Fair enough, but it would make it a little bit easier to get ready for each match. Either way if you attempt to add someone over the internet and they don't add you back, they cannot interact with you at all. So it's really non intrusive and nearly pointless information to have if adding isn't mutually reciprocated.

Something like Skype info I could understand reluctance with since people often use their real names for it.

Yeah I got mine within my name on the bracket currently, which was easier for the last tournament I participated in, so you just add your code after your name and when it's time to register, you hover over your opponents name and bam you got their Friend Code.

I'll add you now and log in later. I'm definitely up for some smash! Tournament or not. Our connection should be pretty good considering we're a bit closer to each other than the guys in the states. Ironically though I consistently have good connections with dudes in New Jersey, which makes no sense!
