@Sahfarry not that im aware of, but brawl vault has soo many stages and most are now making PM so there no shortage of selection.

So im guessing theres no way to make the SSS code randomize all 72 stages correctly? Or am I missing something?

It's pretty great how the Expansion Pack also works for Project M v3.02, since I ever got it working I've been changing the stages and music as if there's no tomorrow. I also got the My Music working for all 78 stages (including Skyloft, simply replaced the value so that it loads a different song menu).
However, I'm having two questions about it, which one of them might be a bit off-topic.

My first question: Is there a way to prevent Random choosing any expansion stage??
Some friends of mine (and probably other people) don't want to use the Expansion Pack for example (for Wi-Fi), and since I often choose Random, of course it'll load some of these expansion stages (except custom01 until custom0D). And since they don't have the pack, the game softlocks on their side of course. I did have tried it out with another person on Wi-Fi sharing the same pack, and all the stages do work, even the Expansion stages. I don't want that Random chooses the Expansion stages to be sure. (And no, I don't even have the Random Expansion SSS code enabled, it still chooses these.)
My second question: Since I use a code where Expansion stages have song lists on the My Music menu, the game freezes once you go back to the title screen and reload the menu. First time loading it works perfectly fine, just reloading the menu freezes once going back to the title screen.
The code I use:
Code:
Tracklist Modifier (to prevent My Stuff from crashing)
0610F9BC 00000014
60000000 60000000
3C80811A 7C601B78

Sorry if the second question is off-topic, but it's related to the Expansion Pack, I want some help with it. :)

Is there a way to rearrange the order of the stages? I just upgraded from the 12 to 36 version, and since I just ported what I had originally, they are in the beginning. I had them ordered and placed in a certain way. Anyways, can I rearrange them with some sort of manager like there was one for the CSS? If not, is it possible by code? I wanna put my competitive stages on the first page, and fun ones on the second while also rearranging Project M's default order. :)

Anyone have an idea on how to get this working on an ISO?
Once you get Project M itself working on an ISO (I have a batch file for this, but I don't remember where it came from), the only other step is making sure the STGCUSTOM*.PAC and st_custom*.rel files get copied to the ISO too. Hopefully that helps.

I posted a new expansion template - this time with 16 stages. Check out the OP for details.

Feel free to steal my iso builder from my custom build thread in my siggy. That will work for the 12 stage expansion pack. If you're using a larger pack, edit the batch file and search for stgcustom, and copy the line and add the additional ones.

I use the 36 stages expansion and cBliss for the homebrew method, but I want to convert my entire build into an iso to play with a loader. Could you help me or tell me how to do this?
Since using the Iso Builder makes the additional stages freeze during the SSS when I select them.

You have to add lines to the iso builder calling to add the stages.

Sorry for reviving a dead post, but it seems to be that on my custom build made with the 12 stage expansion, custom stages are enabled. i always load up hackless and i don't want to be crashing when i go over to page 2 and try to return to page 1. what was the gecko code to disable custom stages like normal project m? I haven't crashed yet though since i am using dolphin and it isn't reading my smash stack stage.
And sorry for looking like a n00b, but i joined today to post a reply about my issue.
EDIT: Fixed it. originally on my dolphin file i didn't delete custom stages. so if you get my problem, try deleting the stages.

Using the 12 stage version here. I have an issue where the game freezes on the My Music menu, is there a way to circumvent that?

I really like the inclusion of the 16 stage template, also what are your plans now that 3.5 is out?

Awesome!

Minor suggestion though, you might want to change this thread's header to say "template for PM 3.5", since it is now updated.

I replaced 11 stages of the 36 and it freezes whenever I press start on the character select screen. Any idea what I did wrong? Also how do I make it less than 36 custom stages oh and what was I supposed to decrease the image size to

Are only the 36 stage variations out for 3.5 yet? I want the 16 and I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Or alternatively is there any way I could just remove unused icons from the SSS?

On it he says you can use a code to use 6 or 8 per page but I have no idea how to use them z.z.

On my stage builder it looks like I have gone over the common 5 file number 1387530/1214283. Is that why my game is crashing?

Yes, you have gone over the file limit on your sd card. Which is a problem.

To fix this, lower the quality of your stage icons and stage pic, they really dont need to be high quality at all to look good. I have the 78 stage build so every little bit u save helps :p

Get under the limit (1214283) and ull be fine.

Thanks, that fixed it. I'm still unsure how to use the 16 and 12 stage versions though. I would be fine with the 78 stage build but I can't find any other good competetive stages besides Theytah's and Xerom x.x

Is it possible that you can release a version that has the 12, 16 and 36 stage versions in separate folders?

@Iggly, yah its tough to find competitive stages. Especially 78 of them.

However thats what I have done with my build, which I will be releasing after I fully port it over to 3.5 and clean it up some.

Most of the time, youll be getting recolors of popular and competitive stages. (yoshis story, battlefield, dreamland)

Finally something that allows a lot more stages to be competitive, learn how to fix stage collisions, as well as Blast zone boundaries. I have done this many times, and you can quickly turn a cool but waaay too big stage into something thats perfectly competitive. Also the stage collision work is great for smoothing out edges and what not, to avoid getting pineappled, fix weird stage angles, etc.

Sorry to bump, but what do I need to delete/change in the codes txt file to activate the 12 or 16-stage list? I've never used codes before and I don't want to crash anything.

I guess I didn't know how popular the 12- and 16-stage veresion were :) There's a GCT for each in the 7-zip file now; they're called 12.gct and 16.gct.
If anyone's curious, I had put all three Custom SSS codes in the .txt file, so I made the .gcts from the .txt using the (now very old) codemanager.exe. Sometime I might make a program of my own that does the same sort of thing. (I have GCT Editor but that's at a more abstract level, and it's really only useful if you want to change certain specific things in a GCT you don't have the TXT of.)

EDIT: There's also a code manager built into BrawlBox! But it doesn't recognize the asterisks for starting a line. I'll probably fix that.

I think I'll make a new version of the Classix Expansion Pack at some point too, but I can't promise anything soon.

Thank you so much for the hard work. I just have one question: is it possible to get the top half of the +12 layout to look like PM3.5's? Where it shows Kirby, the stage picture and Dreamland, I mean. I'm fine with some reduced quality on the image.
