No competition that could replace him, no real reason to get rid of him. Doesn't represent a series as such, but is an important part of Nintendo's history. A safe bet, but there's always a chance a character like this could be cut.
Want: 50% I'm indifferent to him really.
Ganondorf: 98%. I have faith that people don't think he's going to be replaced by a Skyward Sword villain. He's one of the three most important characters in Zelda, which is a huge selling series.

Sakurai is already reluctant to cut characters, and I have a feeling retro characters are a bit more of a personal pick than most others. Really, when you can claim to help save the entire Western Hemisphere's videogame market, it's kind of hard to argue why you shouldn't be in.

Despite people not neccecarly wanting him for Brawl, me included, I think most would still be Sad to see our Robotic Opperarion Buddy removed. He'd got a good moveset, is quite unique, nicely balanced as a higher mid tier in Brawl... I see no reasons to cut him now. Brawl made me love him. I'd rather get rid of the Ice Cimbers, Sheik or Lucario if I'd had to cut an original character. S yeah, R.O.B is cool with me.

He was a favorite of mine in MKDS, and his concept as an accessory for the NES just sounds awesome (even if he works with a grand total of two games). If, for some odd reason, he was scrapped, it wouldn't ruin SSB4 for me, but it would put a damper on things.

Finally missed a round thanks to being unable to reach a computer since Friday and Groose keeping new rounds timely. Bit disappointing, but I'm happy everyone is running smoothly and it seems everyone was pretty unified in Geno being a longshot anyway.

As far as all-stars for Nintendo go he isn't really the most popular or visible, but there can be no doubt he deserves to stand with Mario and Link and the rest. Would take an extraordinary, unpredictable, downright illogical change of the entire roster for him to have even a chance of being cut.

Little public service announcement: I'm sorry about how bad the music section has been the last two days. Geno and R.O.B. are characters who just don't have much music attributed to them. Or maybe they do, and I'm just missing it. I've never played any of their games, so it's hard for me to judge. If you have any suggestions, I'll be glad to take them.
Fortunately, tomorrow is a character who I know well. I'm confident that I can make an excellent music selection for one Ganondorf Dragmire.

I try to update consistently; so far, my only major delays were the Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses concert and two minor surgeries.
Fortunately, tomorrow is a character who I know well. I'm confident that I can make an excellent music selection for one Ganondorf Dragmire.

He's probably one of the lowest priority characters. That means that there's a chance he'll get eaten by time constraints. He's probably a lock, though.

R.O.B. was a great surprise on the Brawl roster for me. I enjoyed playing as him, as well; he was always one of the more unique members of the cast. Granted, I'm fine by cuts if it means we get more balanced gameplay and more fresh blood, but R.O.B. is definitely a cool customer.

He's probably one of the lowest priority characters. That means that there's a chance he'll get eaten by time constraints. He's probably a lock, though.

R.O.B. was a great surprise on the Brawl roster for me. I enjoyed playing as him, as well; he was always one of the more unique members of the cast. Granted, I'm fine by cuts if it means we get more balanced gameplay and more fresh blood, but R.O.B. is definitely a cool customer.

I see two main counterpoints people will use tomorrow: A) He's just a Falcon Clone and B) Demise. Fortunately, these points can be easily refuted.

Do I really NEED to explain? Ganondorf is one of Nintendo's most popular villains and is loved by many Nintendo fans alike. While he wasn't in Skyward Sword, this doesn't hurt his chances in my eyes as he is incredibly important and crucial to the Zelda series. People think that Demise will replace him since he is the recent villain, but I don't find that to be the case as Olimar made it in SSB4 and he wasn't the main protagonist in Pikmin 3. However, he could have some moves inspired by the climatic battle against Demise as Ganondorf is an incarnation of him. Overall, I find him to be extremely safe.

Ganondorf is the King of Evil. He is my favorite villain of all-time and I would be incredibly upset and disappointed if he wasn't in SSB4. However, the poor man needs his sword and his own moves!

Decloning is a slow process, you don't want to suddenly change everything about a character, or else those who played him in the last game will get prissy. Ultimately changing a move or two here and there is the best way to go, and I think an energy tennis ball for neutral-B is one move to change now he got a bit of personality in brawl. He's not having a full change, but I do see him having more change than brawl, and he can't have that change if he's not in the game.

Ganondorf needs to be proved to the fans, and he needs to change for Sakurai to get the respect he deserves. That and he's the most recognisable villain from LoZ short of Pig Ganon. That said, Pig Ganon would be a far greater Final Smash than animal beam from the last game, so perhaps both will get in.
