It was cool though. There were some big F ups (Late start, too much wasted time catering to Wong, DDD smashball incident, too few Tv's, No time limits in some fights, Not upholding the deodorant rule. Lol!), but overall it was ok. It was their 1st smash brawl tourney. it "should" only get better.

i'd just like to say.... i lost to mike g first round... one match was lost because of ***got *** time limit... no johns against mike though he deserved to beat me. On the other hand my loser's set lost against marty... one match was ALSO lost because of time and marty... being the ****ing coward he is wouldnt agree to change to 7 min time limit even though all day you were saying how it should have been a longer time limit... you are a fukcing piece of **** marty. Grats to wong and mike g though.... you guys beasted fo sho.

...coward? me? didn't you camp EVERYONE on EVERY match, including Mikey? while i agree that the rules should have been 7 minutes originally i don't think it was fair towards the people you camped out OR the people i camped out in previous matches if we were to add 2 minutes to our match just because you were left wanting. i got camped out by JWong's Diddy, but i didn't cry to him like an over-emotional woman. i just told him good match and we were cool. don't get mad just because you lost. if you were in my position, and you were many times during the tournament, you would camp to get the win, too. and, by the way, you did. if you say you didn't, i will easily call you for a liar. don't do this to yourself, bobby, i know you're better than to act like this...

Tong was camping against me with ivysaur and you camping against me with ddd. Get your facts straight. I never had another match come down to time limit other than that. I three or two stocked just about everyone else i played... except alpha and that ike... and none of those were decided by time. I was *****ing about time that entire tourney... not just when i played you. You are a coward who changed your position at the last minute because it gave you an advantage. i wanted an even playing field. go to hell

Got home at 4:30 AM ROFL.

@Shin - We didn't have enough setups. That is the honest to God truth. I know that several of us waited hours to get 1 round in at a time. I think most of us were under the assumption that there would be plenty of setups already, so it wasn't a concern to us. (Not to me anyways.) So when we arrived, and realized that the TV brought with us (Alpha's setup; kudos Alpha) would make TV number 4 we were kind of like "........-_-". More TV.s are a must. Yes I know a few more (2, the 3rd never got setup cause it had no sound) got hooked up toward the end, but that was when we had fairly few matches left. :/ I'm just suggesting that you should actually ask us to bring the setups, instead of making an offer that sounded as if you already had them lol. People will bring them, they always do.

I dunno if I'll do shoutouts or not lol, because there are a ton of you I'd like to say stuff. All in all, I had mad fun and it was awesome chillin with everyone. Best part was witnessing Alpha almost buying porn from them before that other dude got it XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

2) I was for 7/8 minute matches from the beginning. Ask anyone. I was (b)itching about it during the 4 hours I was waiting to play my first bracket match. Reminded me too much of the 1 minute time limit from those ******** gamestop tournaments.
3) I only LOST matches in brackets via timeout, against a metaknight, a Lucario, and I think 1 against Marty's DDD. I forget if it was still in Winner's bracket or Loser's semis. I won all the matches I did by taking out the opponent's stocks before the time ran out (even by a margin of 2 seconds in one match).
4) Just go to Waba and beat the penguins out of brackets if you're so upset. Please Don't be a (d)ick to ME on the basis that you got royally (f)ucked by someone playing the same character that I do. Our play styles are pretty (d)amned different. I only camp against characters who can't counter camp me to death, where I know camping will piss them off and elicit mistakes from them where there wouldn't be otherwise. (IE: Not characters with WDee killing projectiles.) I didn't win money either, but I didn't act like a (f)ucking child and throw down my controller when Marty beat me, I gave the man a handshake and a hug for a (campy) job well done. (S)hit happens, deal with it, learn from it, and move on.
5) Easy bracket was easy. Except for Marty. Twice. Speaking of which...


