This game is currently on a hiatus. Reopening when we'll get some news on February or during the last weeks before the game's release in Japan on Wii U!

Pokkén Tournament has been announced to officially release on Wii U after being released for Japanese arcades, and we can be sure to get more playable Pokémon than those who were shown.

Each day we will be discussing one (sometimes two) Pokémon or concepts for Pokkén Tournament; rate each of them in chances in a 0-100% scale, and you can rate them in a 0-100% scale in how much you want them as well. Don't hesitate to explain your rating choices! Also, don't forget to nominate more things to rate (up to five nominations you may split as you want) and what's at the top of the nomination list will be set to be rated soon. Also try each day to predict what chances score tomorrow's rated Pokémon or concept will get; the one who gives the closest prediction will get five extra nominations.

For a ist of confirmed playabe Pokémon, you may visit: Pokkén Tournament on Bulbapedia
Also has the list of confimed support Pokémon (and thus most likely deconfirmed for playable role).

Important thing to note: considering I'm European, days will end around 8:00 PM CEST (or 1:00 PM DST).

Mewtwo
Chance: 80% (He's probably the most popular and iconic legendary)
Want: 100%

Greninja
Chance: 70% (Pokken doesn't have Gen 6 Pokemon yet, and he is most popular Gen 6 Pokemon)
Want: 100%

Jigglypuff
Chance: 30% (We won't be getting many Gen 1 Pokemon anymore (as the game has limited slots and Gen 1 already has 4), Mewtwo is more popular and iconic, and I'm not sure would Jigglypuff work in Pokken)
Want: 60%

Nominations: Torterra, Scizor, Seviper, Garchomp, Darkrai

Greninja chances: 70%
A popular gen 6 Pokémon who is playable in Super Smash Bros. and happens to be perfectly suited for a game like this design-wise. Froagadier being an assist may hurt it, but not by much.

Greninja want: 80%
I want to see those water swords from SSB4 in an action Pokémon game.

-----

Jigglypuff chances: 40%
Jigglypuff is a Super Smash Bros. staple which is definitely a big deal, but I have some doubt for Pokkén. The characteristics given to Jigglypuff in SSB work wonderfully on a 2D platform-fighter hybrid, but most likely couldn't translate well to Pokkén without some adaptation liberties.

Jigglypuff want: 60%
The playable Smash Pokémon I care the least about being playable in Pokkén, but at the same time I guess it'd be cool to see how the Balloon aspect would translate in this game.

-----

Mewtwo chances: 92%
A super popular legendary Pokémon who appears in Super Smash Bros. and with a body type perfectly adapted for a fighting game like this.

Mewtwo want: 100%
I don't want to see the salt from Mewtwo's absence in the SSB4 initial roster coming once again.

-----

Nominating: Farfetch'd x2; Magikarp; Abomasnow; Golurk; Xerneas
Edit: sacrificed Magikarp for one more nomination for Farfetch'd

Popular and recent water starter that could represent Kalos and the ninja motif.

Want: 100%
He clearly fits in the game.

Mewtwo
Chance: 90%
Highly popular Pokémon for both old and new fans. Plus, he just screams final boss material.

Want: 100%
Obviously.

Jigglypuff
Chance: 30%
I suppose she has Smash to help her chances.

Want: 0%
I'm not a fan of her and would prefer other 1st gen if possible.

Final Boss

Mewtwo and Greninja are just the right fitting for this game, and Jigglpuff.... she is very popular in Smash. That are her chances.
On the wanting department, Mewtwo is bae, it would just be cool to have a ninja-like Pokémon in the game, and Jigglypuff.... I never bought into her popularity in Smash.

For the nominations, I expect to see some Eeveelutions, and if there is any, I hope it is Umbreon. Medicham also would fit well in the game and.... I guess.. Dragonite, would be awesome....
Also, Hariyama and some Hitmo.... I would say Hitmochan if only one gets in.... because we still don't have a boxer, right?

