A pretty good list. Given the overall environment of the stage, the medley fit wonderfully. Pokéfloats makes sense considering it's a medley of battle themes, and Prism Tower is a gym. I quite like this selection of tracks, it touches upon all the aspects I feel work best with this stage: themes of cities, two Routes (and no more), and themes of important characters such as Sycamore and Looker, not to mention a couple of iconic themes of the series – that also work well with the stage. No real major complaints, though it would’ve been nice to get a track from a gen older than the ones you picked (not counting ones previously in Smash), and the choice of both cities as your two special tracks hinders the variety a tiny bit in my opinion.[/collapse]

I really like that you’ve given attention to tracks from the spin-offs, it’s nice to see them get some spotlight among the main series tracks, however, and usually I wouldn’t say this – but I think with three spin-off tracks, it might be a bit too heavy compared to the rest. If any, I would cut the PPC theme, as I feel it is the weakest of the three, and Pokémon Trozei adequately represents Pokémon puzzle games imo. Other than that, I also am fond of the tracks chosen for the medley, I think it represents the feel of the city, and therefore the stage very well.

That said, I think the battles themes you chosen would all be better fits on the Wii U stage, and instead maybe some music based on locations, or at least a gym battle, would be more suitable for Prism Tower.[/collapse]

I also like seeing a Route having a spot in your selection, as they make up a large part of the game but often don’t receive much attention musically.

I do believe the choices are a little heavy-handed towards X/Y, and there aren’t too many big tracks among the selection (at least not new “big” tracks). In addition, I wasn’t so thrilled with highlighting the Pokémon TV theme, in part due to the absence of the Japanese theme, which would likely get more attention when considering the fact that it’s Pokémon in a Japanese made game.[/collapse]

I believe where the tracks selected take their biggest hit is on the abundance of… rather random returning songs from Brawl. The Pokémon Stadium theme is one thing, but the R/S battle music and Route 209 seem a bit out of place to me, and their presence on the list in my opinion takes away from spots that could’ve been filled with music new to the Smash series.

Interesting oddball choice with the Typing Adventure song. Intense sounding and fitting for the stage, even though it's not a well-known song, not it's popular.

Pretty good and varied choices here. The fact you have songs from old and new games is a plus.
The classic city theme from Red/Blue, Castelia City and Lumiose City are excellent picks for the stage, fitting it well. Super Training, Poké Floats and Team Plasma Battle balance things out with some intense sounding themes.
The Gym theme is another excellent choice, given how Prism Tower itself is a Gym. Lastly, the ending theme medley is a creative idea and at the same time contains nostalgic songs that also fit the adventurous theme of the series this stage comes from.

Game Corner is a cool choice, but this list is kind of lacking in battle themes. Sky Tower, Route 8 and Pokémon Stadium fit the stage nicely too.
I think the Boutique theme could be easily replaced by a more intense sounding song and I don't really like the idea of having anime themes on the stage, though I won't deny its popularity... Another problem with that anime theme is how it's not from the Japanese anime, which is what would be considered for the game in the first place.
Not a bad list, but I think it could have been better.

Wow. Did not expect to win this one. It's a good feeling to claim victory this round, though. I've been playing Pokémon for 16 years, and it means a lot to me. The music especially has stuck with me indelibly.

Really didn't see myself winning with the lack of the Main Theme, but I'm glad I did. I didn't find it necessary at all, especially since we'll probably be getting some version of it on Kalos League anyway. I really do love the Plasma battle theme. Some bias went into choosing it, but to be fair, if I didn't think it fit, I wouldn't have included it. I see the argument for it being on Kalos League, but I wanted some more intense tracks for this stage, and I found the rock/electronic fusion of the Plasma theme as more suited to a large metropolitan city + high-tech building than a seemingly ancient, castle-like room full of stained glass.

Hmm,...if I win too often, maybe it's best I sit the next round out. Picking Palutena's Temple or Wily's Castle will ensure that.

Says here (http://tcrf.net/Super_Smash_Bros_Brawl#Missing_Music) that You Can Do Anything was meant to be in the game, but got cut. That song has some strange licensing issues, I think it's because the guy who performed it has passed away and his estate won't let his vocals be used anymore. Hence why it's instrumental in Sonic CD HD.

It's interesting to see what songs didn't quite make it.

I just forgot to put my silly or troll face on the post. I'm also counting on the fact that they're highly requested and would cause an obscene amount of entries to put it off for the end of the competition. Regardless, I firmly believe that they'll not show up for a long while.

If that was the case, Mario Galaxy would've been saved for last, because of the obscene popularity of SMG's music, I mean, I get it, that whole 'third-parties don't belong in Smash even though they've had more importance to Nintendo than franchises like F-Zero or Starfox' thing. but I still think Wily's Castle should be done soon, I mean, Megaman got on Smash because of fan demand, so it'd make sense to do Wily's Castle because of fan demand. I mainly don't want to do Boxing Ring because we'll apparently be limited to Punch-Out music and music from unrepresented franchises, unless Sakurai reveals a third version of the stage (Dedede Castle version).

I'm not blaming you, I love AC, but City Folk's music kinda sucks a big one compared to New Leaf's, all I want is to hear a full version of that Ska remix of Kappn's song we heard on the Direct.

Palutena's Temple would be nice too, although I'd prefer that stage to be like the FD version, but with some hazards, instead of being a gigantic abomination.