To Marty:
Grats on third! You certainly rocked my (s)hit in DDD dittos. But for the record, you can't beat Diddy by WDee camping him. You just can't.
He has way too much stage control, so you have to be aggressive and follow up all your hits, and ALWAYS (f)uck with him off the stage. If you let him breathe and give him a chance to come back, it's more opportunity for him to rock your (s)hit.

anyway i had a good *** time at final found. it was a new experience for me with everything going on with the other fighting games. i regret not entering in some of the other fighting games tho but i just would have lost money. maybe next year. met alot of good people. beat some good people, and lost to some good people. best match i had was against datman zamus. i think his is better than alphas. but im prolly saying that cuz alpha beat me tho lol. evans g&w is real nice too bad you lost to ikedizzle. o well.

General statement to all the campers:

You're playing to win I aint gonna complain about it. I nearly lost to that diddkong friend of bobby's (i think he was a friend of bobby's) because he never really approached once. Its smart, but dont sit there and then complain that you got timed out, because thats the risk you run with camping. Camping is a long term goal, and sometimes 5 minutes isnt long enough. That diddy player beat me match 1 because of a time out, and then I won soundly round 2, and then I won by time out round 3. But thats what happens when you just run back the entire time. Its a viable strategy with risks and rewards. You ran the risk, and you reaped both the punishments and rewards.

likewise dont downplay marty and desu's placings because they were camping. Text book example of scrub talk. I cant say anything about desu, but i'm fairly certain that whoever marty was playing he'd try to fight instead of camp, but the counter strategy to camping is to camp back. They start it and if you wanna win you gotta end it.

I will downplay desu's placing cause that sumbich lucky i wasnt there to show him whats up with the rob baby.

getting a time out or not is in no way a solid indication of camping. If you get a timeout it probably means there was some camping involved, but not getting a timeout doesnt mean the opposite, it means a lesser likelyhood. You could camp for a full 3 minutes and win in 3 minutes because your opponent couldnt adapt to the camping. That diddy kong player played mad defensive the entire time and we had 2 timeouts and 1 actual win. That 1 match was still boring and campy.

This tournament was prepared poorly, but ran excellently. Prepared poorly because of outside and internal factors. Not enough setups was a HUGE deal. There shouldve been 10 tv's at least. People walking in and out was a huge deal too, but thats more because brawl was in a separate room. The other tournaments were either prepared for or ran poorly as they had to run into day 2 and thus forced brawl in another room, and caused alot of delay's due to people in multiple tournaments. You couldve had people on deck further in advance but even then it could only do so much, and for someone like wong, having him wait for an entire set or 2 for the sake of assurance in a smooth tournament would be unreasonable for his other tournament schedules.

Aside from that the hosts were on top of things for the most part, and reacted to each minor mishap appropriately, mainly that smashball incidence. But also matches were being called constantly in an expedient manner, and they made great efforts to go and find those who werent there, instead of defaulting callously to a DQ. They did fine considering what they had to work with.

More TV's, have brawl together with all the other tournaments, and a 6 minute timer. 7 is preferable but perhaps a bit much, but 5 felt too restrictive.

Hey guys, this is JackG from FR, aka the pink Metaknight you pulled the Smashball against. I honestly don't see what all the drama was about, but I agree all this smashdrama is pretty lolz Great match at the tourny, though I feel pretty ****ed ******** for downB'ing off the ledge cause of your neutB. Regardless, very nice DDD and I look forward to meeting you in future tournaments. I think the smashball incident was hyped up a bit too much for neither of us making a big deal out of it, but oh well.

Also to the guys complaining about DDD camping, it's not hard to get around. just walk/dash and powershield as they come up, rinse and repeat. I hold nothing against DDD's who spam waddles because DDD is so slow in every other aspect. Much respect to you and the other DDD players who rep Dreamland!

EDIT: I really wanted to meet you up later to play casuals, but I had school today and I live about 12 hours away from atlanta, so I couldn't really manage to stay any later than I did.