I'm only allowing one nomination per Pokémon in order to incite people to vote for more different Pokémon, especially considering I doubt this thread will be as active as the Smash RTC thread. However, I have a feeling most of the Pokémon in the nomination list will only have one nomination, and that only a few will be lucky enough to get more than one. As such, here's a new rule: instead of giving five nominations distributed between five different Pokémon, you're also allowed to give two nominations to one of them at the cost of one other Pokémon to nominate. For example, say I want to nominate V, W, X, Y and Z. V is my priority, so I want to give it one more nomination; in order to do so, I sacrifice my single nomination to someone else like, say, W. My nominations end up to be like this: 2V, 1X, 1Y and 1Z.

As such, I'm going to change my nominations. @ Sir Gengar de Èctoplasma Sir Gengar de Èctoplasma @ Roaring Salsa Roaring Salsa @ Fire_Voyager Fire_Voyager @ Metallinatus Metallinatus don't hesitate to change your nominations like I mentioned if there's a specific Pokémon in your nomination list you want to see prioritized.

Can I just say thank you for making this thread? Seriously, I've wanted something like this for quite some time now, and to see it happen is honestly wonderful.
Mewtwo:

Chances: 70%
Probably the most Iconic Pokemon not in the game yet, is super popular and has a large chance of being the antagonist.
Want: 80%
Not having Mewtwo would feel like a crime against humanity.

Greninja:

Chances: 60%
Greninja's getting pushed into everything so I think it's highly likely he'll show up here too.
Want: 30%
He's cool I guess, but I'd much rather see Delphox or Chesnaught get some limelight.

Jigglypuff:

Chances: 40%
She is catchable in every main handheld Pokemon game, a feat not even Pikachu has, is popular, and very iconic. Unfortunately you can argue she doesn't necessarily "fit in" with the rest of the crowd bar Pikachu, so that has to lower her chances quite a bit. She also tends to get less attention from the devs as the years go by, so I'd say she's got a lot stacked against her despite having some obvious pros.

Want: 100%
She's my absolute favorite, why would I not want her? Also, increased relevance certainly would help out in showing that she is in fact important, so that would make me happy too I guess.

Nominations:
1x Clefairy

2x Breloom

1x Ampharos

1x Delphox

So a new RTC for Pokken? starting with the remaining Smash pokes...well let's get this show on the road...

:4mewtwo:Mewtwo
Chance: 95%
Want: 95%

Everybody wants him, everybody thinks he's a shoe in...He's the Wolf of Pokken...After Pikachu and Charizard Mewtwo is probably one of the most iconic Pokemon out there and if his DLC reveal was any indication, Mewtwo is definitely a hypeworthy pokemon...And I'm sure they do not want to miss the opportunity to showcase his Mega Y form either...

----

:4greninja:Greninja
Chance: 70%
Want: 90%

High chances and a popular pick...the K Rool of Pokken...Also no 6th gen pokes announced yet and he's a frontrunner methinks...along with Hawlucha and the other starters...

----

:4jigglypuff:Jigglypuff
Chance: 45%
Want: 50%

The....Snake of Pokken?...iunno...I'm fairly neutral to Jiggz, its involvement in Smash may or may not hold a bearing on its inclusion into Pokken...However outside of smash Jigglypuff is not really a very notable pokemon anymore...

----

Nominations:
:212: Scizor x2
:065: Alakazam x1
:076: Golem x1
Haxorus x1

I have little reason to doubt them adding Mewtwo into Pokkén - it makes as much sense as it being in Super Smash Bros. It HAS to be in the game.

Want: 100%
Who doesn't want more of Mewtwo?!

Greninja and Jigglypuff's chances: 68%
Greninja could make it, though I think it may be a tad late at this stage or they've yet to reveal it. Same could be said about Jigglypuff, though they might relegate it to being a Support Pokémon.

Want: 90%
I'd want all of the Smash Pokémon in Pokkén. And that includes Jigglypuff.

