Would it be better to start a new thread or ask Firus to transfer powers to me?Ninja-d by Metal~Mario. You can do it mang.
Why is that, exactly?NFE + 5 This ends poorly
Those rules are mediocre alternatives, at best. Keep them banned.U-Turn should only be allowed if it finishes off the opponent.
Pursuit should not be allowed to be used the first turn by the counterer.
It's not that hard to understand.^K.
I was going to, but Platy's system confuses me more than Spinda.

Naw, I can do it.Platypus updates the scores whenever he counters.
But I can help with that too if the need arises.
We just discussed the problems with this a page or two ago. Choice items would be too ridiculous. If we allowed them, we have to change other rules regarding "everything goes best for Pokemon being countered, and vice versa" because if the Pokemon in line to counter was say immune to that then we'd have to assume another move to be in use, which you cannot do with Choice items.U-turn/Pursuit/Choice Items should be allowed
The reason to include U-turn is since this counter game is just treating the battle as a 1v1 situation, its secondary effect wouldn't come into play. When you have only one pokemon left, U-turn works as a normal attack would and there is no secondary switching effect.I did some thinking about U-turn last night.
And I'll keep it banned, because if you use U-turn, then you leave the fight, meaning you can't beat your opponent without leaving battle, unless you use it as the kill move or we assume you have no remaining pokes, which is impossible, given we are countering and therefore switching out to someone else.
My theory on U-turn. If you can give a better argument for including it, I'll listen. I could also allow it only as a killing move or just negate its secondary effect.
I don't see why choice items change this. Just use the right move. The rules don't affect move-choice and each counter battle is taken anew so what you used against the previous pokemon is also irrelevant. We just discussed the problems with this a page or two ago. That's my take on it.
