For those talking about the Brawl times, I have two questions:

1. When did CoroCoro do this for Brawl?
2. Didn't it show Sheik, the last starting character, before she was announced on the site?

EDIT: Did a liitle snooPING AS usual, and found that CoroCoro did this on December of 2007.
Which answers question 2, since Sheik was on the DOJO!! on January 16, 2008.

So at the very least, we'll get all the starting characters in this CoroCoro. The reason why Brawl's was lackluster was because we already knew about all the starters aside from Sheik.
Though considering Sakurai hasn't been shy of revealing hidden characters this time around because they'll all be leaked eventually by early-birds, CoroCoro could actually mean "all" characters this time.

Money's more on starters though. So the likes of Wario, Meta Knight, Ice Climbers, etc.

EDIT 2: Forgot about Olimar, who was revealed January 9, 2008 on the DOJO!!.
So much for that theory.

Not necessarily. Ness could be starter, or neither. Sakurai could be messing with us and both Mother characters will be unlockable.

I also doubt it's the full roster. As others said, corocoro only revealed the starting roster for Brawl so it'll probably be the same. So many leaks so many duds.

Even if CoroCoro released the entire roster, would it matter? The game comes out in Japan in September so everything will be out by that time. It would've just come sooner. That being said, I doubt they would release the entire roster.

Just for further clarification here's what a friend of mine on another forum says about the kirby part and the text in the blue box to the upper left:

"Ok as I see it, at first, Lucina was supposed to be a "skin" for Marth
I think (but not sure) they canceled that, and made her a character instead

I know that Wolf was only revealed after Japanese release (though I think only like, a day later), and I believe Ness and Jigglypuff were both SUPPOSED to be revealed after Japanese release, but they were leaked beforehand in a screenshot.

I'm actually glad about that, because everyone won't set themselves up for disappointment and it still leaves time for more newcomer trailers to be shown off. I would like to know the whole roster, but I think it's smart to wait for any announcements they'll have instead of getting everything at once. They definitely have enough time now to show off all of the veterans and newcomers before release.

Color me unsurprised.

It was probably the fault of ambiguous wording by Corocoro, stating they were to show everything, but meant everything shown so far. So they amended their statement to make it less ambiguous.

Nevertheless, there may be some new information to glean from the issue. Such as further explanations of the newer Newcomers moves, some as of yet unknown Final Smashes and some aspects of revealed stages we don't know about yet.