Nominations: Pichu X2 Meowth X3

Mewtwo

Chance: 90%

Being one of the most famous Pokemon out there, it wouldn't make sense for Mewtwo to not be included in the game. I'm sure we will see Mewtwo join the roster at some point, not to mention he'd be one of the more villainous Pokemon in Pokken Tournament.

Want: 80%

Mewtwo would definitely make a cool fighter, using various Psychic attacks like Gardevoir but to a more extreme length since he has a cruel heart.

Greninja

Chance: 85%

Greninja is the most popular Pokemon from generation 6, and we are yet to see a Kalos-based Pokemon in Pokken Tournament. That being said, I have a feeling Greninja will be the first Kalos Pokemon we'll see in that game.

Want: 100%

Greninja is one of my favorite Pokemon out there, so I would be very happy to see him go up against Pokemon like Machamp, Gardevoir, or Gengar.

Jigglypuff

Chance: 35%

Sure Jigglypuff has appeared in every Smash Bros game and is somewhat relevant again because it gained the Fairy typing, but when I look at Jigglypuff, she doesn't look like the kind of Pokemon fit for Pokken Tournament. I mean, Smash Bros works great for her because ball-shaped characters work well for that environment, but here... I just can't visualize Jigglypuff in Pokken Tournament as a fighter. Wigglytuff would definitely better to be honest, while I can see Jigglypuff appearing as a background Pokemon.

Want: 20%

My interest in Jigglypuff has been dwindling over the years (mainly because the main Jigglypuff from the anime has stopped appearing in the show), so she isn't a Pokemon I want to see as a fighter in Pokken Tournament.

Nominations:
Gallade: x2
Bisharp: x1
Swampert: x1
Meloetta: x1

Mewtwo's chances: 95%

Probably the most popular and iconic Pokémon not yet confirmed, and a really sensible choice for a main antagonist. It would be very shocking if it didn't get included.

Want: 100%

I'm not a huge fan of Mewtwo, but it really shouldn't be left out of this.

Greninja's chances: 75%

Willing to bet every generation will produce at least one playable character, and he's the most likely from Gen 6. Froagadier being an assist might not be a good thing, but I expect Greninja regardless.

Want: 100%

A cool Pokémon that would fit in perfectly.

Jigglypuff's chances: 50%

On one hand, she's definitely one of the most well known Pokémon there is. On the other, she might not work as well in something like Pokkén as she does in Smash.

Want: 100%

I quite like Jigglypuff, and having someone that might not necessarily fit in compared to the rest of the roster would actually be pretty interesting in my opinion.

Nominations:
Meowth x2
Hawlucha x1
Alakazam x1
Zoroark x1

I'm sorry but those nominations are not valid. Nominations rules are explained in the OP; I've made them work differently from the Smash RTC thread considering we will only have so much time before the game's release and to incite people to nominate more different Pokémon.

I see. In that case, I'll nominate Koffing X1, Hitmontop X2 Poliwrath X1 and Sylveon X1

Chance / Want:

Mewtwo - 75%/100% - The best choice for a legendary. Iconic, appropriately sized and regularly recurring in boss roles in the past.

Jigglypuff - 25%/25% - I don't want to say impossible as I'm aware she's very popular in Japan. However she doesn't have the big anime role anymore so I don't think she's as high priority as, say, in Smash. I don't feel her moveset would translate across as well, either.

Greninja - 50%/50% - Relevant and popular. Has a pre-evolution in as an assist already. I'm fairly indifferent.

Nominations: Garchomp, Hawlucha, Scizor, Feraligatr X2

Okay.

Mewtwo
Chance: 90%
Want: 100%

Popular, iconic, badass. What more do you want for a Pokemon fighting game?

Greninja

It's XY's most popular mon, sure, but in this case I'd prefer someone else get a shot.

Jigglypuff
Chance: 30%
Want: 10%

Yeah, no. Stick to Smash.