Bobby... :/ - i loved the response to xif's comment. i'm liking the whole "blurring the line between prepubescence and maturity" concept. i guess in your mind that's striking ahead, but i'll tell you, it ACTUALLY sets you back as a human being. always the ridiculous case with you, "I'm cool with someone until i happen to lose a match to them." thinking of yourself as good is being confident, but thinking of yourself as perfect while underestimating others is foolhardy, and you need to know that if you plan to get through life at all. if it wasn't me that beat you, you would have been pissed off at any other individual who beat you, unless it was Chad or Mikey, although if it were Mikey, it might be accompanied with a john such as, "The TV was laggy.", which is a john you actually used that day. Mikey said he didn't notice such lag, but i doubt he will say anything about it just to avoid an idiotic confrontation with you. and, i suppose Chad is one of the people you feel is not beneath you, or you have some understanding with him, i don't know.


but now, to address your points about the matches you played, i feel i have my facts very straight. for starters, in your match against Tong, you tried to camp him with grenades to force him towards you, then ftilt him away and do it again, or use usmash to stop him from coming to close. if those didn't work, you would dash attack through him and throw grenades again. I told Tong to use Razor Leaf against your grenades to stop them, and it worked. you could have just stopped throwing grenades against Ivysaur, but instead of adapting to that, you continued to throw them and it almost cost you the match. Tong was simply countering your grenade camping with his own razor leaf camping.
you tried the same thing against me, but when i started catching your grenades and throwing them back at you, you were forced to come to me. i would read your dash attack, then pivot around and chain grab you. also, when i approached you, you always tried to ftilt me, so when i read the ftilt, i would dodge the second hit, then chain grab you again. simple strategies, but you fell for them, so that's all i needed to use. just suck it up, get better, and beat me next time. simple as that. maybe next time, you'll beat me, and i'll have to work on a way to beat you, who knows. you see, bobby, what you need to understand is that sometimes in life, things don't always work the way you want them to, or the way you think that they should. humans are supposed to specialize in adaptablility, but sometimes this proves false, of course. also, while you may be mad at me, desu has nothing to do with that, and attacking him is ridiculous and proves your already very blatant child-like behavior. just because YOU can't deal with dedede doesn't mean that others can't, and it doesn't disprove the credibility of his or my victories. i couldn't deal with JWong's diddy, and i told him his diddy surprised me. i surely didn't try to spit on him for outsmarting me as you're doing. i told him i simply needed practice against that strategy.


also, you claim that the two of us playing each other under a 5 minute ruling was somehow tilted in my favor. with the way you were playing the matchup, i was at an advantage because i was reading you, and knew what to do against snake, as i have played and beaten mike's snake on several occasions. you were playing that matchup completely wrong, and it backfired, but that's the only way you knew to play it, just like me against diddy. dedede is slow up close, so why would i fight you there? snake destroys dedede and most other characters in close quarters, so i had you come to me on my terms, and it worked. you could have changed your strategy and rushed me, and it would have put more pressure in me, but instead you chose to stick to your strategy and paid dearly for it. your own fault, and nothing to do with any other outside factor. plus, it would not have been fair to anyone else who had to play under 5 minutes to change the time to 7 minutes simply because you felt you had to have your way against me, which i pointed out to you before, but you don't seem to concerned about anyone or anything outside of yourself, so we'll move on from that.


you always play the drama queen in the community, blowing up constantly when you lose a match. it's never you, is it? i mean, you ARE bobby, so you can't possibly lose on your own accord. it HAS to be an outside factor. you always seem to try and intimidate and bully people with your attitude during tournaments, and unfortunately for you, it did not work on me. i'm sure there are several GA players that would agree with me, but i doubt any will back me, as most seem afraid of any type of conflict whatsoever, which is one thing i do respect about you; your ability to speak your mind. i like that in people, but in most cases, you do it to the point of being a jerkoff, and that's where all the respect is lost. your attitude is simply revolting, and i'm surprised datman and your other friends even tolerate that garbage. maybe you don't act this way towards them, i don't know, and i hope you don't, since they're supposed to be your friends.


so, in closing, lick your wounds, mend your bruised ego, and come correct next time you play me or anyone else. i was mad calm during Final Round, as i just wanted to beat you and move on with the tourney. but, if you EVER say anything like that to my face again, best believe, i WILL straight embarrass you in front of everyone. and that is NO idle threat. i don't tolerate a lot of disrespect, and i am usually very patient with people, but your attitude towards people make me want to vomit up my own organs at times.

