I use L to shield and R to wavedash out of shield, but it's actually easy to use the same button to shield and to wavedash. Just don't press the button down all the way to shield, and press it down the rest of the way to wavedash.

I agree, wavedashing out of shield is much easier for me just using the same button, anyways...

Edit: I agree, it's easier for me with just R. At first it was really hard, but I think that's just cause I didn't have the timing yet.

Y to jump sometimes up (usually for jumping out of shine or shield, also for shield pressuring with shffled nair shines with fox)
edit: imo Y to B = best way to shdl and double shine
yoshi's story or pokemon stadium depending on who im playing against
battlefield or fountain of dreams depending on who i am (i dont like FoD with C.F or Falco)
i main fox but im gay for C.F. and i suk with Samus but she could be my favorite character to play as

as a side note my friend kyle and I spent like 3 hours coming up with a list and description of player stats for smashers including % of aerials L canceled and average damage per combo/consecutive hit etc...