Nominate: Golurk x2, Darkrai, Delphox, Metagross

Jigglypuff chances: 42.54%

Today we will be rating Scizor, Hawlucha, Meowth, Golurk, and Breloom (thanks random.org for the tie breaker). Please rate them in chances and want. Also, seeing that all three Hitmon Pokémon had been nominated, I think it's be a missed opportunity if they weren't rated the same day; as such, they're saved for tomorrow, and will be rated alongside two more Pokémon to be determined later. As such, don't forget to nominate more Pokémon!

I'm going to rate and nominate later.

Mewtwo's got it pretty good, he's fairly popular, people like him, legendary, rather strong, and has two mega evolutions. I can't really say why he might not be in, unless they decide to go with Mew instead, seeing how Mewtwo has Smash.

Want: 70%
I like Mewtwo, he's OK, and I'd like to see what they do with his X mega evolution. That said, I don't need to see him in everything that has to do with Pokemon.

:4greninja:
Chance: 70%
Greninja is the most popular 6 Gen starter, and his ninja capabilities might translate well to Pokken, but I don't really see a reason to push him into the game. Isn't his pre-evolution an assist already as well?

Want: 45% - Eh, I'm not so impressed with Greninja in Smash. In the actual Pokemon games, he's exceptional, but Pokken is supposed to feel different from Pokemon's main games.

:039:
Chance: 60%
Well, her Smash popularity can translate over to Pokken I'm assuming. There's also her Japanese popularity, and being a quite popular Gen 1 Pokemon for quite some time. Jigglypuff would make an interesting joke character, as she was intended in the original Smash.

Want: 100%
What can I say, Jigglypuff is my favorite Pokemon, and it always makes me feel bad to see that she's getting the short end of the stick. She isn't in Pokemon Shuffle, to my knowledge, and I need to see her make more appearances to show her Pokemon Star Power!

Scizor
Chance: 50% (Probably the most likely Bug type to get in, although Scizor has to compete with Pinsir. The third major Bug-type competitor, Heracross, is a background character, which helps Scizor's chances)
Want: 80%

Hawlucha
Chance: 48% (He is a popular Pokemon among Pokemon fans and we don't have a Gen 6 Pokemon in Pokken yet, but there might not be many Pokemon left and we already have 2-3 Fighting types (Lucario, Machamp and maybe Blaziken) in Pokken)
Want: 70%

Meowth
Chance: 20% (Most of the playable Pokemon are fully evolved, with the exception of Pikachu, also he's playstyle might be too similar to Weavile)
Want: 90%

Golurk
Chance: 30% (We don't have a Gen 5 Pokemon in Pokken yet, but there are other potential choices for that)
Want: 20%

Breloom
Chance: 45% (One of the strongest contenders for Grass type in Pokken, but he still has a lot of competition)

Scizor

Chance: 70%
So far Gen 2 only has Suicune and could use more representation. Scizor is a fairly popular Pokémon that just seems to fit (I think Tyranitar might be a bit too big).

Want: 100%
Scizor is one of my favorite Pokémon so I hope he gets in. Swords Dance & Bullet Punch all day.

Hawlucha

Chance: 80%
I'll be surprised if he doesn't even get a cameo.

Want: 100%
A luchador bird? Why isn't he confirmed yet?

Meowth

Chance: 40%
He'd be higher if it weren't for Weavile.

Want: 100%
Iconic cat Pokémon.

Golurk

Chance: 15%
Even if Gen 5 still remains unrepresented, I feel they'll choose others like Zoroark.

Want: 30%
Not really interested to be honest.

Breloom

Chance: 35%
While he's one of the likeliest Grass types, he still faces tough competition.

Want: 30%
Same as Golurk.

Whew, thanks ShinyRegice! I'll get today's ratings done now so that I don't miss the day again.

Hawlucha
Chance: 70%
They don't have a reason really not to use Hawlucha, and honestly, Hawlucha is one of the most interesting fighting types we've seen in Pokemon yet. With his Flying Press move being both a Fighting and Flying move (well, containing both properties), his fighting style could be very interesting. Also, not sure if this helps or not, but... a main character on the show has a Hawlucha.

Want: 80%
I'd be interested to see what they his flying capabilities more than his fight capabilities actually, or, I should say, how he uses his flight versus fight.

