So I was watching a match featuring Nairo's ZSS and this happened.
At first I was surprised, then I asked myself if this was possible with Samus. And after some time spent in the lab, I found out it is.
And here a concrete situation use :
So now I don't think this is already known? At least I never saw anyone doing it :V.
Anyway it's really easy to perform but it takes some time to master. You need to use the reverse b side cancel on the ledge, then keep going in that direction, else you wont have enough space for your tether to grab. In instance if you wanna do it on the left edge the input will be :
(go near ledge)(reverse B side cancel) (make sure to keep your momentum on the left), then
And for those who don't know, we can release a tethered ledge on frame 9 while a normally caught ledge can be released on frame 23. Which means this AT is a gain of 14 frames, making sure our B-air is now a true option, same for reversed charged shot (you have no idea how stylish it gets).
Maybe spike D-air is also possible, but this requires more testing
I'd say Samus has now a new safer kill option than her regular ledge trump.
