When we're talking cosplay, we're talking specifically about something directly or indirectly related to the character right? Like galactia knight for meta knight or wii rob to match the virtual boy one. Just want to keep my expectations realistic. As much as I'd like to throw the miiverse trolls a bone with a goku costume (I'm pretty sure it falls under fair use as parody - super saiyan mario ftw), I'm not sure pmbr would approve.
How closely related does it need to be? Would captain falcon wearing a wire frame styled outfit be stretching it too much, for example?
Also, regarding your earlier a comment about a wanting for Sports costumes, I feel that the best PM can do is make interesting costumes that have reference within games. All of them are like that so far, and I like it that way. That's not to say I'm disregarding your opinion, I respect your interests, but I think it's doubtful that such an alt would appear on the Project. I would go on KC and see if you can request one from somebody. I assume a Tink with a Giants Jersey could be a pretty simple costume.

This. And that's why I'm not 100% concerned if my costume choices don't get in. If I want redskins toon link I'll go to brawl vault, if I want twilight sparkle ivysaur I'll go to brawl vault. If I want Goku I'll go to brawl vault (why yes I am the troll who shouts GOKU! in the middle of a smash bros discussion)

The costume is a disguise that Lucas wears to look like the Masked Man. It isn't an exact replica, but a brown version he used in Mother 3 to blend in. It's not a cosplay cause it comes into play in game.

Well, I wouldn't say it's not a cosplay - people really mistook him for Masked Man, after all. But it's a canon cosplay, so it is more legit than any others would be in any case.
Just gotta show off one of the awesome peach textures I was talking about earlier. It's easy to see why this is my goto green team skin. (And the fact that I can use peach well in pm/brawl+ makes it all the more worthwhile.

^ They should remove Mega Man and replace him with the Call of Duty soldier, hes sooo much cooler than megaman and his final smasjh could be the nuke PMBR pls.

The green is the same shade as PM's Oot Link, it's weird because it seems lighter compared to Brawl Link, but darker compared to Toon Link, I was going for a Majora's mask type thing, so Oot's green is what I went for.

It's just a recolor of Palutena's Bow, right? That's easy. If there's not one already on the vault, it'd be easy to do that in half an hour, tops for someone with experience in texture editing. If it's another model, then it's a bit tougher, but still easily possible.
That depends, I'm not familiar with Hypernova Kirby. If he has a hat or any other accessory, it's probably a no, because Kirby needs room on the model to have absorption characteristics.
But you'll never know until you bombard the PMBR and suffocate them with your never ending desires for skins. :D

Squirtle's recolors reference other Pokémon like Mew and Charmander, as well as a Koopa Troopa and a Ninja turtle. His recolors are my favorites in the game ^_^
Ivysaur's recolors represent the different seasons, as well as a few extra that just look vibrant and nice.
Charizard's recolors reference his Shiny form, Zubat and Salamence, and the rest just look vibrant and nice like with Ivysaur.
I have a feeling Shin's gonna beat me to this since I'm replying on mobile but whatever.
