I don't see Mother getting a new rep; however, he's the most logical choice. I do have one concern, though: would Sakurai actually convert a former boss? Or would he deem Porky too... evil... too unfitting? There is still room for him to fall to another Mother character.

OK, yeah. Despite never playing a Mother game, this guy looks like a real class act. He'd have a unique playstyle, he's villainous and brimming with personality, and he stands apart from Ness and Lucas. The only reason I'm not giving him a higher score is that I don't want the game taken over by Mother characters when there are many other deserving series out there.

Likelihood: 8% - I'm not even sure Legend of Zelda will get a new rep, and I feel like this guy would be pretty unlikely anyway based on what I've seen.
Want: 30% - Kind of indifferent. I've never played any LoZ games, but I'm usually intrigued by the quirky characters it has. Skull Kid looks like he could be a fun and unique character if he was in. I can't really say I'd complain if he made it in, but I'd prefer Ghirahim as a new Zelda rep.

How could I not add the Song of Healing to the music section? I actually listen to it every night before I go to bed, and have done so for a LONG time.

It's actually there in three versions: Original, Theophany Reorchestration, and Adrisaurus Vocal Mix. The original is the most powerful, but the other two are definitely amazing.

The first item on the music list today is a full album of Majora's Mask reorchestrated music by Theophany. I suggest any fan of Zelda (especially MM) music who hasn't heard it already give it a listen: it's quite amazing. He also has it up on iTunes for the minimum possible price and I believe on Mediafire for a free download, so it's easy to get ahold of if you like it. I'm waiting for the second disc in the album, which is coming later this year.

likeliness - 20%. im orolly being really generous with this score as well. skull kid's massive burst in popularity mostly came from the possibility of an mm remake and now thats not happening it just kind of died. depending on when the roster was finalised he could well have been included, but his drop in popularity would probably result in him being incredibly low-priirity, if not scrapped altogether.
want - 100%. mm is by far my favourite zelda title

Skull Kid's Chances: I would say about <5%. Majora's Mask is definitely one of the black sheep of the Zelda franchise, and I cannot say that Skull Kid is a must have for Smash Bros.

Want: 50% I think it would be cool, especially if his final smash brought down the moon, but I think Masked Link could represent Majora's Mask better.

Zelda is such a difficult franchise to predict because it's spread all over. Nintendo has been giving attention to Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Link to the Past within recent months, we know there's a Skyward Sword stage and an Ocarina of Time one and a Spirit Tracks one ... I mean, damn, that's a lot of Zelda love right there.
But that in itself is what makes me doubt we'll get a character from just one Zelda game, and while people say "well, Skull Kid has been in more than one Zelda game, etc etc," we have to be honest with the fact that what makes the character stand out from iconic to plain desirable as a playable character is his story from Majora's Mask. His other roles are almost negligible, particularly when it comes to making a moveset.
And at that point I ask ... why not Vaati? Impa? Tingle? Tetra? All of them have had a major presence in more than one game.
Along with this there's the fact that really, for Zelda the main necessity is the triforce. Any other character beyond those three is extra, so if we do get an extra it might as well be someone more recurrent and significant in the series.

I like the idea of masks being used, but I just don't want Skull Kid. You know what'd be optimal? Have him as an assist trophy. Once he comes out, the music of the stage stops and the sound and screen go dim, then you hear his creepy laugh and a different background music as he floats above everyone and brings the moon down.
To me, that's the perfect way to include this character. Even if all the kids who wind up playing the game start crying whenever this happens.

I know I put the chances fairly high, and it's not because I obviously want this character in. The reason why is because I don't think LoZ will put in characters that they won't use again.

I know Ghirahim is a very popular choice, but it is HIGHLY improbable that we will see him again.

The ONLY reason I put Skull Kid with such a high likelihood is because he showed up in Twilight Princess. If he had not, I would give him a 5%. Since he has proven to be a character that can appear in different time periods, like Link, Zelda, Impa, and Ganan, he has potential to be in other video games as well, like the upcoming LoZ for Wii U.

If they plan to use him in the future, and that's very probable (though to what degree I have no idea), I think they'll putt him in SSB4. Also, it would be easy to develop a unique moveset for him, something that I'm sure developers are looking for when they're looking at trying to make 50+ characters.

But hey, that's just my $0.02.

Chance - 0.1% - The only reason it's not a zero is that he has had such a fan base for so long... that's slowly dying... and has excepted him to do so poorly for a while... for a character that never really had a chance to begin with... how did he manage to be so wanted again?

Want - 17% - Like I said with Vatti, I would prefer expanding the Toon universe of Zelda. Even then, in the "Realistic" Zeldas, he is badly beat out by several others. As far as I'm concerned, adding him would be wasting a slot.

His chances have met with a terrible fate, haven't they? Skull Kid's popularity comes mostly from Majora's Mask and he has appeared in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. While he has been in those games, they don't help his chances significantly. Skull Kid has popularity and demand, but the Zelda series is fine with just Link, Zelda/Sheik, and Ganondorf in my opinion. If we do get a fourth Zelda character, it will most likely not be Skull Kid. I just can't see him in the game at all.

I just want to clarify that I love Majora's Mask and I think that it's better than Ocarina of Time in my opinion. Skull Kid was a pretty good villain in that game! However, just because I love Majora's Mask and finding Skull Kid to be a good villain doesn't mean that I want to see it in SSB4. I rather have Ghirahim (who I doubt will be on the roster) or just stay with the main Triforce trio. Anyone else I'm either indifferent on or don't want.