I hate Dedede, plain and simple.
But I straight up LOST to Desu's 3D not only at Final Round, but at Momocon the day before as well..

I haven't mastered the matchup yet.
Its something that everyone can expect to experience- the lack of practice in character matchups and styles.

So saying that Desu's and Marty's placings were because they camped- is perhaps going a bit too far.

3D MAY INDEED be a character who's playstyle is based around throwing lots of W-dees and chainthrowing, but there are always ways around it.

I for one, am switching to Fox or Toon Link for my answer to the Dedede problem.


Bobby I think you're a cool dude, I enjoy playing you- but perhaps just let the loss at FR go- and come back next time with renewed determination.

I'm not saying try and get along with everyone- as much as I love unity, I KNOW some people in the smash community will NEVER get along with some other individuals.
Think whatever you like about people- just take it out on them next time in brackets.

Bobby... :/ - i loved the response to xif's comment. i'm liking the whole "blurring the line between prepubescence and maturity" concept. i guess in your mind that's striking ahead, but i'll tell you, it ACTUALLY sets you back as a human being. always the ridiculous case with you, "I'm cool with someone until i happen to lose a match to them." thinking of yourself as good is being confident, but thinking of yourself as perfect while underestimating others is foolhardy, and you need to know that if you plan to get through life at all. if it wasn't me that beat you, you would have been pissed off at any other individual who beat you, unless it was Chad or Mikey, although if it were Mikey, it might be accompanied with a john such as, "The TV was laggy.", which is a john you actually used that day. Mikey said he didn't notice such lag, but i doubt he will say anything about it just to avoid an idiotic confrontation with you. and, i suppose Chad is one of the people you feel is not beneath you, or you have some understanding with him, i don't know.


but now, to address your points about the matches you played, i feel i have my facts very straight. for starters, in your match against Tong, you tried to camp him with grenades to force him towards you, then ftilt him away and do it again, or use usmash to stop him from coming to close. if those didn't work, you would dash attack through him and throw grenades again. I told Tong to use Razor Leaf against your grenades to stop them, and it worked. you could have just stopped throwing grenades against Ivysaur, but instead of adapting to that, you continued to throw them and it almost cost you the match. Tong was simply countering your grenade camping with his own razor leaf camping.
you tried the same thing against me, but when i started catching your grenades and throwing them back at you, you were forced to come to me. i would read your dash attack, then pivot around and chain grab you. also, when i approached you, you always tried to ftilt me, so when i read the ftilt, i would dodge the second hit, then chain grab you again. simple strategies, but you fell for them, so that's all i needed to use. just suck it up, get better, and beat me next time. simple as that. maybe next time, you'll beat me, and i'll have to work on a way to beat you, who knows. you see, bobby, what you need to understand is that sometimes in life, things don't always work the way you want them to, or the way you think that they should. humans are supposed to specialize in adaptablility, but sometimes this proves false, of course. also, while you may be mad at me, desu has nothing to do with that, and attacking him is ridiculous and proves your already very blatant child-like behavior. just because YOU can't deal with dedede doesn't mean that others can't, and it doesn't disprove the credibility of his or my victories. i couldn't deal with JWong's diddy, and i told him his diddy surprised me. i surely didn't try to spit on him for outsmarting me as you're doing. i told him i simply needed practice against that strategy.


also, you claim that the two of us playing each other under a 5 minute ruling was somehow tilted in my favor. with the way you were playing the matchup, i was at an advantage because i was reading you, and knew what to do against snake, as i have played and beaten mike's snake on several occasions. you were playing that matchup completely wrong, and it backfired, but that's the only way you knew to play it, just like me against diddy. dedede is slow up close, so why would i fight you there? snake destroys dedede and most other characters in close quarters, so i had you come to me on my terms, and it worked. you could have changed your strategy and rushed me, and it would have put more pressure in me, but instead you chose to stick to your strategy and paid dearly for it. your own fault, and nothing to do with any other outside factor. plus, it would not have been fair to anyone else who had to play under 5 minutes to change the time to 7 minutes simply because you felt you had to have your way against me, which i pointed out to you before, but you don't seem to concerned about anyone or anything outside of yourself, so we'll move on from that.


