Okay...
So...
I'm at the final boss. And holy ****
Classic Eggman! He sounds weird using Eggman's voice lol
I love how Classic Tails goes "Dr. Robotnik!" and Classic Eggman's like "nobody calls me that anymore"
Anyways, how do you stay alive during the final boss? Rings don't come in at the right time >_>
I've only manged to get one hit out of the final boss, but then I die from lack of rings.
Hitting Y turns it into 2D mode (At least that's how I think I got in 2D mode). In 2D mode it's hard to miss the rings as they fly by. By the end of the fight, I had so many rings I could have just drawn the thing out and not die.

Also, when you hit him, he drops a lot of rings

Huh.
So switch to 2D mode and hold boost to win?
And yea, I know he drops rings when you hit him.
"IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S A HOMING MISSLE!
BE CAREFUL SONIC!"

That's all I hear.

I don't think he can actually hurt you, so just ignore tails' rambling on about Eggman's missiles

Just keep boosting forward and Shoot the other sonic in that missile thingy when it's close enough

You shoot the other Sonic towards his center?
I've always tried to boost to get close enough...
I can try your method, I guess.

Eyup I ignored pretty much all of his attacks.

He can hurt you though.I just dont think it does anything
It pushes you back, which means it takes MORE rings to reach him. I just had a large amount of rings so I didn't really care

Edit:

I could never reach him while JUST boosting, so I had to defeat him by shooting the other sonic

Edit Edt: I just found out Sonic's Adventure is available through Steam! I'm going to buy it and play it for the first time since Dreamcast was out!

If you mean Casino Night, I was supposed to before GameStop robbed me of my money and said they had no records of my Pre order even though I specifically remember reserving the game and made me pay full price anyways

Well, then the 3DS version should have been called "Sonic Generations: 1st Stage Edition." Casino Night gets to be a guest.

He's got a point. Is it the older of newer model, Cloud?
It's the older model of the 360. It didn't run into any issues today playing extensively and the times it did so are rare. XBox 360 Elite. Got it when I got Halo 3 in 2006. I've been meaning to upgrade, but I wanna make sure I get at least a decent amount of credit for my old one and can transfer my data over.

Though in some parts of the game the frame rate is REALLY really bad, not gonna lie. lol

Well it's because the first stages are always the good stages :urg:

Mushroom Hill is awesome and it's one of my favorites in the series
Besides Speed Highway, all the other levels suck
They already took city escape for the console version, so besides metal harbor and green forest, there's always radical city I guess.
Since we already got Seaside Hill and Ocean Palace, I'm going to imagine thats all we get
Every level but Crisis City sucked so I guess they couldn't come up with anything else
Besides Adabat, Chu Nan, and that Savhanna level, Apotos seems like a good choice
And Tropical Resort because after Planet Wisp and maybe Candy Mountain, I say that's the obvious choice

Well they could have done anything from the Sonic Advance series, I mean the OST even has remixes of the first zones for all three SA's

"Candy Mountain"?
Lol
It's "Sweet Mountain" :p

Anyway, finished every mission. Time to S-rank the stages now.

I hope they refunded some of your money. Oh wait, it's Gamestop, my bad.

As I said, try installing it to your HDD. Your 360 won't sound like an F16 taking off and the fans won't turn on often.

Every stage S-ranked.
Gonna S-rank the bosses, missions, and rival battles now.
For Classic City Escape, I went from 7th down to 9th and then I set a time that made me 8th.
Swag.
So Sonic Boom + Classic Sonic = good with anything

Amirite or amirite?

:phone:
It goes very well with the Metal Sonic battle.

I've only unlocked like, 4 songs so far. None of them are particularly good.

I want Sonic Boom and Open your heart

Dreamcast Era
Favorite Modern: City Escape, hands down
Least favorite Modern: Seaside Hill

Favorite Classic: Speed Highway
Least favorite Classic: Seaside Hill

Modern era

Least favorite Classic: Planet Wisp

I've heard nothing but bad things about the Planet Wisp level. I am not looking forward to it.
Well thing is, it's that it's ****ing hard. The enemies are unfair, they force upon you the ****ing rocket or spike wisp every 5 seconds, it takes forever to complete the level, etc. I mean, as Modern Sonic in the 2D segments, the bots throw pickaxes at you which is ****ing stupid because they're almost unavoidable and you need to pray that when you're homing on one of them, that they don't toss it to where it hurts you

Besides that the music and level are beautiful though

And I'm also starting to collect red coins for the levels as well now. So far I have completed:

Classic Green Hill Zone
Modern Green Hill Zone
Classic Sky Sanctuary
Classic Speed Highway
Classic City Escape
Modern City Escape
Classic Crisis City
Modern Rooftop Run

And holy **** I despise getting red coins in Modern City Escape and in Classic and Modern Chemical Plant Zones. They're ****ing annoying. The red coin near the beginning of M. City Escape was a major pain to get because I'd keep missing the coin on the boost panels, and it got to the point where I lost all 20 of my lives just restarting the level, and then spent maybe another 10 or 20 more from just dying everytime I'd nearly be out of lives. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I got the red coin. Then in M. Chemical Plant there's this red coin that makes me want to head desk because in the sky diving segment it's nearly impossible for me to get the ****ing coin because it's so tiny and because Sonic is apparently not a licensed sky diver since he can barely control himself there. In C. Chemical Plant I have one more, but first off I despise the level and second off I screwed myself up so hard in my first playthrough because I can't remember which rings I got and which ones I haven't gotten yet.

And my favorite levels are:

Genesis Era:

Favorite Modern: Sky Sanctuary Zone
Least Favorite: Chemical Plant Zone

Favorite Classic: Sky Sanctuary Zone
Least Favorite: Chemical Plant Zone/Green Hill Zone (I REALLY hate both of them the same)

Dreamcast Era:

Favorite Modern: City Escape
Least Favorite: Speed Highway

Favorite Classic: City Escape
Least Favorite: Seaside Hill (I ****ing hate the level design for it)

Modern Era:

Favorite Modern: Rooftop Run
Least Favorite: Planet Wisp

Favorite Classic: Crisis City
Least Favorite: Planet Wisp

And in terms all around my favorite and least favorites

1st place: Modern Rooftop Run
2nd place: Modern City Escape
3rd place: Modern Sky Sanctuary Zone

Worst: Planet Wisp, both versions, and Chemical Plant, both versions as well

EDIT:

Op has now been updated with newer screenshots and music

I don't look forward to doing those levels again.

If I ever get an S ranking, it'll be a miracle. I swear it took me half an hour

Next level I played after typing the previous I got Sonic Boom

Sky Sanctuary's classic zone was so hard for me to S-rank. Urgh. First time, I only got A because I didn't get there fast enough. At least I got the achievement for not falling before I went through that horrific endeavor.

Try playing the original versions of Green Hill and Chemical Plant at their respective stages.
Oh man, is it sweet.

Sky Sanctuary wasn't that hard. I got about 5 S Ranks while I was searching for all the red rings there

And the lack of a Super Peel Out and the feature to switch the characters around in their levels makes me disappoint