Meowth
Chance: 40%
This is kinda a toss up. On one hand, he's popular on the show, so popular, that he and Pikachu are the only ones two stick around. On the other, I don't really know how people feel about him on a personal level.

Want: 80%
That said, I kinda want to see Meowth beat the electricity out of that little yellow mouse. I'd like for Meowth to win for once. His claws and other cat abilities would be a good fit for a cat character in Pokemon's fighting game.

Golurk
Chance: 45%
I'll admit that Golurk is an exceptional battler in the Pokemon games. Not only getting Iron Fist as an ability, but also No Guard, and let me tell ya, No Guard Rollout with Golurk, it's amazing. Of course, we'd probably see him with the Iron Fist ability, but other than his top notch battle skills, he's not exactly the most well known Pokemon out there.

Want: 80%
Golurk would be cool to see. I like Gengar, but I think Golurk would be better suited for a fighting game than Gengar. That said, having them both would be even better. It would also be interesting to see if they give him flight capabilities, as Golurk's been shown to fly before.

Breloom
Chance: 70%
Oh, there's definitely no reason that they can't include Breloom. Of course, the problem is picking so many Pokemon out of the +700 that exist. Breloom would also be our... first grass type in the game? Wait, Smash is missing a grass type character and so is Pokken? Why does Pokemon hate grass types so much?

Want: 90%
Poison Heal. Literally all I have to say to explain my want I think.

Scizor
Chance: 45%
Scizor is a fairly popular for a bug type in my opinion. I mean, when mentioning the bug type, it's not used competitively very often, unless you're Herracross, Pinsir, or Volcarona. With Herracross in a bad position for the game so far, I'd say Scizor's chances have boosted, but he's still got to compete with Pinsir I believe...

Want: 40%
Actually, bringing up Pinsir makes me think I'd kinda like to see Pinsir first before Scizor, then we can talk.

Scizor chances: 65%
One of the most popular and iconic bug-types, plus potentially unique playstyle thanks to a combination of punches and pincers, the later most likely not having any other viable candidate unless they're willing to make Crawdaunt or Kingler playable. (Edit: forgot Pinsir, except that its pincers are above its head, not on its hands)

Scizor want: 78%
A pincers-based fighting style seems interesting. Plus Bullet Punch sounds interesting in the context of an action fighting game.

-----

Hawlucha chances: 60%
One of the most requested gen VI Pokémon to be playable, especially thanks to a design that fits the game perfectly and a unique dual typing allowing for a unique fighting style.

Hawlucha want: 70%
Definitely a great fit for this game. There might be some overlap with Farfetch'd playstyle-wise who I prefer, but I think there's enough potential to make them different despite their similar air mobility potential and body type. I suppose a luchador will not fight the same as a Meta Knight-like air swordfighter.

-----

Meowth chances: 55%
A rather iconic Pokémon who I think it at least of the developers's radar, though playstyle may overlap with the likes of Weavile for example. I think it could go either way, but slightly gravitates towards happening.

Meowth want: 60%
Feels like a natural choice, even though I'm kinda worried about a potentially large number of scythe and claw users, but I'd be okay with this Pokémon.

-----

Golurk chances: 25%
Not exactly a super popular Pokémon, but one who is unique and memorable enough to be a contender.

Golurk want: 92%
Not exactly among my favourite Pokémon, but one of those who really feel like they need to be in Pokkén. Unique typing, and with this bulky design and those giant fists, here's the idea candidate for filling the "sluggish, ultra powerful" niche. Ground-type also gives ground punch-based moveset potential, and it can even turn into a rocket on top of that.

-----

Breloom chances: 48%
Arguably one of the most viable candidates for a Grass-type fighter, and pretty much the only viable candidate for mushroom spores attacks (I doubt Parasect and especially Amoonguss stand a chance).

Breloom want: 88%
A boxer with status spores? Yes please!

