before i hit reply, ididnt even remember what thread this was, nor, as i will subsequently prove, that it matters at all.

Wtf is wrong with the toronto scene. we're all friends. soooo ****ing trivial this bickering. I think i speak for everyone on saying the biweekly was tons of fun.

And further speaking on everyone's behalf, i believe, is that if toronto were to get their scene together we could really step up our game. Between all of us i don't think there would be any need to travel anymore.

Bigger picture people! why not constructively critique our FELLOW players instead of trashtalking who they are good with or what rank they are.

Its just a fun way to practice, then play/show off skill. So calm the **** down everyone, surriously.

i better start seeing this henceforth from this post; if i continue to see this negative attitude and scene i'll quit with an ease of mind.

If only we realized this sooner.

To Jake and Nate: I also knew that you guys would use that "remember who you're friends are thing" (that's why I never got involved in any arguements earlier, even when I knew when someone was right). Lemme put this straight; I don't hate anyone from the smash scene, and especially not as people, but the actions (like a corrupt PR where no one gets say for anything) that's a problem. I could never hate you guys either, but it seems like Jake had something against me for a while or something. ~ End

LIKE COME ON! there's so much bull**** going on in the community as rankings and arguements goes, where majority of people get favorited by panelists. Sorry to say, but it's fact.

I know that alot of people are going to be against me, but it's fact though. I know that alot of people are afraid to speak up about the truth sad to say, even for me, I kept it held back since the second bi-weekly or so. *sigh* oh well.

To be honest, I don't want to leave this post or keep people on a bad note, but I don't really have much to say.

i log onto the boards hoping to see shoutouts or something and instead it's just a load of bs about prs and lolz.

mike's right that the 4-way tie made no sense. a decision should be made, especially if the current list is really stale. jake had no right to be 1st with me, ryan, bernie even if he did have a bunch of 3rds and 4rths. we had a consensus amongst a great deal of the community but it wasn't expressed in the pr. because one or two panelists did not agree.

jake has a point that everyone had something going for them at the time.

adnan is correct that the pr is hard to update.

i'll be honest. smash is the first competitive community i've been a part of that has actually prevented a grand finals from being played out because of a ****ing argument. like, what the ****. i had no intention of splitting the prize pot because i wanted to win. i wanted to test my abilities. some of us actually still play this game to improve. mindblow. so naturally, i'm mifted because i got cheated a tournament set and about fifty bucks if i ***** jake again.

i'm annoyed. i think i have a right to be.

i go through a ***** of a time to host these. my sister *****ed to me for a solid half hour before the tourney with my dad. i have to clean, setup, clean after, help run ****, help people find their opponents/my house and escort people to the nearby restaurants. i have to work my *** to host this and, really, with the hours spent running it vs the amount i usually win, i average maybe $1.5 an hour. yay.

if anyone accuses me of doing this for money, they can get a job. getting $150 for 16-20 hours of work (there's work before the tournament the day before and setting up) is actually very little money per hour. and when i split, it's even less.

like, this **** is so discouraging.

Mike (predictably) took the 4 way tie thing way too seriously. Ryan had no right to be 1st either, but because I knew someone would get mad, I made a post saying that it would be a <3 update because everyone would get some love because if I had made a decision there would inevitably be some bull**** said. It was only a random idea I had. Instead of updating and putting a 4 way tie, which I wasn't going to do, I decided that I was going to postpone updating because it was too close to tell. And now apparently people think I did this so I could get another shot at beating people. It's sad how people think.

David, I thought the only reason you were splitting 45 / 45 was because you realized we'd do the same for you. If you want your 50, you can have it.

Edit: I never knew of this "consensus in the community", I had no idea of it.

