I am here to report a glitch.

When you get hit while holding one of Link's bombs, while playing as Link, your bomb disappears.

Doesn't seem to be happening for me unless the bomb is knocking the bomb out of your hands due to high KB.

Anyone know if there's anything regarding being able to have Smash Flash 2 on the Wii Homebrew?

I actually asked about that specifically during Apex 2014. Unfortunately, the answer was no, because they'd "basically have to port Flash to the Wii from scratch".

No Homebrew SWF players exist, either. I know, I've looked.

Aw man. Yeah that does sound difficult to do though. Ah well. I hate playing games on keyboard and I'm not too interested in buying a controller for PC. But I'll probably just suck it up and try out SSF2 anyways.

If you have a PS3/4 or Xbox 360 controller by any chance, those work as well.

Oh yeah! So I can just plug in the PS3 controller with the USB cord that's used for charging?
If it's first-party, you'll need some external software called Better DS3 to make the computer detect it, but that's a cinch to get. So yeah, it's pretty much that after some quick set-up.

just found out a bug(or idk)
why the online mode+active the account and so on did not work for me(+possible alot of others outside US) and really hoping this will be fixed:
changed my real IP address to US and it worked but does not work with europa IP address(possible not rest of the world but US)

so im guessing only ppl from US can use the online mode
remeber there is also something outside US so i hope this will be fixed

We haven't blocked any non-US IPs, Online just isn't working 100% yet. We're having quite the time trying to keep it up after all of the media coverage we received.

Is there a place where I can go to look for people wanting to play online SSF2 with me?

There's a thread specifically for it both here and on the McLeodGaming forums. (Though the one here is REALLY inactive.)

I've been playing some online matches lately--well, I should say I've been TRYING to--, and have come to the conclusion that this game's netcode is terrible. Plain and simple. It's a pile of crap. 90% of my matches are unsuccessful. They either desync or disconnect. The few matches I do manage to have are the biggest lagfests ever. Even a 1-on-1 on a static stage with both players close by is pretty much impossible to play well.

The dev team is working tirelessly to try to improve things. They do have to make this from scratch. The exact same bugs keep being reported hundreds of times on the MG forums, ones that they're not trying to release fixes for yet because they don't want to risk making things worse until they're absolutely sure they have a stable solution, so it's a wonder they don't react like;

I understand that, but sometimes it's just better to ask/report anyway in some situations... or rather if you don't see the bug reported.

For example, whenever I play on Casino Night Zone, after a couple seconds no matter the scenario, the game tends to lock up. Or rather, the characters and everything on screen pauses, but the timer is still going and I can pause and exit the match. I even made a replay file of an example.

Notice how there's no more inputs or anything after a certain time.

You don't have the newest version of the game, you gotta redownload it.

Hello I have a concern. I am trying to play Smash Flash 2 with my GameCube controller using the official Nintendo Wii U GameCube adapter and it is not working. I have already installed the drivers needed to make the adaptor work on Windows from elmassivo and have already calibrated the controller. Now I want to know. How do I set it up so I can play Smash Flash 2 with my GameCube Controller? Is there something I need to import into the import data section in the data section in the main menu of Smash Flash? Please I need help and don't know what else to do.

Unfortunately Flash Player itself has a completely broken Joypad emulator so we weren't able to add direct joypad/gamepad support. We (fortunately) have awesome tools like XPadder and Joy2Key, though!

rollback doesn't work for smash, it's too dynamic.

here's a reddit comment i wrote up about that a long time ago

I understand. Also, I just recently looked up other online systems games use (like starcraft 2, dota 2, LoL, etc...) and they said this on wikipedia (lol)
"Since the 1990s, professional teams or organized clans have set up matches via Internet Relay Chat networks such as QuakeNet. As esports has developed, it has also become common for players to use automated matchmaking clients built into the games themselves. This was popularized by the 1996 release of Blizzard'sBattle.net, which has been integrated into both the Warcraft and StarCraft series. Automated matchmaking has become commonplace in console gaming as well, with services such as Xbox Live and thePlayStation Network. After competitors have contacted each other, the game is often managed by a game server, either remotely to each of the competitors, or running on one of the competitor's machines."

By the way, shouldn't this thread be moved to the Developer's Studio boards now that it's a thing?

Very impressed with the Direct.

- Nice new logo
- Great to hear this is the second to last major demo.
- The new Classic mode mechanics are brilliant
- Desk looks super fun!
- I love Tails' new Forward B. His old one was pretty bleh.
- Beautiful sprite work as usual
- Dat Magikarp troll
- Pokémon Coliseum is badass
- Super excited for revamped Target Test
- ARENA: SANDBAG SOCCER IS FRIGGIN AMAZING!!!
- Can't wait for more Arena news
- Bowser!

I just have one question: The SSB Crusade staff has stated that they were asked to not stream this year at APEX due to Nintendo sponsoring. Should I worry about SSF2 suffering the same fate?