-----

Nominating: Farfetch'd; Abomasnow; Terrakion x2; Xerneas

Chance/Want:

Scizor: 50%/100% - Hands down my favourite bug type, and a popular Pokemon especially amongst competitive players. I would be surprised if any bug types except for perhaps Pinsir were to be more popular, and I think that a balance of types is something the designers will very likely try for. However I refuse to rate any Pokemon without a significant anime role much higher than this, as I feel that contributes a lot to their popularity.

Hawlucha: 40%/100% - Again, an extremely cool Pokemon a lot of people love. Pretty much everything I said about Scizor applies here, but with a lower chance as we have more Fighting types, and stiff competition from Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee.

Meowth: 75%/0% - Meowth has significant roles in the anime, very little type competition and would be an interesting choice as he's very much not one of the brawlers most of us are suggesting. This said, none of this will change the fact I don't care for him at all.

Golurk: 30%/60% - An interesting choice I wouldn't mind seeing, but not one I have ever perceived to be as popular as the others.

Breloom: 30%/25% - I never got the impression he was popular outside of competitive circles, and think there is a good bit of competition from Venusaur and Abomasnow, both of whom also have Megas. On a personal level I'd much prefer someone like Tangrowth.

Chance: 80%

Popular in the anime. It's got relevancy and it's a fighting type. Perfect for Pokken.

Want: 90%

FRIGGING PAJARITO LUCHADOR

Meowth
Chance: 20%

I don't see what Meowth could bring to Pokken. Sure, it's got the anime, but it only uses gadgets there aside from the occasional attack. Meh.

Want: 30%

Not a fan.

Golurk
Chance: 50%

Golurk could easily be Pokken's Kuma or Hugo. That said, I think that the devs would choose other heavy Pokemon first before Golurk, sadly.

Want: 100%

YES.

Breloom
Chance: 70%

Another fighting type suited for Pokken. And it's a Grass type too.

Want: 70%

Wouldn't object.

Scizor
Chance: 40%
Scizor is a fairly popular for a bug type. That and it's got the arsenal to compete with it's fellow mons. And a Mega Evo.

Want: 80%

Sure.

Scizor

Chance: 90%

We are yet to see a true generation II Pokemon appear as a fighter in Pokken Tournament, and to me, I think he is one of the likely candidates for the first Johto-based Pokemon to gain this slot. He's a popular Pokemon from said generation and would be one of the best options for a Bug-type fighter, along with Genesect. He has the perfect design for this game too.

Want: 100%

He's definitely my favorite Pokemon from generation II, and I would be very happy to see him included.

Hawlucha

Chance: 70%

Hawlucha is one of the more popular and iconic Pokemon from generation 6, and he already has the perfect design to fit in with roster. We are yet to see a Kalos-based Pokemon in Pokken Tournament too, so I have a feeling he is one of the strongest candidates for the first generation 6 Pokemon to appear as a fighter in the game. However, 30% of me also thinks he could end up being an Assist Pokemon due to his small size; then again, Pikachu is a small Pokemon, and it made it into the roster, so that doesn't necessarily throw Hawlucha's chances out of the water.

Want: 75%

To me, he'd be a very interesting fighter. We don't have any sort of wrestling-based Pokemon in Pokken Tournament yet, and Hawlucha would fill that role perfectly.

Meowth

Chance: 75%

Being one of the most iconic Pokemon out there since its release (mostly thanks to the anime), Meowth would definitely be a considerable option for Pokken Tournament. In addition to fighting with scratching and biting, he'd also be unique in using Pay Day as one of his attacks. However, I once again experience a bad feeling that he might end up as an Assist Pokemon instead. Luckily, that's only 25% of me that thinks that, as just like Hawlucnha's situation, PIkachu's inclusion proves that some small Pokemon can get in depending on how popular and iconic they are.

Want: 40%

Unforunately, he isn't one of my most wanted Pokemon for Pokken Tournament, though I do think he could be rather unique thanks his use of Pay Day and the fact we don't have any Cat Pokemon in the game yet (aside from background cameos).