Ok... so if you guys (nate, jake, and ryan) are done tearing each other apart I would like to stop this before it gets out of hand. The more that you guys go at each other the more it pulls our community apart... you guys need to set some ground rules... now before you say that I wasn't there or anything like that... I remember when Ryan lost his temper... that was uncalled for ryan and you know it. People aren't out to get anyone here... and nobody should be thinking otherwise... these tournaments were supposed to be fun and nobody should be getting at each others throats... and again before you say anything yes I have lost my temper before and I apologize for that... long days of work tend to stress people out... now... ryan... I'm not sure what your excuse was for the temper tantrum that you threw a while back and I don't know why we are bringing this up again.. but come on people... whats done is done and it can't be fixed... all you can do is try and prevent it later... so.. if this means that you guys need to take a break from these tourney's then so be it... because this is discouraging everyone... not only crew members, friends, but all the new people as well and I can guarantee that Davids dad does not appreciate that amount of garbage and crap that is left behind which is another one of my pet peeves, as well as Davids. As for the PR crap... mike is right in my opinion that the 4-way tie is just wrong... from what I've seen so far David should be first... I was not there for the end of the singles yesterday... but from what everyone has said to me and what I've seen on the boards... David won again yesterday. This makes it 3 consecutive wins... the next in line i think should be Bernard, then Ryan from what I've seen and heard... but if the PR is not being updated anymore than this part is of no use to anyone so don't worry about it I just like to put in my two cents about it... yes I understand that some people take the PR very seriously but thats no reason to rip each others throats out for saying anything... because it might not be just one person looking at it thoroughly... the PR for some is a way of deciding how good a community is... this works the same for all the others... (hooray for information everyone already knows) also... what David is saying about the money crap i can understand that people will eventually think that they are in it for the money... hell.. if I could win every time I would just play for the money... but thats just me... I compete because I try to have fun... I was eliminated VERY quickly yesterday... it annoyed me but i still had fun. What needs to be done about this in my opinion the PR should not be used anymore... this is tearing apart our community as I said before... so for the next biweekly... I'm hoping -.- that nobody will be at each others throats again... and one more thing is that the noise level still needs to be decrease and we just need to tell one another instead of yelling over each other... I realize that I do get a little loud every now and then and we all do but the other players do not always appreciate it (you know who you are + me) so yeah... and the garbage thing is still a problem as always...

I don't know what happened or why my messages or calls don't get through to you, but then I think about how does nate and daniel go to your house, or you go to theirs and I can get to you to try to chill or play smash or w/e. Obviously I'm gonna feel that you have something against me (you could be lying, never can be too sure), I dunno, but that's what it seems like.

Honestly, for this whole ME BEING DISRESPECTFUL thing, first of all, I got mad at only 2 tourneys, and The thrashing thing happened once. I broke a decoration and offered to buy it back, so yo can't pin that on me. I swore on my life that it wouldn't happen again, I apologized even to you in person, and I thought you accepted it, but I guess not, since I was forced not to enter the tourney. The Race card, Well, look at the other people that got mad and **** @ tourneys (not naming names), and nothing happened to them. I pulled the Race card because, I was told how some people were intimidated by me, ever before or if I didn't even do anything. Other people get mad too, but obviously they don't look like me, so they won't be intimidated. Also, I PUNCHED A WALL? since when? I know I kicked a box, and threw 2 littered half-full water bottles.

When it comes to the money thing, you seem to only split with people that you are more likely to lose to. Also, when you placed 4th, the first time when I got mad, you kept trying to make us split with YOU. The tourney you didn't let me enter, you kept trying to get them to give your money back. I know I said the money thing once, but have I said it lately?

The luck vs skill thing, you say shine spike is luck. When have I ever gottena shine spike on you? When you beat bernard with stitchface turnips, (1:300 ratio) you call that skill? + up throw -> rest is more skill than shine spikinga floaty character, and you call it luck?

Too much ****ing typing, this is why it would've been easier to do in person.

Jake, I don't split the pot too often these days (ask Bernie). That's why I was a bit hesitant to do it but when things got out of hand I felt that it would be easier to just split and call it a day. You can keep the money; it's not about the money, really, the money was a side note. My point was that it bothers me that we can have a grand finals planned and it will be stopped because the members of the community have a disagreement.

It also bothers me that the panelists are allowed to claim ignorance to the opinions of the community. You're supposed to be making the power rankings. Are you actually claiming that you and whoever else who felt hesitant to update were actually completely unaware of our opinion? If this is the case, something clearly needed to be done a long time ago.

Bernie, we do need to play. I felt smashed out last night, I really didn't feel like playing or doing anything remotely resembling something serious. The tournament, the arguments, the *****ing from my sister, my dad's discussion with me, everything just burned me out. No johns, though, we will play in the future. If not this week then on saturday... you are going, right?

Wait, so because you're an idiot and couldn't update based on what the results and community agreed upon, this is my fault? I don't follow.
Ryan won the 2nd most recent tournament prior to the update. I'm not sure you could have justified anyone but David in first with his record actually. Then, at worst there would have been a tie between Ryan and Bernard for 2nd, but you never had a problem being tied with Noah?

As a panelist you should pay attention to what the community or other panelists, if even only token ones, have to say. What you ultimately did was like a judge saying "I don't know what the jury thinks, so instead of trying to find out or get something done I'll see you guys in 2 weeks."

Just so you know, if you want to have some stupid court analogy, your community consensus and general agreement would only be considered what the court calls "hearsay", which doesn't amount to evidence. I don't go to David's house on random days, which is probably when you say all the trash talk you want about everyone.

Hearsay is the legal term that describes statements made outside of court or other judicial proceedings. With few exceptions, hearsay is not allowed as evidence in the United States.