you always play the drama queen in the community, blowing up constantly when you lose a match. it's never you, is it? i mean, you ARE bobby, so you can't possibly lose on your own accord. it HAS to be an outside factor. you always seem to try and intimidate and bully people with your attitude during tournaments, and unfortunately for you, it did not work on me. i'm sure there are several GA players that would agree with me, but i doubt any will back me, as most seem afraid of any type of conflict whatsoever, which is one thing i do respect about you; your ability to speak your mind. i like that in people, but in most cases, you do it to the point of being a jerkoff, and that's where all the respect is lost. your attitude is simply revolting, and i'm surprised datman and your other friends even tolerate that garbage. maybe you don't act this way towards them, i don't know, and i hope you don't, since they're supposed to be your friends.


so, in closing, lick your wounds, mend your bruised ego, and come correct next time you play me or anyone else. i was mad calm during Final Round, as i just wanted to beat you and move on with the tourney. but, if you EVER say anything like that to my face again, best believe, i WILL straight embarrass you in front of everyone. and that is NO idle threat. i don't tolerate a lot of disrespect, and i am usually very patient with people, but your attitude towards people make me want to vomit up my own organs at times.

P.S. : GA players, stand up for yourselves. If any of you agree or disagree with this stuff that Bobby or I am saying, PLEASE comment. I would like to hear/read people's opinions on the matter, even if you don't like what i am saying. That's all...

first off... i take back what i said against desu... i never played him cept friendlies and i never saw him really camp my bad guy. But what is this about a laggy TV... i never said anything about a laggy TV haha. My main beef isnt even the fact that i lost because i got out camped *******, it's because the entire tourney you were *****ing about the time limit and when we have a chance to change it you completely change your mind... what a coward. furthermore, **** you for thinking that i believe anyone is below me, i play anyone who wants to, i help out people a TON, and im generally a very very nice guy. But when a ruleset is completely flawed and biased towards certain characters and makes the playing field uneven, im gonna be a child and get extremely pissed off. The ruleset was garbage and so was that tourney. If wes was there he would have had my back 100% and you can count on that ****. **** FR

and this "no idle threat" bull****, dude **** you ill talk all the **** i want all day when i have a right to do so. So if the next tourney is just as much bull**** rules... ill be disrespecting your coward a$$ all **** day. fukc you. you arent going to do ****... YOU ARE A COWARD.


P.S. and i think you guys are entirely missing my argument here. I havent john'd about any loss other than the ones lost by time limit. You see any posts hating on you about the second match... nope and why is that, because you beat me fairly... even with the *** time limit i still lost because you played better. I john when it's necessary not because im a little *****. You and everyone there knows that time limit was bull****. Get your ****ing arguments straight. Also i'd like to know other instances where i've "blown up" because of losing or something. I cant really recall any off hand but you seem to know about alot of times i've blown up because of a lose. If i recall i havent even been active in the community for about 8 months.


You say i wasnt concerned with anyone else besides myself? If i recall i was *****ing and complaing the ENTIRE tourney about the time limit. I knew everyone was at a disadvantage because of the time limit and i wanted a fair playing field.. dont say **** about me being selfish... if anything you're the selfish one because you wouldnt change it at the last minute even though you too were *****ing about the time limit. Also, it would have been fair because 1 of the TVs had NO time limit set and 2 others had 7 minute time limits.... JESUS ****ING CHRIST i've already said ALL of this but somehow you guys just miss my arguments and argue against something you think you can beat.... PAY F*CKING ATTENTION.

Do you honestly believe that it would have given you that much of a chance to beat Marty and then Wong because last I saw Wong handled Marty like a barely legal blonde with pigtails. lol no offense to marty and none to you either but I'm curious.
