It's just not feasible to run a quality local with six events when you reach a certain level of attendance. People who call you out on bias just don't have experience TO'ing. Providing you have the attendance to support it, I'd suggest segregating weeklies and running multi game events at nationals. Let's you have tons of friendlies, keep on time, run amateur brackets and doubles.

Well, we have weeklies for all three, (one for PM/Sm4sh, another for Melee) but they are divided and weekend tournaments generally have a larger audience because more people are free.
I was constantly asked to run a weekend monthly, and I'm making a choice. PM has a national in a week and should get doubles over the other two this time, next time it'll be Sm4sh or Melee.
I just hate being pinned as a bad guy.
...I also hate when I'm asked to change things at tournaments I announce 3 weeks ago, only a day before the tourney.

Ah, okay, this makes sense. If you are transparent with your reasoning I would just ignore them, most smashers are pretty ignorant about this stuff, so don't take it to heart.

fox isn't that much better than the rest of the cast, lucky's just really good and now that there aren't jank things and things are closer to melee, melee players who are better overall than PM players are really going to have success
