King K. Rool New Support Thread

I'm sorry King K. Rool fans but i could resist creating a new support thread, the other was really bad

About Suport Thread

Well since i aint very good at getting on the computer, i thought this thread could be more of a community, like I Aint going to be some freak that spends millions of hours updating it, with no one having their opinion, so pretty much this thread will be empty if no one helps. Okay now lets just jet back to King K. Rool. I'm likely to only appear on Smashboards twice a day so be patient if i haven't been on for along time.

History
By Xianfeng

King K.Rool made his glorius debut in Donkey Kong Country the SNES smash hit where he stole DK's banana hoards opposed to stealing his girlfriend like many villains of the time. After being defeated by Donkey and his simian pal Diddy he kidnapped Donkey again demanding the banana hoard, assuming the kongs would fail without Donkey however Diddy Kong and his girlfriend Dixie Kong defeated him and his Kaptain Persona. After two previous defeats K.Rool tried something different kidnapping the original DKC duo and brainwashing them into becoming KAOS, a villain! This was under his K.Roolestein persona, who was then defeated by Dixie and her cousin Kiddy.
He also appeared in the Donkey Kong Land games on the Gameboy, the first Donkey Kong Land was a seperate game and completely different from Donkey Kong Country and K.Rool was defeated atop Big Ape City. The other two Donkey Kong Lands appeared very similar to their country equivilants and thus he kept his role and personas from those games.
Many years later K.Rool rebuilt his island Crocodile island as a mecha-island and enlisting the help of Snide a weasel who would soon betray him he attempted to destroy DK Island but stole DK's bananas and some of his friends to distract him, here he was defeated again appearing in a fourth persona "King KRUSHA K.Rool" The boxer as well as his regular default King persona.
After Nintendo sold Rare K.Rool's character went on a hiatus with the lackluster often hated by DKC fans "Donkey Kong Jungle Beat" where he was replaced with a much more unpopular and unoriginal character "Ghastly King" he then returned in the bongo blasting "Donkey Konga".
His real return was on the Gameboy Advance's "DK: King of Swing" where he was again the main antagonist to DK and his pals, he resumed this role in the much more popular sequal "Donkey Kong Jungle Climber" He made his first playable debuts in multiplayer of both those games. He again found himself playable as a secret character in Paon's "Donkey Kong Barrel Blast" on the Wii.
K.Rool also appeared in Donkey Kong Country the television series, which didn't last very long. He wore a very very short cape and seemed to be more incompitant as most TV show villains are. Like most of the cast he underwent a drastic makeover and had a tendency to break into song a lot.

Moveset

Written by KingK.Rool

:: A ::

A: A regally calm backhand.

Double A: Claap

Triple A: stomack smash.

Forward A: King K. Rool’s claw shoots forward, then arcs up. Depending on when foes are hit, they can fly in just about any direction.

Up A: The King shakes his head up, and his crown flies slightly off, hitting foes above him. Tiny hitbox but fair damage.
Down A: King K. Rool swipes a claw on the ground in front of him.
Forward Smash: King K. Rool draws his musket and makes a powerful jab in front of him with it.

:: B ::

B – Blunderbuss Shot – King K. Rool draws a large musket, and, holding it in one hand, fires a cannonball straight in the direction you point the control stick. If you shoot straight up, it will likely fall right back down and hit him. It’s fairly quick, and highly gravity influenced; it takes some practice to have good aim. It has limited range, but is extremely powerful when it hits. After he’s drawn his musket, you can tap A to shoot repeatedly, but the shots will get weaker and weaker. Does about 20% at first.

Forward B – Crown Boomerang – Though it’s corny and predictable, King K. Rool launches his crown, and, whether it hits or not, it flies on back to him. A fairly weak attack, but, if it hits an opponent on the way back to K. Rool, it will bounce off of him as if it was thrown all over again, and start flying back again. It can hit someone quite a few times, with some aim.