Golurk

Chance: 75%

Golurk isn't one of the most popular/iconic Generation V Pokemon out there, but I feel he would make a very unique addition to the game. I could see him being Pokken's equivalent to Marduk/Gigas from Tekken; they all have a huge, towering body structure and are very power-based fighters (and what they have in strength, they lack in speed). Golurk would fit that role very well, not to mention he is "super-attack" would be him turning into his "flying mode" and ramming into the opposing Pokemon for huge damage. We don't have a Ground-type Pokemon fighter in the game, and I think Golurk would be one of the stronger candidates to fit that role.

Want: 85%

The more I think about Golurk's potential in Pokken Tournament, the more I want to see him get in.

Breloom

Chance: 50%

He isn't one of the more recognizable/popular Pokemon in generation III from what I know; that in mind, he has competition with the likes of Blaziken, Absol, or Deoxys. However, he did appear in the fan-made, 2D Pokemon fighting game Type:Wild as a playable fighter, so that alone proves he is definitely capable of something.

Want: 60%

He'd a cool fighter now that I think about it. He could attack with some kicks here and there, then completely surprise his opponent with his quick punches. Sadly, he isn't one of my most wanted Pokemon for an inclusion into Pokken Tournament.

Scizor
Chance: 85%
Want: 100%

Now that Weavile's in, Scizor is easily my most wanted for Pokken! There are no bug types confirmed yet and Scizor is easily one of the most popular bug-types out there...Other candidates includes both :127: and :214: who would both be pretty frikkin awesome in their own right, all of which have powerful mega forms to boot! But Scizor is definitely a frontrunner for filling in a very bug-like moveset...If Scizor gets confirmed for Pokken, then my top two mains are already set in stone!

----

Hawlucha
Chance: 70%
Want: 85%

I'm not sure how many pokemon we are getting for this game, but if we get around 30-40 at least then Hawlucha could easily weasel it's way into the playable roster, probably the most requested Gen VI pokemon behind Greninja, and it's unique typing as well as it's Mexican Luchador-esque fighting style would fit right into the game!

----

Meowth
Chance: 50%
Want: 65%

Meowth is easily one of the most iconic pokemon out there, although it has tough luck getting into Smash, it may find a home in Pokken Tournament. However it would likely mirror Weavile in a way with speedy, claw-based attacks, minus the ice abilities...I could see this being 50/50 perhaps it may end up as an assist if it doesn't make the playable roster. I'm not really a fan of Meowth myself, but it'd be kinda cool if he got in, so that he'd get some recognition in a fighting game...

----

Golurk
Chance: 70%
Want: 80%

Golurk definitely fills a niche being a giant heavy brute, and has all sorts of tricky abilities being a ghost type. I expect to see some heavy punches and bashes with it's fists should he get nominated!

----

Breloom
Chance: 55%
Want: 80%

There aren't any grass types on the playable roster, we may see the likes of sceptile, or Chesnaught, but Breloom is another contender for a very leafy moveset, with perhaps some spore attacks to incapacitate it's opponents, and it would be cool to see it's fists actually extend the way they are supposed to...

Mind if I take a shot at this?

Scizor

Chance: 70%
With only a week and a half left to go and only nine characters revealed, it raises questions of how many the game actually has. The only glimpse we've had of the character select screen only has room for 14...and even though it was a demo and the CSS could easily be resized as needed, the fact that we know of such a low number of characters so close to release...is worrisome. Many of the 'mons we all hope to see make it might have much less of a chance than initially thought.

Luckily for Scizor fans, its chances are still going strong. There'll likely be some kind of Bug type in the game, and with Heracross already popping up in the background of a stage, the path is cleared for fellow fan favorite Scizor to jump in nigh-unopposed.

Want: 37.5%
I'm...not as impressed as most. I mean, a giant metal mantis with pincers on its arms is cool and all, but for some reason, I'm just not much of a fan.

