I want Mac to be playable, and the headgear item sounds like a great idea.

I do think the ring is a must for Punch Out's stage.

It would be cool if sometimes some of the boxers from Punch Out would come and start fighting. You could have Glass Joe who tries to attack and can be beaten up. Or Don Flamenco who would sit there and only counter attacks that hit him. Maybe Mr Sandman would lay waste to the stage.

Of course, Little Mac has to have a special taunt here with Doc Louis.

Okay, one thing that I've definitely noticed is that Little Mac talk is in a bit of a dry spell. That being said, while one of the more popular newcomers in the West, his stagnant topic remained on the final pages for so long, among the forgotten likes of the Zant thread.

This brings me to another point that Chronobound has mentioned. Could this make Mac not as likely as we think? For me personally, I still think that he and Ridley will get in due to their Western Support, seeing as even Japan notes their definite Western flair. Any other inputs on this?

I personally think Little Mac is very likely. However, I don't have much to say about the character beyond that.

I think most Mac fans are secure enough in their belief that the character that they odn't feel the need to discuss him all that much.

That's what I've personally been thinking. As I said earlier, apparently even Japan notes the Western popularity of Ridley and Little Mac, so I don't think it's a stretch at all for Sakurai to add them. He's actually the 5th/6th Most Likely in my opinion, tied with Takamaru. Mainly due to the parallels that can be drawn between their support.

I showed my support to the Punch-Out!! franchise by getting the NES game from both Wii and 3DS Virtual Console AND spent some Club Nintendo coins for Super Punch-Out!! I still need to get the Wii game though. Little Mac and King Hippo are my most wanted Punch-Out!! characters.

The Wii game is the best if you missed out on the NES one. The only problem with it is it reuses most of the boxers. It would have been better had they added more. It's still a fun game. Next Level Games does a great job.

I've played all of the games & they're all fantastic. I would love it if Little Mac were playable. I think that King Hippo would make a nice boss since he's so huge & once he runs out of health, he's knocked out for good

Punch Out Wii !!! seems to the be the one Wii Nintendo game I can't 100% say I want it. I'm not sure why, since I really want to try Punch Out!! to see what Little Mac is all about.

There's this one character in Tekken who could only use boxing moves right? IIRC he couldn't kick, just dodge and punch with boxing moves. It's extremely likely I think Little Mac will play something like that.

I am all for Little Mac in Sm4sh!!!! he was one of my most wanted newcomers for brawl, so its only natural for me to want him even more in the next game! IMO he has pretty solid potential in smash all around. heres to hoping he makes it in this time

Hmm...there's something that I've been wondering. It's occasionally brought up alongside Little Mac, but the answers on how to incorporate it vary greatly. I'll ask it, the eternal question: How should Doc Louis be utilized?

Personally, I so go all out. Appear in the background of the stage like the Pokemon Trainer, give a Codec, an have a role in the Story Mode, where he is on a quest to get the other fighters to join Club Nintendo .

Snake, Fox, Pit, Mac, that's a lot of dialogue to write.

I'd think it'd be more appropriate if Doc was in the Punch-Out stage and would cheer on Mac when he's there.

Yeah, Steve would be an excellent reference for Little Mac. Not only that, but putting in a strong evasive game is rather uncommon in 2D fighters in general. I'd figure Little Mac would play in a rushdown-whiff punishing way. He goes in fishing for openings, but can also switch to a more defensive game where he punishes mistakes that requires baiting the mistakes out.