Up B – Jet Shoes/Feet – King K. Rool lifts a fist, and jets in his… um… feet catapult him for a good distance straight up. He has terrible horizontal recovery, though. If he hits anyone with his fist on his upward arc, they take some damage, but not much.

Down B – The Kremling King – King K. Rool takes a small, squealing Kremling out of his billowing cloak and holds the poor creature in front of him. If it’s hit, it shouts and thrashes back, hitting any opponent nearby (making it a counter). After a second or so, King K. Rool puts it away.

:: Smash ::

Up Smash: King K. Rool casually thrusts his fist up into the air.

Down Smash: King K. Rool flops up and down several times on the ground, almost doing the Worm. Foes on the ground nearby get launched straight up.

Dash Attack: He trips into a clumsy roll. An easily countered attack.

:: Air ::

Neutral Air: King K. Rool twirls in midair, striking foes on both sides with his cape.

Forward Air: A two-handed punch, somewhat like DK’s, but quicker. It’s a spike.

Back Air: King K. Rool elbows mightily behind him. As a lazy king, he refuses to move more than his arm.

Up Air: He snaps in the air above him with his huge jaws. A very powerful but slow attack.

Down Air: King K. Rool pulls his legs in, than thrusts them both down with great strength.

:: Grab ::

Grab: King K. Rool grabs a foe by the collar with both hands.

Forward Throw: A powerful blow to the face with one hand sends the foe keeling away.

Back Throw: The King bites down on the foe’s head, then launches him over his shoulders.

Up Throw: King K. Rool swats the foe lightly, then delivers a mighty two-handed uppercut.

Down Throw: King K. Rool smashes the foe on the head with one hand.

:: Taunt ::

Taunt 1: K. Rool belly flops on the ground and breakdances a bit.

Taunt 2: He throws his crown in the air and catches it.

Taunt 3: Does that pose in the artwork where he has the boxing gloves in the air (from DK64?).

Winning Taunt: Fires his blunderbuster from DKC2 in the air.

:: Final Smash ::

Help Fill in The Gaps.

Stats

These are K. Rools stats on a 5 point system

Jumping***

K. Rool in previous games has a high jump. It's likely that his first jump being bad but second high, similar to Luigi. But the question is will his jumping get deducted, since he is a heavy weight.

Size ****

Resonably Tall, no taller than bowser

Weight ****

K. Rool is a heavy weight, although reasonabbly fast.

Grab range

Strength

Attack Speed

Lag****

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, K. Rool appeared as a trophy, and in it's breifing it mentioned that he has alot of lag

Recovery

Fall Speed

Speed***

Although was fast in his games, K. Rool, compared to Sonic etc. would be quite slow, he is a tiny bit be hind the average speed

KOability

Pros And Cons

Pros

1) He already has moves, unlike some characters that have made it in the past.

2) He's from a very important franchise. If I read correctly, he's from the 4th best selling franchise in Nintendo and the 9th overall.

3) He's a villain. Many people think that we need more.

4) He's a heavyweight. There aren't exactly a lot of them in Brawl right now.

Cons

1) He originated in America, not Japan.

2) He's from Rare, which was bought by Microsoft (Xbox), and he's only appeared in one game since villain or playable.

3) Nintendo is really trying to match up stages with characters, and since Rumble Falls is from DK Jungle beat, the villain could be.... l.l' Not true he has appeared in many new DK games, but no real main villian.

Often Asked Questions (With Rebuttal)

Q1) King K. Rool, is just like Bowser, so why have him in?

A1) Although he may look more cartoony version of Bowser, he is completely different to him, both his stats and his attacks. He is alot more ligter and faster. Whilst bowsers attacks are more physical, K. Rools are always involving more items.

Q2) K. Rool will be not serious like Wario, they'll be too many comedy villians. It might ruin the character roster?

A1) He maybe funny at sometimes, but is cosidered sinister sometimes

Story With Subspace

Ideas by people in this thread.

