I would actually love to see videos showing off how great Bowser's customs, especially Dash Slash, can be. I have only seen one video of Mr.Eh against a Rosalina, and I wasn't convinced. No intention of criticizing Eh there, the move just didn't seem important.

Did you play Bowser in Brawl? You don't seem to be really mortified about how BAD side B actually is in this game now lol. That's not to say that playing Brawl Bowser will open your eyes about how Dash Slash is the future (I don't really agree with this either, but that's because I don't really like customs)--in fact, playing Brawl Bowser will just make you miserable.

I'm only a bit curious.

Today I JUST HAD THE worst for glory experience ever. this was against a Rosalina player who always kept using luma as smasher and a blocker. the player just kept CONSECUTIVELY grabbing me and kept doing forward air and up airs that i couldnt even escape. and in the end he taunted me repetitively and changed his name tag to the N word when he left the for glory lobby. This just makes me despise for glory even more since there are players out there who don't even know the meaning of the word respect.

Sorry to hear that, man. The Rosalina MU requires a ton of patience, which can be frustrating over For Lag. Having someone taunt repeatedly amd then effectively call you the n word is just beyond disgusting. Whatever you do, please don't ever take this or ANY troll FG players as you being a lesser player. Use FG as a way to practice MUs and nothing more. If the lag is real, drop out. If the person is an ass, drop out.

I played Bowser in Brawl, but I wasn't of a competitive mindset back then.

I totally understand that Klaw is not great now, and it got nerfed hard, but Klaw still gets me a lot of my kills. It also is the most goddamn satisfying move to land in this game.

Things like this are why I'm glad that unlike the other modern fighters(UMVC3, Injustice, PSAS, USFIV), Smash doesn't have mid-game voice chat.

I want to love this game so much, I really do. I want to love Bowser so much, I really, REALLY do! I apologize for the lack of rant control but seriously it gets so fusturating!!!

My problem is a Lag problem.
My problem is that my Lag problem, spikes!
My problem is to do with how block press/release input is threated with Lag in THIS game.
My problem is to do with the ZERO alternatives for competitive play because there is no Smash scene right where I am despite the irony of this game being sold out everywhere in my locale. (Everyone I know here buys this game for novelty/collective reasons)
My problem is that after Chinese New Years, my ISP took a dive from what is already Lag hell, to just plain unplayable.
My problem is that because I have no competitive alternative, the FG win% I have dropping, really KILLs me as a gamer!
My problem is with how Connectivity to a single person starts to spike, more frequently, the longer the session is.

My one wish would be that if I could play this game in a scene, I'd just be frigging happy.

Sorry guys I just had to let that one out.

You see I've been gaming with what some would call religious fortitude, for over 20 years now. All kinds of stuff; digital, tabletop, larp, trading card games, strategy, sandbox, whatever. All through the years I've been dealing with teh lag with little room to complain or do anything about. (due to the quality control and political distress in my country, imagine WoW at 700ms and spikes)

I can't stress that. I had to express it somewhere.

I have always tried to encourage gaming as a productive feed to do in past time over my locale over many years. I even take part in local scenes such as Street Fighter, Team Fortress 2 when it's healthy. The problem with having those here is that those scenes are now come and gone, with everyone who was in em having moved from their gaming culture onto married life. (Those two are difficult to mix in our current generation of South East Asians, at least for Malaysia)

Come by 2014 and a game which mechanics and harmony of gameplay elements comes along that I'd tear myself to pieces to play, but with an audience of 3ds owners who play nothing but MH4U and Pokemon, and more Pokemon, I can't get into this game the way I would <3 to! Imagine all of some favorite characters you've room for your heart in but ONE game, and nobody to play it with. Teh Sucks.

I experience people like this quite often. One person is particular, that I remember is a Lil Mac player who went by the name of "GOD" (which was already pretty egotistical as it was). He had about 6 different tags which were all meant to demean the opposing player. I wanted to get the Little Mac matchup down, so I played him over and over, and despite his cockiness he was a pretty good Little Mac, one of the better ones I've faced. I think he won once against me, but regardless of this, he used tags like, "URBAD", "URaFAG", "LRN2PLY", and the likes. Just as Zigsta said, use For Glory for Match-Up practice, and nothing more. That being said, Smash Ladder will do you one better.

Also, never ever take losses on online too personally. It's harder to punish rolls and predictable behavior on online, than it is on offline. It's something I've learned about playing this game.

But all joking aside, It's understandable that you are frustrated, Bowser is already pretty difficult to play, and he's 10 times harder to use in lag. Hopefully once the festivities settle down you'll start to get better latency. Best of luck to you!

You play smash while drunk and it's like everything moves in slow motion so you can react and see **** you can't see when you're sober. Drunken melee was amazing, I swore I could've JV 5'd Mango, but then I sobered up and sucked again. Oh well

I'm also extremely against the Affordable Blue Shell act. America doesn't need to be like these other nations. Yet we face the challenge of immigration from States such as Sarasaraland and the BeanBean Kingdom every day. Every time we send our special, Brooklyn plumber forces to quell their national conflicts, they fail to establish a stable, democratic regime. And the princess just keeps getting kidnapped! Whenever you have time, update your 3DS FC in your profile and/or Bowser Finder thread so Bowser Board hunters can add you + notify you, or start a PM to notify a fellow hunter of your availability and when to create/join a room with a passcode. You can directly add someone to your friend list from MH4U as long as you're in a room with them.

What Doubled teams have you had success with for Bowser? I played with a Jigglypuff partner, and it was amazing. He could cover the air while I went wild on the ground. We were never in one another's way.

DASH SLAM IS GODLIKE. Between the custom matches I've played today, I think I used it more than any other move. The increase in range surprises so many characters that it's hilarious.
