Like, I dont have the whole speed vs quality sub preference, but dear god the 2 times I watched UGS i had to go read my english book shortly afterwards.

is it bad that i understand about 1/2 what they are saying so its not to bad its just the long talks where i get lost sometimes cus only know limited japanese ftl

plan on learning more japanese over the summer

until then i fail! :(

Im actually tryin to teach myself japanese. It's not really that bad. I just wish I could find a dictionary with japanese pronunciation online so that I can figure out if the i's and u's are silent in some words (i.e. aoi)

But it's really not that bad, you just gotta get used to some things.

I use this mostly to study and so far it's been real good. Makes sense. I can actually comprehend sentence structure and whatnot when I watch anime, and i've only been using this for about a week or so. (Now i'll be ****ed if I actually understand wtf they're saying, because japanese doesnt have stress, it has inflection. So it all sounds the same. XD)

I also have rosetta stone, but i dont think it's nearly as great as they advertise it to be. I think i know why, but if you really want to know AIM me about it.

nah i have a friend that i may date she's been to japan for 6 months and did that hole japanese transfer thing lol

need to call her again and hang out she even plays smash lol

it had all this hype then it just blew a nut.

I just have one question:

Is this on the same level of awesome-ness as Code Geass and Death Note? Or is it "Bleach" good, or "Naruto" good?

xZero Beatx, I liked Soul Eater, but I don't think it was nearly as good as Code Geass or Death Note. Just my opinion though. Bleach and Naruto are all right, the pace is much too slow for me and it constantly has the protaganist getting beat down and coming up with something new that wipes the floor with the opponent. The ridiculousness of the jump in power is too unbelievable and it gets tiring and boring to see it happen so many times throughout the series. However, I'm saying that Bleach and Naruto are bad, because I did enjoy some parts of the manga and anime. I liked the Shikamaru, Gaara, and Deidara fights because they weren't just straight up fight they guy and beat him formula, it was different and not repetitive. In Bleach I liked Uryu because he seems like one of the characters who actually progress and learn new things constantly. Not only does his fights actually vary, but he still remains one of the strongest.

Excellent anime. I guess the ending was just a little anti-climactic.

Too thematic
what with the courage thing and everything. At least give us some twists and turns... it's as if the Demon God just gave up because she was brave. That's ********. Didn't Black Star already have courage?

Oh well, I cut the ending some slack because I absolutely love Maka as a character.

I'm on episode 13 right now and loving it so far. Definitely not Code Geass or Deathnote material though:).

i bet they make another season kind of like what FMA is doing and follow the manga more.

since the new season of FMA will follow the manga strictly u may see the same episodes as last time or a different way of telling

wish they told the story with SE manga setting (sexual jokes all day)

so who thinks soul eater is going to do what FMA is doing

(release a new series once manga has more episodes and/or ends)

i wish they do the ending of anime was meh but everything else was amazing about the anime.

quality of the animation was ridiculous

nice to see she's now considered as a real treat by Medusa (I'll miss loli Medusa)

it was obviously not medusa that killed JB , it would have been too predictable

yeah anime had such hype until like last episode then it failed.

people who are dead should or close to dead shouldn't get up and feel 90%+ :S

although the rest of it was **** amazing.

the manga>anime imo just so many more jokes and better story line

i'm not saying it was bad or anything i'm just saying the ending was little terrible.

i personally love the anime until last episode was really good but that end needs to be redone lol.

still wishing they do the same thing full metal alchemist is doing.

another season following the manga would be amazing.

(they should die or something in exchange for order)

but the manga is doing really well i can see it running for another 10-15 chapters before we see something close to and ending.

this anime/manga is on one of my list to buy and its pretty high up there.
