They literally showed the opening cutscene for XCX on the Treehouse stream. It consists of two alien species showing up in the space over Earth, and starting an all out war with each other. Humanity, knowing the Earth is doomed, attempts to evacuate on a number of arc ships. As all the ships manage to make it out of Earths atmosphere, the planet blows up right on screen. The story then follows a ship that literally has "United States" plastered on the side of it, as some of the aliens pursue it and cause it to crash down on another planet. Klaus was nowhere involved in that cutscene. I suppose this Earth could be the world that resulted from Shulk resetting the universe, however there's nothing so far that would support such a theory other than a girl with some monado themed hair clips, which could easily be written off as just a reference.

Or, when Shulk created a new world at the end, the rest of the universe could have been reset too. Maybe Earth came back (who knows, Alvis could have worked some magic computer stuff in there to do it), and the world the humans escape to is the new world from the end of Xenoblade. I dunno', I guess I might be reaching a bit. That's been my theory for a while, though.

Oh, and let me clarify a bit. I think that Shulk and gang's stories are over as well, I'm fine not seeing them again. But I would be really sad for that whole amazing universe just to be a distant memory. Especially with the end of Xenoblade being the way it is.

While we're on the topic of XCX, I'd really recommend you guys watch one of the two treehouse streams if you haven't already.

This was the stream from day one. Along with the story, it also goes into good detail with classes, equipment and arts.

Here's the stream from day three. It's the same demo, only this time they dig deeper into character customization, collectibles, and the commentary from the treehouse team is slightly more entertaining in my opinion.

The day one coverage gives a better view of the intro if I remember correctly.

Aside from accents, I'm still wondering if the main character is really going to be completely silent or not. Aside from in battle grunts and what not, the main character hasn't spoken. It's possible that despite being a customized character, they can still have a voice to go with the story. (Think Mass Effect.)

On the other hand, if the character is silent... I wonder if they are going to give us text choices to make for our character to reply with... or if it's going to be the type of silent character that just blankly stares into space and never says anything through text or otherwise. I'll admit I'd be disappointed then. I'd probably stick my character somewhere once I got enough members to switch the character out and pretend they don't exist, lol.

The treehouse team does say towards the beginning of the stream that there will be times that you'll have multiple dialogue options to choose from. I'm hoping the player character's silence is just a simple case of the game not being finalized, with the recording for all of his/her alternate voice actors/actresses still needing to be finished. Or perhaps he/she will talk more as the game progresses past the point seen in the demo, as most of the cutscene dialogue in the demo is pretty much Elma delivering exposition to him/her.

I'm saving it for Shulk. Captain Falcon is just a stand-in. I want Shulk, then I want to come back to this thread and see several posts with Shulk in the background before bursting into tears.

Well like someone posted earlier it looks as if there is a evacuation ship for each country so British voice acting could appear in certain places in the game.

Shulk was the only one the Monado would let hold it. It only wanted Shulk, and Shulk only wanted it. Every time Shulk called its name, Monado felt happy. Needed. But over time, as they ventured together, Monado began to doubt. 'When he holds me, does he see me as just a tool? Or am I more than that to him?'

I do believe that there are monsters, so they need to defend themselves. Can Shulk still use his Replica Monados? Or can he summon the Monado III at will? Fiora with two giant knives helps.

And yes, the armor's for fighting. At least, that's it's intended use. Shulk, no ideas. And wouldn't ShulkXMonado (Shulknado?) be selfcest or ShulkXAlvis?