Hawlucha

Chance: 80%
A surprise so far is the total lack of playable characters from Generations 5 or 6. I imagine that'll change before all is said and done, and Hawlucha may have the best chance of any of the Kalosmons. A flashy, over-the-top fighter who has won over the fans, this bird could bring a brand new fighting style and represent the Flying type without most of the issues usually present with trying to implement a fighter who stays airborne!

Want: 65%
And I admit, Hawlucha would be pretty damn awesome. Not the highest on my radar, but very compelling nonetheless.

Meowth

Chance: 35%
As we know, Pokkén isn't limited to fully evolved 'mons, and Meowth is rather iconic in its own way. However, a lot of what Meowth would have to offer wouldn't feel so unique now: claw attacks that pale in comparison to Weavile and nimbleness already present with Weavile and Pikachu. Non-elemental attacks and the occasional coin move wouldn't stand out all that much, and as such, something tells me Meowth is more likely to end up an assist 'mon.

Want: 20%
Maybe it's the fact that I'm not much a fan of Meowth. Maybe it's the fact that I'd rather have a whole lot of interesting elemental powers over something that lacks them. Maybe I just think that nearly half the roster we know of is already from Gen 1, they'd be better served looking at all the compelling options that exist in other generations.

Golurk

Chance: 40%
Gengar's already in...but that doesn't rule out a second Ghost-type, as we've seen now with Charizard and Blaziken both representing the Fire type in different ways. If we do get a second ghost, they'd likely want it to feel unique compared to the more shadowy, Special-oriented Gengar...and if so, the slow, powerful, and physically-oriented Golurk would be the perfect choice, and would also explain the lack of Gen 5 mons if it was waiting in the folds.

A few months ago, I'd have also said Trevenant had a chance for similar reasons...but with Trevenant showing up in the background of the mansion stage, Golurk doesn't have a lot of competition...other than Aegislash, anyway. The question now is if they want a second ghost, and how much they care about said second ghost standing out from the first.

Want: 75%
I'd actually put Golurk somewhere near my Top 5 right now. No worse than 6th or 7th, at least. I mean, come on! A giant, possessed ancient golem who can fly? How awesome is that?

Maybe its EX Mode could involve using Autotomize to make itself faster. Perhaps Heavy Slam as its limit break, flying way up into the sky before dive-bombing its helpless target?

Breloom

Chance: 37.5%
This one's a little harder to call. We've yet to see a Grass-type, which is weird, considering how significant it is as an element. As it stands, though, we're more likely to see a Grass starter get the nod, with Sceptile, Chesnaught, and Serperior seemingly the frontrunners. Beyond them, though, or even if one of them did make it, Breloom would be an interesting option. With unorthodox punches and kicks mixed with attacks based around seeds, powders, and mushroom spores, you can't say Breloom wouldn't be unique.

Will that uniqueness get noticed, though? That's harder to say.

Want: 85%
Okay, this one's definitely in my Top 5. I've always had a soft spot for the...mushroom...kangaroo...raptor...thing, and getting to play as one in a fighting game would be--wait for it--pretty freaking awesome. Might even unseat Suicune as my main. Heh.

Perhaps its limit break could involve using Spore to put its opponent to sleep, then unleashing an unstoppable Focus Punch?

@XenoBrawler610 @ Delzethin Delzethin unfortunately those nominations are not valid, nominations rules are featured in the OP so I'd advise you to chance your nominations in accordance to these rules if you want to see yours counted. Maybe I could change those rules in the upcoming days knowing that quite a considerable number of Pokémon had been nominated, but for now I'd rather stick with the current ones.

Besides XenoBrawler, who not rate the other Pokémon as well? (and yeah I'd love to rate Magikarp lol)

Ah, okay. I can tweak some things, then.

Go figure, the RTC mainstays are the ones thrown for a loop when the rules change a little for the spinoff. :smash:

All right, I made some adjustments.

I saw that Breloom was getting rated, so I had to give me say on that. :p I am indifferent to the other Pokemon.

Well, you can nominate only up to four different Pokémon if you're giving two nominations to one of them, which means you'll have to sacrifice one of the other Pokémon if you want to keep those two nominations to Magikarp.