1) Since Bowser, has gone into the DK universe and taken Donkey Kongs banana's, then K. Rool can go to Mario universe, and take something otherthan Peach (SPOILER since Wario steals her.) Preferably K. Rool battles Luigi (Since Mario goes and attacks the heart of Subspace.)

2) Diddy Kong could have got split up by Donkey Kong when Bowser and King K. Rool attacked them.

3) 1) He joins another villainous group (other than the Subspace Embassy,) called the Sinister Kings (it containing King Dedede, King Porkey [if Clause is pc] amd maybe Bowser king of the Koopas.) Pretty much they hate both Subspace Embassy and anti- Subspace Embassy.

4) Popular characters to rival with K. Rool are Luigi, Samus, Megaman or Captain Falcon.

5) King K. Rool is more likely to be a pc, so if their was a boss in the Subspace it would be Wizpig. Alot of Wizpigs attacks would be taken from Diddy Kong Racing, like his plane, hovercraft, car, and lighthouse rocket.

Levels

1) Gangplank Galleon:
  • Platforms
  • Background: Whilst your player fight, the Gangplank Galleon will circle Crocodile Isle. As it circles you may notice the inhabitants of the isle and key parts of Crocodile Isle, such as Crocodile Cauldron, Krem Quay, Krazy Kremland, Gloomy Gulch, K. Rool's Keep and Flying Krok. After circling the Crocodile Isle for a while yyou may notice some of these key points will change, like Krazy Kremland's rollercoaster may have stopped and now the ferris wheall will start running. After a while playing on the field Crocodile Isle will sink (like in Donkey Kong Coutnry.) With the isle gone, survivors of Crocodile isle, will float on all the rubble, and if they can hit you long range they will. Woah suddenly, Crocodile Isle has lifted up again, quickly get some shelter, dodge the humungous wave. Any way after that has happened the isle looks like a mess. After a while of circling Crocodile Isle, you may notice some changes, same as before, except their is one humungouse one, Krem Quay and Crocodile cauldren have combined together to make Krem Cauldren. By now you may have been playing on this level for half an hour, and you realise the boat is heading towards Crocodile Isle, into Lost World, where you battle out their for a bit. Soon Krokodile Kore soon, shakes, so jump on board, and let the story repeat again.

Come on mods, let this thread live. He's right, the old one is terrible.

Here, I'll even post my take on his moveset:

B – Blunderbuss Shot – King K. Rool draws a large musket, and, holding it in one hand, fires a cannonball straight in the direction you point the control stick. If you shoot straight up, it will likely fall right back down and hit him. It’s fairly quick, and highly gravity influenced; it takes some practice to have good aim. A fairly weak attack, but, if it hits an opponent on the way back to K. Rool, it will bounce off of him as if it was thrown all over again, and start flying back again. It can hit someone quite a few times, with some aim.

Conclusion: King K. Rool is fairly large and bulky, but has excellent recovery despite his weight. Using him takes practice, but, once you can aim his musket, know how to string his unique attacks, and have mastered the art of The Kremling King, his unusual style will do the rest.

Hopefully they use his Rare design, his anime-esque looks plain and boring, and doesn't capture his personality

To Thread Creator: K. Rool also appeared in Donkey Konga, althought the only thing he did was getting smashed by a barrel and singing in the background.

I think that K. Rool should be in his King Outfit with his other alias as alt costume, however, he could still use moves from all of his alter-ego.

He might make a good character for brawl, but I'd rather see him as an assist trophy.

Kremling Power needs a sig... please K. Rool fans help make some.

Ones good:

1) A slim moving sig (Similar to Club A.S.H.L.E.Y)

2) A big sig, but still, (similar to the original Geno club sig)

Alot of games. Ie -

-Gears Of War
-Ninja Gaiden
-Bioshock
-Half Life
-Oblivion
-Mass Effect, possibly

Please take your ignorant Nintendo fanboyisms out this thread.

And yes RARE has went downhill since it left Nintendo but mainly because it lost most of its staff. Nothing to do with Microsoft.
