Update:

To go back to previous places, you have to switch disks, like in Legend of Dragoon.

Personally for me, That wouldn't be a problem, since I still love LoD. The switching disks didn't hurt it at all. It's kind of nostalgic of the old PS1 days... :|. I miss those days xD

Of course, it could be avoided by having a 4th disc for maps, maybe. But the game has been set and ready for release, and I am not waiting for another month for extras.

Other than that, about 3 more days, people!

Man I want SOIV bad, especially since I've seen and played SOIII. I might get this imported, it just might be my next RPG.

Less than a day 'till initial release!

Actually, it says that it's being shipped/released on the 23, so stores will have it on the 24th!

So make that less than 2 days 'till release, lol.

Spoiled my fun.

I'll be going to Game Crazy and picking up this game tomorrow.
They release games on the shipping date.

Lucky you ;_;

Well, there's a Game Crazy here too, but I already pre-ordered at Gamestop, sooo...

Guess I'll just wait it off, it's not like I'm able to play on weekdays, 'cause I usually can't.

But yeah, it's so close to release that it's not even funny, lol.

I was thinking about buying it at Target earlier, but they probably won't have it out yet.

I would've gone Gamestop, but I have work on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I wouldn't want to wait until Thursday to play SO4.

So... Does anyone else have the game yet?

I'll post my thoughts on the game. (I've already posted this on another forum)

The game's pretty good.

I'm surprised by the amount of cutscenes for a Star Ocean game.
I've been trying to do a lot of PAs. (No way I'm going to have a lonely ending like SO3.)
Field controls are weird. RT changes the analog movement to run or walk. You can't tilt it to walk either.

I'm on the 2nd planet with 4 party members now.
Battles are fun and difficult at the beginning, but I need to remember to stop playing this like a Tales game.

Crowe seems like Flynn in Vesperia.
I wonder if Crowe's a playable/recruitable character.

hey to people who have it: How does it compare to SO3 Till the End of Time?
Way better.

They ended up fixing the things that crippled SO3, in my opinon.
Battle system is similar. They removed aura, fury, mp kills, and two attack buttons.

SP is also used for a lot more stuff now too.
Overall, it's better.
Plus you'll like SO4 if you've played 1 and 2. Lots of references to those two games.

So I've been taking this game slow.
I'm at Roak right now and the story's pretty good.

All the remixed songs make it feel so nostalgic.

So? What does everyone think about SO4?
I still like SO2 more, but this game was pretty good.

The last planet was easy for me since I decided to do some synthing at En II with experience bonuses.

The game is good.

Post game is boring. Lol.

...****ing Wandering Dungeon. <_<

An interesting thing to note is that En II is actually Energy Nede ver. 2 or something. Psynards are present (bird thingies in SO2 you fly on), they LOOK like Nedians, and their previous land was "grazed by some great war".

OMFG! Lulz.

This game is too goodz, my favorite character is Sarah :3
There are people that like Sarah?

She's a good character in battle, but her personality and voice annoys me. The English version at least...
For some reason, I can picture her Japanese voice by Kikuko Inoue, but it's not.

Nah, I stuck with the original names. I can't bring myself to change them when they are just going to say their real names in cutscenes anyway.

I have to say this is quite a step up from Star Ocean 3. In fact in comparison to alot of what Square-Enix has been making lately. Though I am curious as to what The Last Remnant offers.

The Last Remnant is a very fun game provided you get around its learning curve and the way the game plays.

The game may frustrate you for leaving you in the dark in so many things, but once you figure it out (and adjust to the battle system), the game is fantastic.
