
You have to put in the freeloader, take it out , and then put Brawl in everytime (except for the first why u do a Dual Boot)

W00T, I have been playing for about 30 Mins in Training Mode!

But I don't like the fact that my Wii is making all these strange nosies when loading happens lol....

And if anyone wants to know my console was 3.2E and I used the insert the Freeloader twice method to install the update.

Ok , have you ordered it yet Andromeda? And what version of Wii do you have? 3.2E?
Wow, you really want to know if I have, right? :p I've ordered the Freeloader, but not Brawl. But I think I'll do later, when dad comes home from work. My Wii version is currently 3.1E, but I'm about to update it right now acctually.

It should work on either 3.1 or 3.2. i should think.
3.2 might be safer, since the Wii doesn't need to perform the 3.2 update from the game disk if you're already on 3.2

Well. I'mma connect my Wifi now. Might think of having a few matches later on. Still feels strange right now. Still need a little more practise.

I cry to think that others are playing Brawl, and not me.

Starfox: Nah, sounds normal for me when it loads. Sometimes it'll load very loudly though. Only sometimes though.

It only happens to Brawl....

Also I should say this is the first time this ever happened to me, When I Did the Brawl update and after the console reset, IT didn't want to eject the disc!!! I had to turn the Wii off and On 3 times until it let me take the disc out. And let me repeat this only happened today and I had My Wii since the PAL release!

I'd say it's because your Wiis optical drives lens is dirty. It makes noise cause it struggles to read the disc. But that's just what I think. I'm no specialist in these things.
