Taking time out of my job search to go look for a venue for a bunch of people I've never met, spending hours researching potential places, spending many more hours actually driving to them and seeing if they were viable, almost getting the cops called on me for "suspicious behavior," and putting myself and my property at risk to supply a TV and game consoles. I like how all of those videos are insane discoveries for brawls metagame just to keep up with MK's easy mode style of playing. You have to execute ******** timing with frame specific moves that are very situational and easily countered by MK. just wait for a moment then uAir=shield poke. Its just amusing that people who don't play MK have to learn insane ways to counter MKs metagame that on the other end requires little to no effort. (And even this falls short)
Diddy must run towards the ledge and use the 6 frames of shield lag to push him offstage and buffer an aerial that hits in less than 13 frames. at the same time. The MK just needs to uAir regrab ledge or wait until the shield doesn't cover feet. Its like fighting Shao Kahn or Ivan Ooze.

I dont think its a dumb discovery. I'm sorry I ***** so much about MK with these kind of things but he is literally ruining my enjoyment of the game. Whenever I see timeouts and other talentless wins from MKs or MK dittos for GFs, WF, and LFs I guess its just frustrating. Still it is a very cool discovery. My post was in no way demeaning what you posted. But rather that so much effort on non MKs part is required to match such minimal effort on an MKs part is all.

Don't worry it's okay. I understand what you're going through, especially since I main a character that has little to no chance of making it far in tournies. You just gotta keep moving forward no matter what.

It's not really new. I remember Reflex talking about it when he came for a tournament down here a year+ ago, and others have known about it as well. It's just it requires the MK to attack your shield, and any deterioration of your shield significantly hampers the effectiveness of this method. All this does is help MK bait people to doing a horrible mistake off the level. Between mixing up Up air, Up b, Down B, glide under the stage, drill rush back, etc, you aren't going to get into position.

I think MK could also buffer a reverse up b after the first uair.

Also something to remember, you can't power shield. You have to run up, and intentionally pull up your shield early. This means not only are you positioning yourself before MK ledge drops, you're also bringing up your shield before he attacks. As long as MK mixes up, your shield will deteriorate when he isn't attacking. This also setups him him tornadoing you after your shield is up to move back onto the stage.

Of course, there's always that part about him being able to up air you into the stage lip if you're a frame off in execution.

You want to throw around scrubby like a trendy little hipster gamer then fine I will bite. MK has become what everyone who wanted him banned have feared. When the majority of the community including people who are legitimately good with him want him banned and can sight a never ending supply of proofs for why he should be banned, well at this point it should be put to a vote.
