Cort did anyone in the Top 8 play more than one character? I just asked PC and he said he played Falco + ROB too; Ankoku needs this data, I think...

How exactly is the data taken into consideration?

Because PC used Falco/ROB a grand total of once each the entire time he was at the tournament. Wouldn't it skew the data a bit?

I was just using PC as an example...so the characters listed in the top 8 are what the ppl used during the majority of the tournament, right?

Right. I used Metaknight once or twice I think...

I dunno how the system works, actually - maybe you should leave the characters there and then someone could ask Ankoku about it? This is actually kind of a big problem because if ppl reported character usage in previous tournaments and an alternate was used only once then he'd have to throw his list out the window >_>;

In other news nice job at winning Cort, hoping to see you at a MW tourney someday XD

I'd say if someone commonly used multiple characters, take note of that. Like if someone used 2 characters vs. everyone he played, or if they played one character vs. one part of the cast, and another character to counterpick the rest. But if someone like Pc played Yoshi against some guy who sucked only, there's no reason to write that down.

good **** everyone, sorry I couldn't make it, especially good **** to team Double Dragon for taking me and Darc's teamname from the last Esticle and placing 3rd again.

The results don't surprise me at all.

Sol was using Dedede most of the time from what I saw. Roga also went Wolf vs me.

Although I still think it was extremely sneaky of CT to make this tourn an ECC point tourn at the last minute (practically making it impossible for NJ or NY to make plans to travel there, giving ct the advantage) erm.. it was run really really well and I had a good time.

Uhhh NOONE uses gamer tags in this place so I have no idea who to make shout outs too except

PC - Good matches, I hope to fight you again when I get better. I had fun during those matches.

Poffy - You're done with doubles for good, I bet. Fun friendlies. Too bad we didn't get a chance to 1v1.

Jake - We played some good rounds. Maybe I'll pose a better challenge when I develop a better Snake strategy. Really tough fights, I'm looking forward to some more some day.

I Can't Win - Good luck on developing that Capt. Falcon metagame. Nice Snake though.

Nana - I like the Marth man. Maybe we can play some more matches sometime.

JV Smooth - Theme Teams? I don't even remember if we played 1v1 or not. If not, we should on Wifi or at the next tourney.

PRiDE - Hope to play that Yoshi again sometime. Silly grab range. Crafty playstyle, though.

Swift - I want to finish that match! I can't believe they cut that match off.

I probably forgot others, but my brain is incapable of thinking of any other names.

This tournament was a lot of fun! As always, it was a pleasure seeing everyone and meeting some cool new people. I'll post full shoutouts later. By the way, since people seem to be keeping track of chars used, I went ROB a number of times too, but I used Meta for the majority of my matches because I seemed to be playing best with him (but thats probably because he's so good!) I used ROB against Pride twice and once against Roga. Also, I believe Roga used a fair amount of Wolf in the tournament, and I think Hayato used Kirby, ZSS, Snake, and Marth.

I hope I can manage to switch work to Sunday again one of these days so I can attend another event!

I used Falco for the entire tourney. I entered the tourney as "Juggernaut".

ICan'tWin: Awesome Captain Falcon dude. That first match we had was intense. Good luck on developing that metagame you and the few other c-falc players are working on!

JV- I definitely didn't expect you to pull out the beastly Mario like that haha. Good games bro.

Brookman - You shineblinded me....in Brawl. Good **** dude lol.

Second Chance - Your DK is a beast. The matches we had were really good. Thanks to you I'll be a little more prepared next time I fight a good DK.

IcyLight - Your Olimar destroyed me. Looks like I'm going to have to work on fighting Olimars haha. good games.

Prince of Fire - As always, thanks for helping me out and giving me some advice to get better. I'm already starting to notice some improvements.

PC Chris - I have to send a shoutout your way for using Falco in the tourney. I main Falco and watching you use Falco to advance in the tourney a little was pretty awesome. I was pretty close to jumping ship to pick up a metaknight or a snake, but I think I'm going to stick with Falco and help develop his metagame.

Digital Mayhem / Cort - Great job with running the tourney. Everything went really smooth and I barely waited for matches.

I'm only picking on Yoshi because it's an example of a character I don't see much of. Not because you play him. I don't know you (at least I don't remember you), so I'm not picking on you.

Well I used ROB, and PC used Falco against me, so add that to PCs list.

Sir James (Juggernaut?): Great stuff man, like Rich, you're a socialite smasher, which I love to come across. We had some great conversations with your bud who played Link and Zelda. Not to mention he was right about Link's bombs, had some epic bombage in our matches. Despite your 2nd tourney, (mine too for Brawl) you were persistent and friendly, which gets an A+ in my book. Glad to meet you and your friend, I really hope we can play over wifi or see each other at another upcoming tournament. PM me too.

Prince of Fire: Prince! I hadn't had met you before, but we had crossed paths here on the boards. To be honest, I have nothing but good to say about you, along with almost everyone here I'm giving a shout out to. I loved our team matches between you and that random kid with Rich and myself. Snake seems to be your character, so keep at it, I ****ing loved it, especially in those close two on one matches where you kept your cool and managed to stay alive while dishing out the damage. All in all, it was fun meeting you man, hope to see you around the boards or next tourney some time. (Had to C4 stick you that one match >,<)

BEAST: You're shirt was the best in teh whole worldz , and I mean, THE BEST. Captain America really should make a move from Marvel vs. Capcom into Brawl, it would make things all that much better.

You're Donkey Kong made me cry and wet my pants, thats how good it was. Not to mention the beastly (pun?!?!) Fthrows into the stage walls. You're a real nice guy, not to mention you look exactly like one of my friends O.o;;. Keep up that Kong man, give people the Clap, and continue Donkey Punching all those who get in your way. (Wow, DK is a really sexual character isn't he.............................)

Ace: Ahhhh, no matter how much Sonic may suck, I still pay my respects for you playing him, as I've encountered as much scorn for playing Falcon.

Anyone I bummed a cigarette to: Good smokes guys, on the house, any time. Had a great time and hope to see you guys at the next tourney. I don't remember the other Sonic player other than Ace, was it Alex? But anyways, good stuff guys, see you next time.

Solid Jake- Truly sad that we have not faced each other since last Esticle. We are both good players with pretty much equal skill and seem to place the EXACT SAME at pretty much every tourney. All in good time....all in good time.

PC-I can't remember the last time my Meta Knight fell to a Falco. You're Falco is reallllllyyyyy good. Close match. You're ROB also looks pretty nasty.

Marth Is My Hero-I think if you relaxed more when you played instead of spassing out you could probably do better. Relax, calm down, and just play and you'll probably do better. Stick to GAW, hes good.

JV-You're a funny guy...you always throw the best humor around at every tourney. You keep me sane most of the time.

Oh yeah, I came in LAST place for teams with large marge sent me. I used Snake....No MK for teams and my friend Kevin (not on smashboards) used Marth...his first and my first time ever doing teams....and I did not really like it too much....not because I did not do well but it was an ENTIRELY different feel to the game. Certain things happen that NEVER happen in single and it was a weird feel.
